  • 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 2.0: Packing and review.
    ------------
    PART II:
    ------------
In this video I will test pack and review the 5.11 Rush 72 2.0 backpack.
    It's a 55 ltr BackPack
    Color is Coyote
I previously made a video where I had just received the backpack, and it was mostly a kind of first impression, where I went through all the pockets and storage spaces and specs. You can watch that video here:
    PART I: • 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 ... )
Many of you wrote to me and asked if I would also do a test where I actually pack the backpack and test how much I can fit in it. And I have now done that in this video. I will pack the backpack for a current trip and I test whether I can carry all my equipment, cooking utensils, clothes, camera equipment and so on. I show how I pack the backpack, how the individual features can be used and how much stuff I can fit in.
In a subsequent video, I brought the backpack on a tour to see how that would go. So the same setup, but on a real trip. You can find that video here:
    PART III: • 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 ...

Morten, Thanks for the detailed review. Was looking at that pack as well. I live in a National forest area in the states and also do a lot of 2-3 day excursions and think this pack will work well. By the way, love Denmark. Spent quite a bit of time in Denmark prior to retirement. Looking forward to your future reviews.

Hi and thank you 🙂 Yes, for me it is also best for my shorter trips, where I can bring more equipment and a little more weight than the longer hikes. Today (when I wrote this) I am going on a 2 day trip, where I test the backpack out there. Sounds lovely to live in a national forest area :-) Have a great time out there 🙂

I’ve been looking forward to this video. I found your earlier video on this backpack when I was researching for my new back pack. I also bought this pack. I’ll be honest I wasn’t convinced you’d get it all in! It’s a very versatile pack, you did a great job! The open pocket is a game changer. Look forward to the next one and see it out on the trip. Have fun!

Hi @lymskiUK, and thanks. Yeah, I wasn't even convinced myself that it would work either, so it was quite surprising. And indeed without even using the option to attach pockets to the external molle system. And yes, I am looking forward to taking it on a trip next week. Hav a nice one out there 🙂

It’s an enjoyable video. In my opinion, the more you pack into a pack, it will become a heavy burden to carry while hiking or walking long distances. Rush72 is a great pack but a true backpack like Osprey or Gregory may be more suitable for camping stuffs 😊

I totally agree. I also never wanted to pack that much again, it was way too heavy. And I myself also use Osprey or similar lighter backpacks for hiking. But, if you have to pack heavily, this Rush 72 is built for it 🙂
