Love it just finally figured out where I was going wrong on the hill seeing how you steered in very similar to me just timing and gear different carrying up to 5k more speed in one sector the rest I nailed out running most top 100 ghost in first 3 sectors

I’m with you, 7:37 are well out of my range and I just don’t have the time to grind it. As it’s a long circuit with lots of corners you only need to pick up a couple of tenths or so in each sector and you should find a few seconds. Have a look at your replays in detail and just see if there are any corners you can improve. I forgot about a few I messed up originally before I looked at the replay, fixed those and found time. Congrats on your first pole man 🎉 There’s nothing wrong with using the assists at the start. Getting quicker is all about just practicing the correct things and repeating these good actions perfectly so they become automatic. Like any skill really. My channel exists because I want to help and entertain people so hopefully you will get some value from the channel over the coming months and years 👍🏼

You are a great driver no doubt .. the first thing I notice is I’m trying to stay on the track with all wheels and apparently that’s not the case with this ..kinda sad compared to watching real cars race this circuit..but I guess you can simulate so much .

It’s still not easy to get right but if it’s there then might as well use it. Some of the really fast guys on GT7 abuse these limits even more ! Do this in real life though and you wouldn’t make it 1 lap 😂
That’s a great question. I realised that I wasn’t getting quite enough rotation on the way in so I dropped it to 3rd to use the engine braking to give me a bit more rotation (which in an FF cars works well at low revs). Hope this helps mate 👍🏼
Still 9 seconds from the certificate time, I think I will just settle for a sub-7:50 if I don't improve after crossing that threshold. After all, I can only do this on AT but I still hope your braking points would be helpful - there're 3-4 of them different than the ones I use.
Still plenty of time on this one and there’s no gear tomfoolery on this one either. It’s quite straight away. Braking points can be subjective and feel free to use mine but we all brake in a different way so some braking points might not be best for others. Good luck with it mate 👍🏼

I think I can do a 7:48 but the certificate time still seem a bit far reaching. Just for impression, I am about 1.5 second behind you by the 3rd sector. So that basically means I need to cut another half second in each of the remaining sector (except for the long straight where there's no time to cut in itself)
@@stormmeansnowork you’re not too far off then mate. I found that you really have to test the limits of the braking in this car. Too quick into the corners and you slide and scrub off the speed. Not enough speed into the corners and it’s just too slow. Try a couple of laps going over the limit on corner entry speed so you can get the feel of where the limit is then you can dial it back just a touch. Also, make sure you apply the throttle quickly once you have the car pointed where you want it. Good luck mate 👍🏼
@@PM10Racing I think this car's braking, as in many others, can be a bit different at high speed and low speed, and it is harder to practice the corners in the last 1/4 of the track. Here are the few corners I can think of to improve: 1. First corner of sector 2 (still couldn't find a good marker due to the elevation and lighting) 2. Last corner of sector 4 (I use the same marker but need to brake earlier as I cannot engine brake, but there's no obvious marker) 3. Last corner of sector 5 (consistency issue, haven't accurately figured out how much braking is needed and how soon I can re-accelerate) 4. Carousel and the corner just before it (entrance speed and timing) 5. First corner of sector 8 (perfection issue. I somewhat found a braking point but haven't figured out a good line in general, not just for this car) 6. The majority of sector 9, especially how I should approach the corner right after the mini carousel. Actually this is the first time that I systematically list out the weak points to deal with and it seems I can squeeze 1.5 to 2 seconds just from working these all out... Btw advices on these particular ones are welcomed
If you mean the kerbs then I agree mate. What’s the point of calling your game the real driving simulator of you can massively abuse the kerbs. However, if the game allows it then we have to do it to set as god a time as possible as everyone else is doing it !

I used to do that on my older videos but the drop off at the end of the video was extreme so I stopped doing it to give myself a fighting chance of getting a decent average view percentage so it would be more likely to be promoted in YT. Unfortunately that’s just the name of the game and being a small channel I have to give myself the best chance. Sorry for the long winded answer.

in the corner at 7:57, why do you go down to 3rd and then back up to 4th before you start accelerating? does it have to do with brake balance?

I think so. I don’t think the settings allow for modifications as far as I know 👍🏼
