- A generous sampling of some of the best moments of Never Mind the Buzzcocks' flagship intros round from Series 5, the 1999 series, which was so full of great moments that this series gets its own video. These clips were judged on accuracy of the intro, or just how funny they were.
Featuring Mark Lamarr, Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes, and appearances by, to name a few, Kathy Burke, Simon Le Bon, Faye Tozer, Glen Matlock, Junior Simpson, Frank Skinner, Rick Wakeman, Meat Loaf, Billie Piper, Rowland Rivron, Carl Cox, Roy Wood, John Hegley, Kate Thornton, Tony Wright, Howard Jones, Bill Bailey, Tony Hadley, Chrissie Hynde and Josie Lawrence.
(DISCLAIMER: I don't own Never Mind the Buzzcocks, or any of the music clips featured in this video- all credit goes to their respective owners, and especially Fremantle International). - Komedie
Wholesome fact: in addition to selling his own art now, Tony from Terrorvision does dry stone walls now with a guy who plays Kurt in a Nirvana tribute act
"is it 'Live and Let Die'?"
"'Live and Let Die'? Is that one of yours Simon?"
dying
Yup I was and I didn't even know it was him until they said his name it was planet Earth by Duran Duran.
I alway remember that episode with Meatloaf when Mark joined in with the intros round at 10:57, he closed the show with, “this has been Never. Ind the Buzzcocks, I’ve been Mark Lam aaarrr”
That Simon Le Bon clip when they get him to dance is so funny 😂😂
Great Opener. KATHY BURKE!!!!
I love these videos so much, thanks for putting them together and posting!
"Rim-dim-diddly-dim..."
Who was that wonderful man?!
john hegley hahaha - poet!
"THERE'S NO WAY THAT THAT'S THAT!"
He was right. That was shit😂 Phil is just genius at guessing those.
Actually that was pretty easy.
Fellow Wiltshire person as host, I loved it when I seen the first episode.
Would love to see the other series uploaded👍🏼
that would be the ultimate goal
Really miss the old buzzcocks
watch them then🤔
Kathy Burke looks so different. Crazy what the years do.
They all look really different from back then. That's kinda how time works.
@@annnee6818 seriously, most of the commentors were still loading diapers in 1999, I was deciding on a second career after retiring in 1997. yes it does work like that, not mostly in one's favour.
I'm so excited to see her in anything she does. talent, wit and aplomb in a right smack upside the head. I'm a fan of hers for about 30 years.
Sara Cox is still lovely though.
I loved Sara Cox in good old 1996 1999🧓😁☺️😀😌😀😄😄😄
I didn’t know Ronnie Kray hosted this show
Wizard used to come into the pub i worked at cus he lives in the area im from nice guy likes to be left alone which is fair enough
omg I wanted Smoky Robinson and I got Smoky Bacon
That was a streak of luck !
Frank Skinner Score.
What was the song (they said it was one of Simon's) they were doing?
I believe it was Planet Earth by Duran Duran

Best one at 9:20
What was the song from 21:19 ?
FEEL IT by The Tamperer.
@@marklupont902 Nice one! I actually thought it might've been a Steps song for some reason!
@@andrewjw01 It did sound similar to Tragedy by Steps (originally the Bee Gees)
ian dury..💯 they used to get some great guests
6:26
13:51 I thought Wham! was a shit rendition of Mousse T's horny :D
how did Ian Jury not guess the first song as "you only live twice" by Nancy Sinatra. yet guessed wrong the second tune as "live and let die". he obviously wasn't a Bond Fan.
it appears that Ian Dury of the Blockheads...may have been a bit of a blockhead...
(though he was going late-stage treatments for cancer at the time, so it could have just been that)
I couldn't get that second intro for the life of me...
Nice, potato recording (VHS i guess?)
Few of these gags would have the whole show cancelled these days.
Is billie on the spectrum or something?
