Bunny is amazing, but truth is, mankind hasn't understood that the creatures are very intelligent. It can make one cry, knowing all the destruction that mankind has wrought in his clueless lack of understanding, all the precious lives that have been lost due to man's corrupted mental state and ignorant blindness.
Okay that was undeniable, "come look" and she walks over to the window. Bunny you are hilarious and I am proud to have met in your time the missing link. Girl I was babysat by German shepherds, I never doubted your kind.
That’s so interesting to consider how different things appear from varying distances and perspectives! Thanks for being a patient parent and explaining it to Bunny.
It's incredible how developed her cognitive capacity is. I am still kind of doubtful if this is possible but most of these videos are amazing. Their stares are so heart-melting when they want to engage you. Such a blessing!
Dogs really do communicate. We didn't have recordable buttons back when, but my dogs communicated the same, just without the clarity brought by words. My Jack would have been a champion of buttons had we had them then.
Cats developed meowing purely to communicate with humans, because that’s all language is - a series of sounds that we attribute meaning to lol of course they can learn to understand and communicate with us ❤ it’s mostly about how many different sounds the individual dog/cat/animal can identify and attribute meanings to
@@cacatr4495what kind of dog was Jack? I have Cavalier and a Pug/Pom mix who are my best friends and reasonably intelligent (enough to manipulate me😂). I recently took in my mother’s 8 year old Australian Shepherd because she has been too sick to care for him. He is so intelligent, I know he understands many sentences we say. I told my husband I’m going to get him buttons. I know he is older, but I want to give him something to occupy his brain.
@@nursenicole222 Aussie Shepherds are very smart, very mentally quick, well able to learn regardless of age. His/her mind needs to be busy with something constructive, and I'm sure he/she will very much enjoy learning your words and applying them. My Jack was a Great Dane x Akita, very large, very smart, with a low energy speed that allowed him to have a *_very long attention span,_* rather than "all over the map" and distractable like his very busy Springer Spaniel sister whose mind was chiefly occupied with butterflies and birds. Jack focused at length on whatever was going on with us people, and from puppyhood on, I taught him many things and with no exaggeration, thousands of words. He served as a Service Dog as well as best friend, he was wondrous. Unlike the high energy dogs, he wasn't socially demanding but was completely socially engaged with me. You likely know this, but just in case the reader doesn't, whenever a dog tilts his/her head when we talk to them, he/she is trying to understand our words, already knowing that those words have meaning, if only they could know. Such dogs do very well to be taught our words, but the problem occurs when they can't answer us back with the clarity needed. If Jack and I could have had a *_truly two-way_* communication pathway instead of me being somewhat clueless at that stage of my knowledge, we would have had a magical communication stream, not just the impressive and super-special bond that we had. I've had dogs for about forty years, and I've been learning all along, and while he communicated very well for our limitations (Sugar Pie did too), I can only thrill at the knowledge of what it would have been like with them being able to use words themselves. Of course, recordable buttons would not have helped us on desert walks, but I had taught them both to stop if they picked up cactus, and to show me where it was so I could immediately remove it. They both did superbly with that, and with staying away from snakes and scorpions. I had trained them both to identify and avoid those, and though I never asked Sugar to go on point, she did every time she saw a scorpion, keeping a safe distance of about 6'+, staring at it in perfect position so I could see it. I personally feel it's far superior to be able to "read" them so that words aren't necessary, but since we can be clueless and slow to understand them, it seems words are necessary. It has been especially practical that Bunny has been able to communicate her pain, physical challenges, digestive issues, thorn in paw, so that those could be addressed. Even for those dog owners that pay attention and regularly check their dogs' feet, skin and attend their ears, we are still without knowledge that we wish we had since our dogs haven't been able to tell us what's happening with them. Dogs are awesome, but our language limitations hurt us and them. It's bad enough to be clueless, but the cost of not knowing something can be high. 🤔🌵
Bunny is so smart! And I saw your book at our local library! I can't wait to read it! I had to do a double take when I saw it. I looked and saw Bunny and was like, wait a minute...."That's Bunny and her mom!!!!!" I could believe it! I'm so happy for you two and your book! ❤ #bunny
Bubba was right the first time You just didn't see it because you were back further behind the window cute picture sweetie I love your dog I don't know how it ever became but it's the best thing ever God bless you and your family and the furball
I’m not sure they have sufficient eye sight to see the bird versus human, although certainly the human is larger. But there are some very large birds! I think I’ld take Bunny outside to see it up closer and maybe smell the difference since they have stronger smell than eyesight. I always respond to my cats looking outside the window at something they vocalize about in a similar way. It might be something important to my security as well, until I look I don’t know for sure. It’s amazing bunny saw that similarity to the birds in the water and wanted you to look too. They’re even more alert to danger outside than cats are, by their nature as dogs! So worth the discussion. Bunny is so smart in her conversations! I’m always amazed at her perspective!
