I think Khalid was killed by People Aman Committee of Lyari goons led by Rehman Daket. The Aman Committee used to have strong ties with PPP as its thunder squad like other political parties used to keep. Its my personal opinion.

Pervez Musharraf is complacent in the sense that he failed to get a handle on the characters in his government. Rehman Malik has a huge question mark on his role in the whole episode and he has gone scot free. It is also pertinent to examine who gained the most. The cleaning of the crime scene is the most obscene destruction of evidence in recent times.

Rehman malik and then mastermind is Zardari. Rehman malik always interrupted the interrogation and avoided pakistani police officers of the investigation to meet scotland yard and Un comission members. In their 5 years term they could not complete the investigation, which shows they did not want to apprehend the culprits as they themselves were.

Tbh her husband has more influence over her politics and I doubt things were going to chance had she been alive. Infact PPP was losing election before the assassination with PMLN at lead.
