I've been growing squash since I was a kid and I've never seen the squash horn thing wonderful! 😉
Good morning from Alabama. Glad I learn the importance of pruning. We got a rain yesterday morning, we are so grateful but like y’all, we still need more.
I was praying hard for a slow drenching inch of rain. God provided, it didn't come down in a down pour and it just rained and drizzled just like I asked and got a inch...
I’m in bama also
@@sharonkeef0522 I am in NE AL near Lake Wedowee.
Hey i like

Absolutely beautiful gardens and such a plentiful harvest. Watching you two harvest is like watching kids in a candy shop, just love it. God is so good and we'll be praying for moderate rains, nothing torrential. Blessings always, g.
I always love spending time in your garden. Of course I learn many things, but your garden walks are calming.
I found you guys from pinballs live being deleted and my goodness you two remind me so much of my family from West Virginia that it almost brought tears to my eyes, haven't got to see them in years but it takes me back to my grandpa's farm and that really warmed my heart. Thank you
Oh my this has been a real good long video I love watching y’all together and enjoy watching y’all videos little Betty is so very pretty
She left yesterday headed to a new home.
You will miss her!
OMG!!! I lit up like a Christmas tree when Mr. Danny made the Squash Horn!!!! Musician here and that was AWESOME!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
I've never seen a squash horn. How cool was that! You guys are great!
My dad would make those for us as kids loved it. Couldn't remember how to make them now I can do it for my daughter. Thank you
I am going to make me a squash horn 😂😂🤣
That horn is great 👍
Oh my gosh i was supper excited about the horn mouth just open!!! Thanks my kids will love it
Seeing Danny in his name sake Corn reminds me how much I miss my Daddy and his generation and their input, so grateful for gardeners like Danny with old ways experience and new ways, then shows us what does and doesn't work with the stranger weather we all are getting. David the Good by the way was grateful y'all for his Danny corn he mentioned y'all and I knew it was the "Danny" corn before said it. :) Just realized YT suggested a month old video to me, but I am glad now I can go to a check up on how you all made out.
That is a Cocozelle Squash or also called a Cozella di Napoli. It is one of my favorites that I grow each year!
OMG! Tell me WHY I got so excited to see.that "Squashhorn" work. I can't wait for my squash to grow out so I can try it. 😄😄😄🥰
Oh my goodness, just saw the squash horn. That was wild. 80 years old, and going to have to try that.
You guys are the best!
Love walking through the gardens with you both! Beautiful harvest today. Enjoy your fresh eating tonight.
Morning Y’all, a cup of coffee and my notepad, it’s like school, thanks !
Tremendous garden and gardeners! ✌️
LOL my 2 year-old stopped what she was doing and was laughing hard when Danny blew the squash horn! Now, I'll have to try to do that when we get our squash in. Thanks!
I just about fell off my couch when you blew into the squash stem!! Did not expect such a big noise from that!! I love you guys...blessings all the way from up north in 🇨🇦
Danny and Wanda - you guys are fantastic gardeners! Such great plants! I wish I was your neighbor! Fantastic people inside and out! Lov y'all!
\
That's so beautiful, love learning from you good folks.
Garden tour videos are my favorite. I know they don't get as many views but there is so much to learn. Thank you both for taking the time. These videos are never long enough in my opinion. Looking at what y'all have, what a testimony to what two people, who apply themselves, can do to create a self sustaining lifestyle. I am quite happy where my progression is in my small farm, but it's nice to see where we can be if we apply ourselves. I have learned much from just watch y'all's channel. It's difficult admitting how little I do know sometimes, but with the help from y'all, and some others, I am able to learn at such a faster pace. Thank you.
Loved the squash horn ! Now I need to try that with my squash this summer !
Thanks guys for being here for us all. Beautiful place you have there. You guys have a great week. God Bless
I can watch this all day long! Thank you sooo much!!
I like that you say how you use what you grow. 💕
May the Lord bless y'all throughout your day! 🙏👍😁
Your bountiful gardens are amazing! And thank you for explaining the blueberry “trees”! 😍
Black Wooly warms are a tale tale sign of Weather. The longer the black bands (less rusty color) indicates severe weather, really cold winter and a lot of snow. The wider the band would indicate a milder winter.
