The energy, the poise, that haircut and the way it was styled, that was all that changed. Perhaps he felt uncomfortable whenever he realised people were attracted to him, something he's very likely to realise considering his empathy, and tried to cover it up with scruffiness in Season 1? Nevertheless, I think he was always aware of how incredibly attractive he was, he just used it to his advantage with who he became in Season 2 & 3 ❤️
I love how Will simultaneously got sassier and more fashionable the longer he knew Hannibal. Not only did Hannibal’s murderous tendencies rub off onto Will, he also made him more fruity 💅🏻
I really like how as the show continues he finds his own elegance. He still takes some of lecter attributes but still finds his own thing, Notice how he never wears ties and silky three piece suits fabrics, but rather rough fabrics with muted colors and badass coats with floppy collars.
