    I’ve been using the compression straps for quick carry off a jacket, tripod, or “MOLLE”

    Went to 511 today to look for a new sling bag. I checked out the Moab 8 and Moab 10. The 10 is pretty large. Large enough that it is better to have both shoulder straps to be used as a regular backpack cuz it will be heavy if you fill it up so use a regular backpack.
    The Moab 8 Double Tap is about just right. The CCW pocket on the M8 can hold my 1911 government, 1911 with rail and light, even my FN FNX .45, which is a beast. But it is slender enough to not have the pistol sliding around. It has enough organization pockets to organize my pens, markers, extra keys with the key clip, large enough for a tablet, notepad, and a few items. This is not a 5 day assault pack. If you're looking for a 5 day assault pack, get the RUSH 72. This is really for a quick day pack, EDC pack for office gear and a good man purse.

    Great review, Threads. I guess you really have to do your homework on a new bag. Stay safe and stay cool

      Right on! I am loving the 8 just wish the front flap pockets were still part of the line up. Maybe a 2.0 is in the works. Take Care!

    thank you for the close look over two bags, which i wanted to know. may i have your opinion about its Tier System. I have rush12 and am thinking about use it for business trip and short trips. which Moab should be better,10 or 8? …6?

    • @AtwoodThreads
      @AtwoodThreads  Před 2 měsíci +1

      With the 12 I would go with a 6 due to size. I may do a video on the tier system next. I personally do not use it that way however it could be useful.

      If you can get to a 511 store, go and check them out. Everyone has different needs and different idea of gear and you really need to open it up, check out the size, and organize your pockets. I have the Rush 72 and Rush 24 I use for traveling. I don't even use luggage anymore. The R72 packs 5-7 days worth of clothing. 5 days in winter, 7 days in summer. The R24 carries 3-5 days of clothing. 3 days in winter, 5 days in summer. I have the MaxxTrack for "dark alleys" as it carries my Skysteel Spectre Combat Survival Knife and a Cold Steel Recon Tanto strapped to the molle sides, and the baton sleeves carry an Eastwing tomahawk. I can add on several water bottle pouches for water, so I can pack flashlights, energy bars and beef jerky, additional survival or combat gear, multi tools, paracord, signaling mirror, and either slide my pistol in the hydration pouch or in a holster on my gun belt.

    I just got the MAOB 8 and it’s a fantastic little Pack you can add little packs to. Is there anyway at all to get that plastic insert in the back put easily without cutting any stitching lol I don’t carry a lot of weight and really don’t need the Panel. It’s a neat little pocket without that plastic piece. Stay safe my Friend, Semper Fidelis

    • @AtwoodThreads
      @AtwoodThreads  Před měsícem +1

      Hey!
      I remove that plastic insert on all of them. I will do a short video on removing it. No cutting involved.

    The Issue here in the Philipines in Manila you can't use any SWISS ARMY KNIFE OR GERBER OR LEATHER MAN TOOLS. DUE TO X RAY MACHINES. THE USUAL THING THEY ASK YOU IF YOU ARE MEMBER OF THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL TEAM... OR E.M.T... OR THE E.M.S WHY?
