Curing units! I remember the struggle of picking the right curing unit. Thank you Paola for making it super easy and stress-free

Hi Paola, how are you? Thank you so much for these tips. I’m on the hunt for a good lamp but I’m not a tech so I try to get the best lamp I can find. I look forward to the video on what to look for in nail lamps❤️

I had gel nails years ago, but I had to stop. The pain/burning during the curing process was more than I could tolerate. Has the curing processed advanced so there is no pain/burning around the cuticle during the curing process?

My led lamp has a setting that says low heat and I don't have that issue anymore. Man that burn hurt. I have no idea what one I have. Just look for led and low heat settings.

You’re putting the hand under the lamp too quickly that causes the painful pinching on the nails! also happens when you apply it too thick

This is great information! These lamps are just so expensive 🥲 I’ve been using an affordable lamp with my kokoist products for now, but maybe one day I’ll be able to buy a better one

I use modelones for everything just about

That’s exactly why I came here! I use modelones gel polish and no matter how long I cure it, the polish is still flexible when I press on with my nail. I avoided making the above mistakes, so do you know what it might be from?

@@lastochka100i’ve had the same issue before, i would say making sure the layer underneath is prepped with a thin layer each time but i was doing exactly that lol, not sure if you’ve also had it peel like a layer in a rubbery way? it’s hard to explain it’s weird but sometimes modelones has played up with me too

      Hi 👋 Naomi.
It is Kokoist’s Le Blanc Curing Unit.
      kokoistusa.com/products/le-blanc-led-cordless
Just remember that technically we cannot categorize a unit as universal for all gels.
Narrow your brands down to two. Know them or certify in them and purchase the curing unit of your preferred brand.

I’m not an expert but I have slowly learn how to do my own gel nails. I came from not good to be pretty good for not being a professional, now I need to learn which curing light I should go for? Again am not an expert so my is already 3 years old and I would like to know which one is a good one mind you I don’t work on a salon so Yes mine was from amazon and I look very thorough but still am not a pro but I want to know what should I be looking for ???

The environmental impact of nails is really starting to gnaw at my conscience as a trainee tech - the and toxic chemical heavy insustry is already obviously not fab, but added to this the fact that even more recent LED lamps - designed POST climate crisis awareness - are made in such a way that the whole unit goes under the earth in less than 5 years....its infuriating. Governments should be legilating to prevent companies and manufacturers from deliberately designing disposable white goods.
Hoping to see less harm full formulas, biodegradable tips & forms and safe polymer break down solutions, plus LED lamps that can have new bulbs added.
If anyone knows of Amy work being done in this field I would love to hear about it... are there any eco salons ?

All cheap kits come w 6-10watt lamp remember a light lamp can’t penetrate well in gels and takes longer to cure I went for the 24 and 36watt k believe good I see higher
