Thankfully the owners son, heartbroken as he was, knew that these two lion cubs deserved better, and as much as it tore him up, he let them be taken to a better situation. You can see how hard it is for him to let them go...that showed me more than anything else, that he really did love them very much and wanted the best for them.
Yes, a shame he will never get to see them again.
@@SIXITHS that makes no sense
He shouldn't even be allowed an opinion on the matter. In a civilized country like Russia it's just straight up illegal, end of story. People need a special license to take care of these animals, not because they are a threat to owner, no one cares, but OTHERS too. How often do you think dog owners have their dog bite someone unintentionally? DAILY.
That part teared me up
@Chris - You're being far too kind to these animal torturers and.. absurdly naive. The Father is criminally insane and the kid is old enough to know better. Given another few months the cubs would have killed their whole family and the neighbours. Then got loose and caused mayhem. Lions are native to the middle east and Africa so the local people are fully aware of their needs and danger. No doubt the neighbours had been screaming at these idiots for weeks/months to free the cubs and tipped off the rescue organisation
Exotic animals are not pets. People are harming animals by keeping them as pets. Itâs also contributing to the extinction of these animals.đ
Exactly đŻ If you want a lion in your living room, get a housecat.
Sadly you canât tell fools like this anything.
-casually hides all the ferret searches cause I want a pet ferret-
They can be if one has: the appropriate enclosure, the knowledge, the mental stimulation, and the money for such an animal. Their habitats are constantly being encroached by people and their habitat is shrinking or did you not get the memo? I've seen people take wonderful care of such animals just like dogs and just like cats their is in fact a wrong way and a right way. These people were doing it the wrong way.
Oh and I'm a firm believer a person can have any animal some just have more risks than others. People have black throat monitors along with crocodile monitors it's no problem as long as they are cared for same goes for Servals. Exotic animals CAN be pets there is a whole trade around it from ferrets to sugar gliders...hell I've seen wallabies for sell in certain states. Zoos aren't the only ones who can provide a wonderful environment. Oh and fun fact most of the big cat population is in fact in captivity because their habitats in the wild are shrinking.
@@houndgirl7365 you are severely wrong about everything
Evidently, the owner hadnât a clue as to what to do as the lions grew. You guys saved a pair of magnificent animals who will always have each other. 4 gold stars đđđđ
And quite possibly the humans were saved.. loved this story!!
@@catherinedehner4033 yet the humans will be shelled and shot at when ever the kenesit is up for election
why only 4?
@@catherinedehner4033 definitely. if they were not aware that the cubs were under weight and being restricted, then they are likely unaware of behavioral patterns that now mimic play but will later make them prey.
@@canoistercat I think he means that you normally get 1 gold star for doing something good, not 4/5 but 4/1
That instant when the 2 lions hug each other when they sleep is MAGNIFICENT
I wonder if they still sleep that wayâïž
@@dianetheisen8664 ayo?
I'd agree. So cute.
So beautiful
The fact that somebody from the public can just buy these animals somewhere is just like, WTF is wrong with this world?! I really hope that dad doesn't go and buy another animal that's not supposed to be a pet. I live in South Africa, so this is really close to my heart. Thank you to ALL involved in saving these beautiful animals.
What about cat, dogs, chicken, etc?
They were wild before, weren't they?
They took wolf, domesticated them to become the dogs we have the dogs we have now.
What's the difference? Please tell me, I'm curious.
But don't get me wrong, I do not agree with having endangered wild and dangerous animals as pets, but I'm making my points that the pet you love now came from the wild.
Unfortunately some humans for money will sell their own mother
@@SERGIO-cr6uy You compare a lion to a chicken, dog or cat? What drugs are you on.
@@sallyrickerson9139 are you stupid? Can't you read?
@@SERGIO-cr6uy cats, dogs and chickens have had 5000 years of human intervention. We cannot just dump them. That would be an ecological disaster. You cannot compare them to lions which are not even domesticated.
The cubs are absolutely adorable. Thank goodness they were able to be rescued when they did.
Did they need rescuing? Not saying they didn't but I don't see anything that shows they needed to be removed from their owners. Unless I'm missing something.
@@LoneCloudHopper i think they rescued the owners/neighbours insteadđ
@@LoneCloudHopper they are LIONS. Once they grow up and even as young teens they would have attacked anyone. They were already dangerous. So yes they were rescued. Did you not watch the video??? Also theyâre in a tiny cage, cmon. Itâs weird you see this and think theyâre perfectly fine and in good care. Thatâs pathetic.
@@LoneCloudHopper They were already underfed. Feeding lions is unbelievably expensive and they can't be kept in a small cage or room.
@@winterowl2714 So the owners agreed to it? "Rescue" implies they were taken against their consent. I didn't find this video very informative.
I appreciate the owner and his son releasing them. Eventually, they will be too much for them to handle. Also, a big thank you to the team who went a great length to see the adorable lions get a good home
I am sure that the owner didnt surrender them for free, but in that case its the result that counts.
@@Daniel-rd6st In the video, the Doctor literally said the owner surrendered them for free.
@@justcrap3703 Yes i know and i dont believe that. People dont just "donate" their pets, that they have paid quite a bit of money for. He probably said that so that the owner would agree to the exchange in the first place. If he had made the owner look bad, future animal rescues would just get more diffcult.