Cracks me up fascinated by how Bunny associated a human on a paddleboard as a bird. My husband and I I live in Or an we have a Malinios we are interested in teaching by using the think buttons to, thanks for inspiring us!
She is smarter than the average bear. I love your videos wish we all could communicate with our dogs like that to know what they’re thinking. These videos are so awesome.
how cool and friendly (with love) she communicates " come", "look". and how cool and accurate she expresses. and how cool she meets the buttons.!!!! i love her so much! such an amazing being!
My dog is now using food, outside, and play buttons. I have created a nag. 😂 He might be using the water button to tell be bowl is empty. Not sure if those were accidental pushes. I can’t imagine how you got Bunny so verbal. “Come look” !!!
I had a mini poodle many years ago. She would retrieve the same rock over and over again, when I threw it in the water with other rocks of the same size. It was at a lake and I never threw it so deep she would have to dive, but it wasn't entirely clear water. She was the smartest dog I've ever had, and I've had many different breeds. Poodles are great dogs. Bunny is precious. I miss my Lizette, even after all 40 years.
Yup, they had a dramatic season a few years ago. As Bunny learned abstract thinking and categorization more, she kept questioning if she's dog or human, and it seemed like she wanted to be in the same category with her human. It was like when Bunny heard she's a dog, then she said "mom dog" and if she heard mom is human, she went "Bunny human". So they added the "animal" button and told Bunny she's dog animal, mom's human animal, so they're both animal, and family. It seems like Bunny is happy with it.
I took a look at which clip contains this drama; a few from 2~3 years ago with existentialism in their titles have some episodes of it. I think "A Little More Existentialism From Bunny The Talking Dog | What About Bunny" shows this most clearly, starting from 1:35 to the end. And no, Bunny is not confused with the pronouns; they uploaded a video of Bunny learning and using pronouns properly shortly after the clip.
I miss my golden doodle they are so smart. I know bunny isn’t a golden but she is a doodle! Leaves a hole in my heart now that my baby is gone but bunny gives me fond memories of him❤
I can’t believe she was like omg, ma, weird bird on water! It’s fits perfectly with the schemes she knows. Usually it’s a bird, but this one is different, ma, wtf is that?!?
My very very smart dog is about to turn 3, have i left my run too late? He does demonstrate brilliant communication skills, clearly has a very big natural language vocabulary, and is really going above and beyond to try to talk from time to time... I'm new to this account, but totally blown away, this is exactly how i want to be with my boy, and i see how you build on logic formattinh to make it easier for them... do you have instructional videos?
Wait do you live on a houseboat ? Either way this room the buttons are in is magical i love it with the water right there. My dog would endlessly look out the window if we were near water.
She’s looking so well & cuddly & healthy. No I definitely am not suggesting she’s got extra… fur … I’m just guessing her tummy issues have settled down finally?
I still can't wrap my head around how amazing this dog is. I would probably cry every day talking to my pet l o l
Me too!!!❤

I LOVE how you explain things to Bunny! It shows that you understand her intelligence.
You're right! The birds are like a stand-up paddle boarder! 😂
That’s so interesting to consider how different things appear from varying distances and perspectives! Thanks for being a patient parent and explaining it to Bunny.

She saw a human acting like a duck
Her chlices of buttons are excellent
She's so precious.
I believe their distance vision is not as sharp as ours, which would explain why she thought it was a bird. So smart.
