Awesome! I grew some from the store as well back in 2021. I currently have one almost 3ft tall in Windsor, Ontario. Very nice palm. It’s currently in a pot right now and doing pretty good.
Here in Mediterranean, Phoenix Dactylifera grows almost as fast as Washingontia palm trees. When they mature, like 10-15 years later, definitely look majestic.

Well Morocco Algeria Tunisa libya and Egypte are a part of the Mediterranean Sea. These date palm trees are native there especially Morocco
Would be awesome if you put it in the ground. Majesty in the ground would be cool too.
Mine didn't make it. After the second frond it speared pulled and died
I've tried growing dactylifera probably 3 times now and after the first year they always spear pull and die.
That looks great I’ve been growing some store bought dates for about a year and they are a good size now putting out pinnate fronds