@@Daniel-rd6st True. You are right đ
@@Daniel-rd6st > If he had made the owner look bad
They already did. By exposing they're in bad condition, keep them in a small cage and feeding them low quality cheap food and underweight. They surrendered them for free. No way they bought it as you claimed "quite a bit of money" when they can't even afford proper food. Did you even see their house? You think they have quite a bit of money? If the doctor was straightforward enough to expose them for feeding the lions cheap low quality food, I don't see any reason not to believe him when he said they gave it away for free after some convincing.
You saved not only the animals, but that entire family of a possible tragedy. Well done!
Hello Lana how are you doing today
That's a really great point. The adults would not have been able to handle the cubs much longer, never mind the children.
Thank you for saving them. They would have become too big to keep in the house soon, and too hard to control.

Hello Kathy how are you doing today
I hope the original family gets to visit with Mona and Max in the future. The cubs were clearly bonded to them, and it seems to me that the family loved the lions too. Kudos to them for giving the cubs up so they could have better living conditions.
The owner an absolute moron with no plan for them to become full grown lions. Just waiting for them to bite someone and have to be put down.
Yeah right, as if the zionists would let them out of Gaza.
I get chills looking at them, and listening to that deep call at the end (as an adult). Theyâre so beautiful, powerful, magnificent, stunningly strong, wild, exotic apex predators and the very definition of majestic. Iâm in awe of them, and I choose to appropriately respect them from a distance in the wild, where they belong. â€đŸđđ
I am a Leo so obviously my spirit animal is a lion! I loved your comment!
I love how they were cuddled up together! So glad they have a better life now. đ
Hello Merlin how are you doing today
Itâs clear to see they were loved. Sometimes, like in this case, loving something from a distance is best for everyone. May Max and Mona live long, happy, and healthy lives
i get why people want exotic pets, but most of them donât understand, that these pets need more than food and love. i am proud of the owners son who clearly loved them and loved them enough to let them have a better life elsewhere.
Hello Lvan how are you doing today
they didnât give them food and love. They were malnourished, underweight, in need of urgent treatment and severely abused by being locked in a cage and harassed by children handling them inappropriately and forcing touch on them like they were toys for their entertainment. There is nothing to be proud of for the owner's son who participated in their abuse and created this repugnant exploitation in the first place. And they're not pets. They are smuggled wild animals abused for profit. Your empathy is sorely misdirected.
It was beyond heartbreaking cats like that are not pets they're wild animals and when that turned horribly wrong and they killed someone the Lions would have been put to death because people are stupid I am so glad they're rescued and that they're doing good everybody involved is awesome thank you for saving such beautiful animals and they're living their best lives so sorry that it's such a rough start but I'm so happy they were saved
You are so rightâïž
Shouldnt be in a zoo either. When we put humans in cages we do it as a punishment. Its called prison.
Oh Goodness. It brought me to tears to see them in that cage in the home. Those 'owners' proved that did have love for them by releasing them. And how beautiful they look now. đ
BLESS the concerned citizens that reached out to Four Paws International đŸđđâ€ïž
I'm honestly glad the previous owners were willing to give the cubs up. It feels very rare for someone to just willingly give up what, to them, feels like a pet, but they understood that this was not going to end well for them or the cubs. So while initially misguided, I do have to give some props to the previous owners for doing what's best for the cubs, circumstances notwithstanding. Here's hoping they don't make the same mistake twice!
At least they did the right thing and handed the lions over because they knew they could not look after them properly
Thank you so much for sharing our story of Max & Mona!
Thank you!
thanks for the work you do
Thank you for everything you do for the animals! đ

Steal animals from their families?
What is they cane fir all of the animals we call pets?
Cats n dogs n many pets were all wild. You says what can be wild and what canât?
There was no abuse n they were very healthy.
Do people believe everything they hear?
@@joyceobeys6818 They were underfed even as cubs and in tiny cages. As the they grew bigger and more dangerous, they wouldn't be able to be let out of the cage and might have to be put down. Now they have green grass and good food. It is selfishness and stupidity to think anyone deserves to own any animal they want, even if the animal is miserable and sick
@@joyceobeys6818 these lion cubs were not with family! What are you talking about? They are wild animals! Not pets. You can't compare them with domesticated pets. Plus they were malnourished and underfed for growing lions. Also what do you think would have happened to them if they attacked someone? Because that was inevitable as they are Apex predators, and when they get hungry...they kill to eat.
Another great heartwarming story with an amazing happy ending. People don't get it that animals like this do not belong in your house. These are not cute little domestic kitties or puppies they belong in the wild to hunt and do things that they were born to do not play and rip up pillows in your living room. And thank you to all these people that got these beautiful animals to be out in the wild where they belong. â€ïž
Thank you to all the people, organizations & COUNTRIES !! involved in the rescue of these amazing animals.
"Animals can create peace." This line really made me emotional. I'm so glad Mona and Max can be properly cared for now. It baffles me why a family would think it's safe and appropriate to have two lions in their house
Im supposed to believe Israel is going to stop murdering Palestinian children?
@@NoOne-yq7oc lol who said that? Itâs because there was momentary cooperation between both sides to help the animals. Thatâs all. No one said the animals were going to stop conflict.