The bands you saw wernt that thick. Hmm, well like you said Mr. Danny what's that suppose to mean? Perhaps some record breaking weather upon us..
I will have to make a squash horn with my grandkids. Thank you for that
Love the squash horn! Will have to make for my grand daughters this summer! Thanks for all the garden tips!
Love the squash horn! Garden looks great yawl. We need rain here in Texas real bad, lot's of prayers. God Bless, Mike
Good morning! What a treat, going through your beautiful gardens this morning. Such a chuckle when Mr. Danny played the zucchini!!! I would love to see a weekly visit the garden. Such a great educational video. We have so much to learn from Deep South Homestead. THANK YOU!
As a Brit living here in the USA, I feel qualified to tell you that the 'mystery squash' that a kind subscriber sent you is known in the UK as a 'Marrow'. Have not seen one of those in years...way to go!
Good morning Danny and Wanda ☕🐓🌄 Your garden looks beautiful 🌽🌶🥒🍅🥬Have a blessed day🧡
First ever squash horn for me. I LOVE THAT!!!!
Love the garden tour Danny & Wanda, thanks so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. Now gotta get back out there and finish planting my own. ❤👩🌾
Thank you for teaching us your gardening tips. It’s helpful. Iv learned many things.
That Special Zucchini could be the Italian Zucchini by the name of Cocozelle. We love them. They are huge & tender. They can grow up to 3#.
Thanks for all you do. God Bless you both.
I really enjoyed this video and want thank y’all for it. I had a freak accident and broke 1 maybe both my feet. It’s only been a few days and I’m already really missing being able to get out in my garden and with my animals. It would be nice if y’all could do a weekly or monthly walk through the gardens like this and maybe with the animals too. Y’all have a wealth of knowledge and it comes through so well in this type video. Thanks again for sharing and be blessed.
Y’all make me so jealous, I’m in zone 3 so I’ve only planted a few cold hardy veggies, my seedlings are all over my house just waiting for safety to go out 🙄 34 degrees last night, high of 40 today 😢
Blessings
I can't wait to share the squash horn with kids when they come to visit! That was cool 😊
Your garden is beautiful! God bless you and your family!💖
Heavenly morning garden inspiration. Thanks for sharing! Im inspired to go prune now :)
So much knowledge in a garden tour! Nice horn.
Costa Romesco is the name of the seregated zucchini. You'll be growing that variety every year. Best flavor even raw. Y'all have a blessed and fruitful week
I've been growing that type too and it was sold to me under the name Italian ribbed zucchini with the name "Costata Romanesco" in italics behind.
I love this zucchini. Even the baby squashes are huge! Lol.
We use a spirilzer and turn them into zu-sketti lol
I found a hybrid zucchini that looks just like it but instead of being green/light green stripes its yellow with light yellow stripes.(sunstripe by botanical interests seeds) It looks lovely together on the grill. Too bad I can't save seed tho.
@@Emeraldwitch30 l absolutely love it! And what I like is I can save the seed. I keep a few hybrids around in the freezer, just in case. I butchered the spelling, hadn't finished my 1st cup of coffee😂😂
@@cherylstarke5206 I'm planning on saving the green one seeds for sure. My hubby loves it grilled and I've been playing with ways to bread it and freeze it for winter.
@@Emeraldwitch30 makes a good pizza crust too. I usually partially thaw my squash then shake it up with cornmeal. Doesn't look as pretty as fresh, but dang it's good! Have a blessed day, heading out to help my husband hook up the tractor to start cutting hay!
@@cherylstarke5206 be careful! But have a beautiful day right back
I used to pick huckleberrys to add to my pancake batter. The heat brings out a flavor that is superior to blueberries in my opinion. But, I really have never liked blueberries at all, so I'm a little jaded. I made sure that each tiny berry was very soft so the juice would be released during cooking.
Nature is amazing. I live in Utah. Plants that struggle for me are prolific for you . Plants that struggle for you are prolific for me. We live in a blessed country.
