  • Singapore on Friday (May 10) voted in favour of a United Nations resolution expressing support for Palestine's full membership in the international body.
The General Assembly passed the draft resolution with 143 members voting in favour, nine against and 29 abstaining.
In a ministerial statement on Friday, Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said Singapore chose to do this "after serious and careful consideration".
He said the vote was consistent with the country's support for a negotiated two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

@@malgudidays3311 Absolutely. We need to be clear that Hamas was legitimately elected by the Palestinian people to govern them, and should be the official representative of the Palestinian people. The PA has done nothing useful for Palestinians. The side-lining of UN resolution after resolution with no concrete progess is wholly due to the PA's gross ineffectiveness. The PA allowed illegal Israeli settlements to be built all over the West Bank, to the point that they have ceded almost the entire sovereign Palestinian WB territory over to Israeli control. About 2 million WB Palestinians have been forced out to live in refugee tent cities in Jordan, where some have been living for decades, with no hope of ever returning to the WB, thanks to the PA. Hamas have resisted the illegal building of Israeli settlements in Gaza all these decades, keeping their sovereign territory intact. The PA has been accused of mi susi ng aid funds from the UN and international community, meant for all Palestinians, which Gazans never recive or receive very little of. The PA also has a known track record of cooperating with Israeli authorities and policies, at the expense, detriment and unlawful imprisonment of Palestinian citizens. What can the PA do now, when it has not achieved even a single step towards Palestinian autonomy, peace and security, for over 75 years? To align with the PA and shutting off dialogue with Hamas is to condone the PA's slackness and incompetence in governing the Palestinian people.

You need to know the truth, (unlike the Singapore minister who may know the truth but has to tell a different story because of Singaporeans). PA is no different from the Hamas, basically they have only one vision and one goal: annihilated Israel. Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas vows the following:
"If we are left with one penny, we will spend it on the families of the prisoners and martyrs."
By vowing that , he is encouraging the killing of Jews and Israeli, and as many recognized this as a reward for terrorism. The Singapore minister cannot be so dumb as to not knowing this. This is the reason US is calling for a revitalized PA beside the corruption allegations against the PA. However, anyone who understands the Palestinian mindset would know what is the truth. Palestinians right from the beginning in 1948 refused to a two state solution. What they wanted was a Palestine state free of Jews, a Palestinian state to replace Israel!

When all peaceful means of gaining one’s freedom are blocked, this is what happens. The J..s did the same in G… the same occurred in Haitian Revolution, Turner Rebellion, etc. It’s regrettable, but all were predictable-and predicted at the time. Same for October 7.
75 years is a record. I reviewed the history, and cannot find a record where people were subject to such conditions for so long without major retaliation. The sad thing is that it was all preventable. If they were given their freedom, none of this would happen. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. There is no possible justification for setting dogs on children, beating them, or shackling them to metal chairs. Whatever they are accused of, regardless of guilt or innocence, these children must be treated first and foremost as children - with all the special protections this entails.
“No child should be experiencing such cruelty at the hands of those who are meant to be looking after them. Children should no longer be prosecuted in military courts - and there has never been greater urgency to release children from prison as systemic ill-treatment is compounded by the threat of COVID-19 in detention centres. Only with these changes can we prevent irrevocable damage being inflicted on generations of Palestinian children.”
Save the Children is calling for:
The Government of Israel to respect international law, and to end the detention and mistreatment of children under military law. Israeli authorities must immediately adopt practical safeguards to improve the situation for children who are currently detained. This includes ending the systemic ill-treatment of children, establishing protection and safeguards for detainees, and providing adequate services to support girls and boys to recover from their experiences.

In the beginning God created Human beings and bless them ( Genesis l - 27:28) Any person/organization calling for the complete elimination of the other party is against our Creator and is doing it at its own perils. Singapore is right by supporting 2 states' solution namely, Israel and Palestine.
To have an eternal blessing from our Lord God who is all powerful, all knowing, and present everywhere & at anytime, it is vital that we have to follow His blessing and wishes.. IN HIS NAME. AMEN 🙏🙏🙏

Because Singapore is Israel’s strongest ally in Asia. Without the help of Israel at the founding of Singapore, Singapore may not exist today. The SAF is arguably the strongest military force in ASEAN today by training and equipment. Israel was instrumental in helping establish the SAF. Singapore is majority ethnic Chinese and thus Chinese culture is very much ingrained in the Singapore psyche, in this case the Chinese proverb, remember where the source of water you are drinking comes from, comes into play. To this day, the pioneers and current leaders of Singapore have not forgotten the help of Israel at the founding of Singapore when most of the world ignored Singapore.
Publicly explaining why Singapore voted the way it did, is an act of diplomacy.
