As a buyer, I look for functional wall space. Notice how many windows are in the great room. The windows are very tall and a console or cabinet wouldn’t look appealing at all. Another possible problem are the cabinets placed next to the tv area. Are these built by the developer who used the window space as a ledge to create the illusion of space to store media accessories and possible bench space? Or, are the cabinets placed against a real low wall? Be aware of how much functional wall space is actually available for cabinets, consoles, wall art when there are so many windows built into a home. It’s pretty, but not functional. My home features a built in buffet cabinet, which looks great, but the cabinets underneath don’t feature drawers to house utensils and the cabinet span won’t allow big platers or plates to be housed there. Check the width of all cabinets. The model may look beautiful, but can you store all your stuff?

I totally understand your point. Those cabinets next to the TV seem to be more eye candy than anything else. You would probably be able to get taller cabinets for more functional storage space here. I'll add that the fireplace is an option so if you'd prefer to have a flat wall to have more freedom to arrange your TV/cabinet that is a possibility! I personally love all of the windows but for someone like yourself, that definitely would present an issue. Thanks for watching.
