- Showcasing the all new ultra realistic "Unrecord" mod for Cyberpunk 2077, inspired heavily by the Unreal Engine 5 game: Unrecord. Graphics made possible with DLSS 3.5, ReShade and AITrack. Game is running on RTX 4090.
This showcase focuses on combat and stealth across Night City.

Night doesn't look _that_ photorealistic, but during day it's mindboggling, the first few seconds I legitimately had my doubts whether this was actually gameplay footage or video recording.
The reason night doesn't look photorealistic is because most bodycams in real life don't function *that* well in low light whereas it's near perfect here. If they tone down the "recording quality" at night, it could look much better.
It's because they scoped during nighttime. The photo-realism is just a trick that the viewpoint offers. So scoping in would remove the realism. Thankfully Cyberpunk has insane enough graphics to compensate.
Isn't that unusual. Most realism mods only look good with a lot of rain at night.
I know the game where this mod comes from and in the first seconds I was 100% convinced that it's just game footage from Unrecord.

@@Fizzure3000 this is stupid to even say tbh, art direction, time, money and the fact they have to make things run on a wide range of hardware all factor into all. Of course some random who has all the time in the world and no set time can improve upon things... especially when they just crank shit up and make it so only the highest end can run it
Shut the fuck up, there are hundreds of examples of modders who make mods that make games look x10 better without it making a big impact on performance of the pc, just look at the latest mods they made for Cyberpunk, or other games at that.

In this game it kind of makes sense though as you do kind of have a chip in your head and optics installed in one of the first missions, would still play this tho lol
Little changes like removing the HUD and making the camera movement more natural really elevates the immersion. I have been wanting this is more games, but it often met with resistance.
The camera lens effect makes me imagine a Cyberpunk game set a few decades earlier where we play as a early Maxtac or something

Looks fresh, I saw something similar in Anomaly, but never seen anything like this in СP and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who liked the idea with this camera. Who knows, maybe someone is already trying to combine AR with games in this style, so NPCs could be correctly projected on real terrain around a person by AI , that would be amazing to see.

You can grab the reshade from RON nexusmods and use it in a plethora of games. Got it setup for ARMA 3 and that shit went crazy.

It's the photo part of photorealistic. Emulating a physical medium is what makes it convincing, not ultra definition.

First time I seen one of these Unrecord filter recreations and it actually looks good without the risk of motion sickness, nice one.
The only thing I don't like about this style are the black corners on the screen, but other than that this is pretty cool👍🏾

I got 90+ hrs in Luke Ross’ Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod. It’s awesome. Have to tinker a lot to get it optimized and sniping is not worth it since you aim where you point your head, but other than that, game changer 😎

Love the graphics here, must be a whole different experience playing it at this level. I did feel some type of way after seeing a reload after every shot haha, only because I'm stuck on having to empty every mag in Helldivers rn.

Use the experimental ragdolls next time. It works amazing with stealth kills. Only glitches out sometimes.

it's his hard work and only access trough his patreon. The vignetee is very easy to remove untag vignette by pressing home in settings.

The funny thing is that most AAA games would look more realistic if the camera had a subtle spherical lens distortion to it, but not to the fisheye extreme.

Red Engine really is truly next gen. A shame they're abandoning it because it can do a lot of things seamlessly and with much better performance optimisation than Unreal for the setting that Cyberpunk 2077 is set in. The mods have truly taken it to the next level with a lot of lossless performance, which is quite impressive. This Unrecord mod + realistic graphics mod puts Cyberpunk 2077 in a league of its own, really makes GTA 6 already look last gen by comparison.
Yeah sounds like a knee jerk reaction to the launch issues imo. The engine got the blame.

But this will come back to bite them hard, since Red Engine in its current format can do a lot of things really well that the Unreal Engine 5 is just not optimised to do in the same way, which is precisely why there are no large-scale open-world games running on UE5 that look anywhere near as good as Cyberpunk 2077. I think people will be in for a rude awakening, especially since the Chaos physics engine will need a complete overhaul to run properly with a game as big as Cyberpunk, but I tend to doubt that CDPR will spend the R&D (or lengthy time) to do so.
@@Billy-bc8pkRedengine is a broken mess it’s basically an old Baldur’s gate 2 BioWare engine which can run at horse speed at its core, what CDPR achieved with Cyberpunk is phenomenal but it’s also a struggle for devs to work on it, the more they work the more things get broken and they have to spend years to fix that.
Unreal is unoptimized yes but it’s upto the developers to optimize it fortunately CDPR is porting their entire asset base with Unreal so that will help a lot.
@@MashyAhmedAssets aren't the problem, threading is, and to this day there isn't one UE4/5 game that runs well on any processor. It makes sense because it's a general purpose engine, and -- as you mentioned -- it's up to devs to optimise the engine for their special use cases.
Despite the Red Engine's drawbacks during the initial Cyberpunk release, you can see now after years of optimisation it runs better than any UE5 game on any platform, and there isn't one UE5 game remotely as big as Cyberpunk 2077. That's the problem.
The time it will take them to refactor the entire threading processes and rendering optimisations of the UE5 is the same amount of time they could have been able to finish Cyberpunk 2077's sequel. Alternatively, they will bypass refactoring (which is the more likely scenario) and we'll get a game that looks good enough, but will have a lot of hiccups, stuttering, and performance issues galore in certain segments; not to mention they will have to drastically reduce the playscape of Night City to avoid some of the frequent crashes UE4/5 runtimes encounter when maps + entities are too large for the cache.
@@Billy-bc8pk what you say is absolutely true the fact that Cyberpunk runs smoothly on a 10 year old 4th gen cpu like i7 4790 without any hiccups is insane, CDPR took aurora engine and turned it around they have extremely talented developers and they know what they’re doing but Redengine has way more issues than unreal has that’s why they decided to move from their engine and use unreal 5 as a base they just don’t want another 10 year old dev time just for one game, all much as it’s worrying it’s also exciting what unreal can bring when used by a major studio we just have to wait and see for ourselves when Witcher remake or Witcher 4 drops.

Looking pretty nice but on a rain some things way to glowing when they shouldn't, for example the wet mattress on 1:32 , also everything i way too clean compering to rl , if you was able to add much more dust and dirt on the floor and specifically the walls in the first floor ( as this areas get dirty much easier because of all the people and thing around ) it could make it looks much more realistic.
But have to admit that its still pretty impressive how few new filters and the new video cards technology make the graphics jump on a completely new level
