    I am so excited for this series! SO much detail that I'm so happy you shared with us. I also suffer from hormonal acne and had NO idea about peanut butter. Can I just say your makeup is gorgeous?! I'm sure it's super simple but I would love to see a tutorial. I would love to see a video on foods and cycle phases. I also definitely need that book!     I am soooo happy I came across this video!! I have been suffering from hormonal acne and I’ve been wanting to tackle it from the inside out but I was really intimidated.     WOW i think this just made me realise how i started developing my acne too! I never had a problem with my skin until after school and all i could pinpoint was my diet because i'd been vegan for maybe 1.5 years at this time. I did the exact same as you and got really into the HCLF diet which honestly wasn't good mentally because i was so afraid of fats, didnt use any cooking oils like not even a drizzle of olive oil and just didn't eat any fats and just carbs. THANK U for sharing that part of the journey - i stopped eating HCLF years ago now but still dealing with skin issues since then so thank you for your videos sharing your journey

    yes yes yes!! i am LIVING for this content. after getting hormonal acne and losing my period for nearly a year, I have learned so much about eating for hormones, and hormones in general. I think it's awesome that you're creating awareness of this topic, and I wish everyone knew how important our hormones are and how important it is to eat in a way that supports them! once i started to do just that, my skin has cleared up significantly. can't wait for the next video in this series.

    I‘m so glad I found this video because I’m experiencing the exact same things you were going through . I‘m on a plant based diet too and feel like I can’t get to t root of the problem . I can’t wait for the next videos . My skin is making me so unhappy right now and slowly starts dominating my life

    I 100% agree with cutting out dairy for clearer skin. I reduced it from diet slowly and about a year later my skin cleared up so much. (If you completely cut it off and your strict, obviously your results will come a lot faster) I also got cystic acne out of nowhere! And I had clear skin in highschool, although I treated it so bad (sleeping in my makeup, no skincare routine, ate like absolute crap!) Not only did my skin clear up but I had lost 70lbs in the first 2 years of eliminating it from diet. No excercise (going to the gym/workout) I did have more energy and walked a lot more, played more sports and doing some hikes here and there. I was 250lbs and now I'm at 180! So I reccomend eliminating it for a month and see what happens!

    this is reallyy insightful!!! thank you sooooo much! One thing I'm going to do (starting out slowly) is cutting out dairy the week before / during my period time, and going to eat proper whole foods + cutting out the oils you mentioned, and see where that goes!! thank you thank you for this video!

    Girl!! I love the period repair manual too!!! I dont have the newest edition (the pink cover) but I've been thinking of buying it for a while now for the extra additions. Another book you might like that is along the same kind of read is In the Flo or woman code by Alisa Vitti. She has a period tracking app that I love too called myflo. I love all the the cool information we have available about our bodies! I really feel empowered knowing what my body is doing through out my cycle

    Lovely video, thanks for sharing! I miss eating well and feeling well! Its so hard when money is tight. Even on a budget you can still eat a balanced healthy diet. I really feel more motivated to return to my previous way of eating. Really loving your skin series so far

    I just found your channel and it really helped me! 🥰 When you said what you eat can affect your skin even 4 months after hit me real hard. I’ve been avoiding dairy for years now, but on July-August I got sick and my parents decided to give me milk every single day. A month after that my acne came back really bad and I was so confused what caused it. Now that u mentioned it I’m 99% sure it was caused by all the dairy I consumed in a whole month! Thankyou so much ❤️❤️❤️

    I loved watching this video, as I liked others also I have just discovered today. Y try to change my diet by cutting all of what you mentioned and by focusing on plant based diet. For getting rid of my hormonal acne.... at 46 years old. And also for health issues because I suffer from fibromyalgia at very high level and also suffering from various illness with my heart.     Yes! I've quit birth controll pills for almost 2 months and was so terrified of getting back the acne, then it happened...I started having horrible break outs, very inflamed, very deep and weird, not the usual hormonal acne I had before. It was the peanut butter xD damn, is so hard to balance everything, but now I'm doing intermittent fasting and breaking it with a detox juice, my skin is getting a lot better now.

    i am doing keto now for weightloss but people have said that it is good for acne but it has gotten worse since i have eaten more cheese since i LOVE cheese but gonna try dairy free keto for my acne

    I’ve been having painful under the skin bumps :( I was put on yaz but I feel like my skin is getting worse and it’s only been 2 weeks. Ughhhhh :(((

      L it gets worse in the first 3 months of using the birth control pills but afterwards you will realize your skin is becoming clear

      @L Always listen to your body, If you skin is getting worse, its telling you that your body doesn't like it. Its filled with toxins. You could try natural birth control. Also, work with a nutritionist or a dietician on your diet plan for acne. YOu could get the book she is talking about above. Or just cut down sugar, soy and dairy. that usually helps alot.

    I gave up dairy in college too and it helped my skin more than anything else I tried. I need to stop eating parmesan bc that is the one cheese I still eat!!

      Try ground walnuts/cashews mixed with nutritional yeast and salt it's SO GOOD. However, it doesn't taste like parmesan which I also am struggling to give up, but it's an alternative that's just as delicious

    I can’t eat any dairy, no milk, no butter or eggs nothing. I tried eating a brownie the other the day and my stomach start to hurt right away.

    PSA to people who find sourdough so much better than regular bread, the yeast may be the issue! It’s actually a common allergy

    So if it takes skin “4 months” to show signs of breakouts then why did your skin look so good on the two week diet you did from Kate Flowers? Wouldn’t you be seeing those results further down the line? I think people need clarification because those are two conflicting statements.

    Well probably very low fat if you wanna lose weight is fine but we need oils although not amounts many recommends. Many ppl cured acne with starch solution and regulated hormones this way by lowering oils. Plantiful Kiki when only goes above I believe 10/15% of oils gets breakouts. All in balance right? Personally I believe unhealthy oils are worse than sugars xx

    keep a food journal of what you are eating
    no sunflower oil
    no process food-packaged,sodium,oil
    no sugar -starchy carbs is bad for you
    no dairy
    no peanuts
    no gluten
    no inflammatory food
    dark chocolate
    so avoid foods your intolerant to
    no soya
    no peanuts oil
    no pork for me at least
