Mara(Chin) vs Lai (Chin)

Mara and Lai shares the almost the same identity, history, culture, and traditional address.
Lai People live in Hakha, Thangtlang and Lawngtlai District. Mara people lives in Thantlang, Matupi and Paletwa and Siaha district.
Arther Carson is the missionary to Lai People in 1988 and R.A Lorrain is the missionary to Mara People in 1907.
The population of Mara is around 100000 and Lai is around 120000.

Falam people are lai, they call themselves laimi, they call their language lai ttong, and they can even communicate with hakha people with no prior learning of hakha cuz its literally the same language lol. “lai holh” and “lai ttong”. learn more abt ur own culture bro

Lai Burma is around 1.5 lakhs and in Mizoram around 4 lakhs
