- After two months in the North Island I head into the south Island back country stalking on a "training" mission to get my legs up to shape and ensure I'd be pack fit for a huge adventure coming up.
New Zealand is world renowned for stunning scenery and epic sight fishing and this adventure doesn't disappoint. It's late in the season so conditions for fly fishing are challenging in the gin clear river but finding feeding fish delivers some stunning eats and an incredible adventure.

@badger9156 not a good sign, 1080 is obviously pretty indiscriminate it what it kills. I imagine the birds/fish are effected too.
