    Summary:
Q: What is meditation and how is it related to creativity?
    What is desire?
Q: If I give complete attention to sensation, will I burn out desire?
Q: What happens to one’s self-image if one changes the society?
Q: How can we help watchfulness to be strong enough to see?
What is concentration? What is attention?
Q: If you were a director of the laboratory with responsibility for the defence of the country, how would you direct the activities of the laboratories and research?
Note: an unknown amount of footage is missing in the original recording, starting at 1h 2m.

This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

What makes this person so remarkable is his insights to human emotions and the way he detached himself from his teaching. The emphasis lies with conveying his understanding to his readers, not in glorifying himself or making a name for himself. What used to vex me, after reading his book, slowly dissolved away. When you understand yourself, that understanding has a momentum of its own. I feel that he is that anonymous person who always lend a helping hand and disappears when you want to repay him for his kindness.

He never even existed in the first place, he said it himself. its really quite fascinating but true that he was just a speaker with words of truth.
He once said the speaker doesnt exist in one of his talks,as you go deeper you may understand for yourself why. very interesting my friend

that will again become indoctrination. internet solved the problem of knowledge gate keeping for once and all. its upto the individual to change his life and eventually the world. any way the world moves hereafter is inevitable & trying to change its course comes from a misunderstanding of what's happening.

Oh to have been a part of any of these discussions in 1985! I wonder what the individuals who attended FEEL about this amazing interaction today , and what effect , if any , this had on their life. So much LOVE for this gentle being and his message. I long to be a part of what J K understood . All Love to the being's who do this work and maintain the legacy.

@Sherri Alexander Don't long for anything, don't bring time into understanding. Stick an axis through yourself and rotate about it, for what is time but the rotation of the Earth about it's own axis. And this, it completes a revolution. Earth is not conscious of the time she takes to go around the sun. Only on the act of rotation.

@@salujathustra9905 I'm not so sure. I was listening to K last night discussing with scientists and his words DIRECTLY ended all thought within me. It may not last, but it was complete silence of the mind. I have had it many times, as I'm sure many of us have, but for 99% we CANNOT maintain it. K was a freak (he admits this himself by saying he was never part of the field).

Fantastic to see scientists welcoming Krishnamurti into their domain. This is such a confirmation of one of the steps in my spiritual practice called "Steps to Knowledge". Step 9 "In stillness all things can be known" STILLNESS OF MIND ALLOWS A GREATER MIND TO EMERGE and to reveal its Wisdom. Those who cultivate stillness with a desire for Knowledge will be preparing themselves for greater revelation and true insight to emerge. The insight may emerge during practice or during any normal activity. The important aspect here is that the preparation has been made.

People comment so often on their own gratitude when they talk about Christ and his cross. They call him the son of God. Not once have I seen the comment to express the compassion towards the man, who despite the fact that he was never heard while alive, never lost neither the passion, nor the courage to speak to those covering their ears.

Even those scientists who are well behaved, with prefrontal cortical activity, somewhat worldly informed, less judgmental etc. They too as the wider public feel like it's sacrilegious for anyone to speak critically about the Christian religion or any religion I could sense the shock in the audience about his critique of religion. As if one is not allowed to touch that subject at all. Even my atheist agnostic parents have always been in that religion fearing mind state never questioning what they had been drilled with their whole lives. Friedrich Nietzsche was a Buddha lover btw and he also said we have to dissolve that entire idea of self and our whole storyline and come out from under all of that baggage as a new person and tabula rasa.

My interpretation of what is being said, particularly in the first half, is that to 'try' is a self-deception or illusion. 'Change' is not an act. To change oneself is not a matter of 'doing' anything, instead, it is a matter of understanding and awareness, which brings about a movement.

Violence, so it seems, is an effect of brain attacking, escaping brain activity, which is the momentary content of/as mind. This violence takes place not just as mental activity but, as can be seen, in the world. Silent brain activity living out a moment been or possibly to be as mental argument or open argument or physical destruction is violence. Meditation is to see, sense this brain activity, which is still brain activity. The affect of this brain effects subjective sensation as an illusory agent, person, entity existing inside brain/body.
