Glass Beach Kauai. Yeah, a beach made of glass! We also find an endangered Hawaiian Monk seal on the beach and invasive rose ringed parakeets at swinging bridge.
I hate taking pictures with large crowds around 😆 i get shy but i happened to find this beach roaming around. It was perfect as no one was there and i was able to take my beachy instagram pictures
Hey alright! No need to ask directions, google maps will take you right to it. It's in Port Allen behind the industrial area. Hopefully the road in and out of Hanalei is opened up fully by the time you get here. Right now it's only open occasionally because of the mudslide 3 months ago.
Yeah, you can go back. They have a schedule for when they let traffic through each way and it's different from weekends to week days. It's also a short window and the line gets over a mile long so it's common to miss an opening and having to wait well over an hour until the next opening.
Yes, there's a handmade sign nailed to a tree reading "don't steal the glass". But given the history of the area it's technically rubbish so, yeah, it's no ones property.
@@rickthibodeau9172 I meant to mention that I don't think it's illegal, but I also wouldn't want to be seen doing it by a hardcore local. Some of them can be pretty aggressive.

great videos enjoyed watching
Hey thanks for that ! I really appreciate it.
Interesting video, I enjoyed it🙂
Thanks.
Eventually the glass will be gone some day due to the erosive forces of the waves and people taking them.
I like plastic beach
Nice, thanks. Going in Sept., Ill be sure to ask how to get there. Staying in Hanalei.

@@RealAdventureTheory I have been watching the progress.
So when you cross the bridge, are you allowed to go back? Looks oneway?

@@RealAdventureTheory Wow! Thanks for the heads up!
Can you legally collect the glass?

Are you aloud to take glass off glass beach and take back to the mainland?
There's a handmade sign that says not to but I don't think it's actually illegal.
@@RealAdventureTheory thank you
