One reason for a launch near dawn is that when the temperature of the land is equal to.the temperature of the sea is equal the windspeed is minimized. This also minimizes wave heights for the attempt to hover the booster, which will simplify the operation of the drones monitoring the attempt.

Awesome coverage everyone. I bet we see a de-stack Monday morning so the FTS can be put into place with a launch by Friday. That way SpaceX can get ready for a 4-20-2024 launch. It is a palindrome. The launch will go at 16:20:24 cst on 4-20-2024. Rock on SpaceX!!! Maybe, they will go for an AM launch 🤔

@@BoggyMike because we have at minimum another year and a half before we see them even developing and testing a second stage for human flight with starship and another year before nasa would qualify it for astronauts to launch in it. end of the day there's a ton of work that still needs to go into starship to support going to the moon. even with the delayed timeline of SLS it'll go to the moon and land humans on it again before starship. putting all their egg's into one basket is a bad idea and ultimately SLS hasn't even come close to the costs of apollo when you consider inflation.

Elon Musk join David Adair to build Shuttles with Nuclear Containment Power Plants and a Wagon Wheel Medical Space Station orbiting Earth. With David Adairs you could be traveling to distant Galaxies in 5 minutes or more. Three fields are built by the Nuclear Containment Engines; one to protect the power plant, one to protect the crew from 3 Forces, and one infront of the Spaceship to create a bubble that folds Space allowing you to travel millions of mph yet not break the Speed of Light. With his power plant you can start another Human Terrain Colony on a much better Water World Planet for Colonization than Mars..You can use Thorium Reactors or His Nuclear Containment Power Plant on your rocket surpassing and getting around NASA's and US Federal Gov'ts restrictions outside of their SSP.. I suggested that the two of you should work together, some years ago. David Adairs's Power Plant would take your Spaceship much much further in Space; beyond this Galaxy; due to their efficiency and much, much less fuel storage..
