    It looks like the coach uses downward movement of the wrist as opposed to pronation of the forearm @ 1:45.

      If you watch Coach Han swing in slow motion, you can see a natural pronation movement before hitting, but the hand grip loosens at the moment of hitting and the force is maintained to prevent losing the racket. The racket movement at the end of the swing may seem like excessive use of the wrist, but if you actually follow it, there is no pain or difficulty. This is my experience correcting my swing using Coach Han video.

      Most coaches doing Group or continuous pay as you go coaching don't want you to KNOW this. ( Sad to say that but True)

      이 영상에 남녀 스윙의 차이가 보일겁니다. 라켓이 나아가는 원리는 같습니다. 스텝은 조금 다르죠. 남자는 힘을 모은다면, 여자는 이어지는 풋워크의 탄력을 이용하는 비중이 더 높습니다. 남자는 꾸욱 바닥을 누르고 여자는 통통 튄다고 할까요? 물론 개인차가 있습니다.

    Coach uses the word "Pull" a lot, what does he mean exactly by that? Is that taking the racket back or forward?

      In the video, "pull" seems to refer to swinging with your racket in front of you and pulling it toward your body.

      Generally One PULLS back!( if so, therefore he means The Racket away from the shuttle as it approaches you n then striking it to it's intended target.) This was my understanding.

    I don't see how the thumb holds the racket after the smash.Sometimes the racket slips from my thumb after a smash

      When you hit the shuttlecock incorrectly, your grip becomes distorted.
      As you swing, look at the shuttlecock until it disappears from sight.
      Many people take their eyes off the shuttlecock before the swing is complete. Be sure to watch it.

      Practice, man practice n patients! It works.
      [ There are very simple Offcourt exercises in How to Hold, Control and Switch grips; quickly & Smoothly].
      All done by Fingers( Similar to how Jugglers do). Slightest feel allowing the ability to Adjust, Execute n Switch.

    Coach Han, I wanted to share my problem with holding the racquet in forehand and backhand position.
    I used to play with incorrect grips but when I saw many of your videos about the grip, I tried changing my grip position. I am finding difficult to adjust and my shots have become slow. Please help !!

    알기 아는 데 요령을 몰라서 헤매고 라켓 무게 잊지 말고 어깨는 뒤에 두고 라켓이 머리 앞에서 놀아야 된다

      단 하나의 지름길이라면 최대한 천천히 해보는 겁니다. 본인의 라켓이 눈 앞에서 다 보일정도로 천천히. 그래야 느낌이 옵니다.
