I went through my egg retrieval without sedation as well and it was the most horrible pain I have EVER been in. I cried so much during the retrieval because of the excruciating pain I was in. Luckily I got pregnant after the fresh embryo transfer (we have 3 in the freezer). So thankful. I am 5 weeks and 4 days today

I was in shock when Caitlin was describing that pain. I literally cannot imagine the agony that must have been. We are all so so so so so so so proud of you, Caitlin, and Leah too for being there and supporting her fiancée through that awful procedure.
Iâve had spine procedures without sedation and Iâm so sorry đđ theyâre different but it takes a strong person to get through something like that. Iâm super proud of you Caitlin and Leah youâre an amazing partner. Iâve had 16 surgeries and had surgery last month and it makes all the difference if you have someone as supportive as you are. Sending so much love â€ïž (I saw the updates from Tiktok & so happy for you guys after going through this)

I disagree, although some have a high pain threshold 'research has shown that people with red hair perceive pain differently than others. They may be more sensitive to certain types of pain and can require higher doses of some pain-killing medications' so Caitlin is a freaking warrior for going through the collection without sedation.

I did my egg retrieval this past summer. I truly cannot imagine doing it awake and feeling that pain. I would've had a panic attack...you are an incredibly strong woman.

Iâve just gone through the egg retrieval operation as an egg donor and I have no idea how you did it without sedation! I slept through it luckily but woke up in the worst pain! Honestly take my hat off to you for going through that!! Wishing you both all the luck in the world! đ

I am in the process of egg retrieval and now I am EXTREMELY curious as to why they would say you couldn't be under sedation? Was it a financial issue? A health issue? Or an issue with the clinic themselves? I am extremely nervous now
I really want to know aswell as it scares me that they could say that to anyone without warning after him through so much xx