When I saw you in that corn I was reminded of my cousin in north Mississippi who is now about 62 but when he was about 15 his father told him to plant 60 acres of corn. Well the old man went into town to work and my cousin proceeded into a neighboring small town and collected pot seeds from all his acquaintances and threw them in the hopper with the corn. This would have been about 1975.Well nature took its course and that was a lot of pot seeds. Now the old man had been farming all his life and knew every weed of the area and when he saw this new one it didn't take him long to figure out what it was and then figure out how it may have got there. All the sudden he had become a 60 acre pot grower and the sheriff had also got wind of what was there. LOL. Anyway they took care of it with little fanfare and the FBI didn't even get involved to make a nation wide mountain out of a molehill. There were certain advantages to living in a close knit community back then. That cousin recently retired from a career in truck driving.Heck by the time that kid that grew up on a farm got to be working age he had already been working his whole life and had a tremendous advantage. He had been driving trucks and tractors since he could reach the pedals .Thinkin of it made me laugh. Young men are alot like puppies you got to watch them! They might get in to some mischief. Older men know that and used to keep them too busy for much mischief but sometimes even that plan fails@!! LOL
I’m an old guy, but didn’t know about the musical squash! Great video as usual...
Hi Wanda. Oh that corn looks beautiful!! You are such hard workers I love how you share your life with us. Great video as always😁. Looking so forward to our collaboration Wanda.
Ive been repeating to my better half that things have been super fast this year weather and animal wise. Things are off. But then again I see them spray so often before strange weather that is has to have some effect on things I suspect. God bless!
Man...I wish you were my grandpa!!!! you are so full of aged wisdom and maturity!!
Good morning Mr Danny and Ms Wanda I finally opened a new garden area for my potatoes I planted red chieftain and Yukon gold and today I open another new area for my russet potatoes your gardens are looking beautiful you guys work hard and that is why they are so beautiful I found wild blueberries on the property and I'm transplanting them and wild strawberries you two inspire me to keep going and use the gift God gave me growing veggies stay safe and God bless
If’n y’all get seeds off the horseradish, I know for flat fact that y’all are going to have buyers!
That was so enjoyable!
Happy harvesting
What a beautiful, delicious blessing! We're picking radishes and salad greens here in Michigan. Going to attempt to make a squash horn this summer for the kids. I've never heard of them before!
Your gardens are soo neat! Literally..... something to aspire to. ❤
Everything you get is food for the belly. I'm doing some succession planting today. I love growing food and seeing the seeds coming up.
It is, obviously, the individual attention you give to your plants and animals that prospers them so abundantly, and the pruning and culling are necessary parts of that attention.
Love seeing what goes on it the south. Perfect example of why to buy reliable seed from a reliabe company if you want a consistant crop. The striped squash are a hybrid of Romanesco. It tastes great, better than regular zuccini. Your corn looks awesome.
They're cocozell zucchini squash heirloom.
Just a beautiful sight this morning!❤️
I like these vids the most. You guys are living the life
Wow!!! What a treat just happened to find you this evening. Loved all the info you gave on the home grown food on your homestead. The pond was dear to my heart had to visit my grandparents pond every morning. So many memories. Joined your Chanel and look forward to videos. Thank you.
I'm just loving your Gardens Mister Danny and Miss Wanda! Love watching your Vlogs they're very educational and the content is spot-on. Thank you so much for the information concerning those borer beetle and squashes and the information you gave about doctor Earth's golden Bloom phosphorus! This year in Central Texas half of my cropped have been completely attacked and I've unfortunately had to pull half of my squashes. This year I'm growing crooked gooseneck, white pattypan squash, miniature butternut squashes which grow about 4 to 5 inches Max, Caserta squash, Jaharadad Squash, and Candy roaster squash. I have harvested quite a lot of caserta squash and a ton of Patty pan squash! Very blessed and very thankful for that Harvest. And the miniature butternut squash is now starting to produce quite a bit but those bugs are horrendous this year I've never had this issue as I have this year. They are leaving my cucumbers my cucumbers are looking great I have Yamato extra large cucumbers, Armenian cucumbers, and sour Mexican gherkins, I also have five varieties of melons and four varieties of beans at the moment along with a variety of herbs. But the squashes are taking a toll. I have a very small yard but I am doubling up on the gardens and making sure we have room in the freezer to stock it well. God bless and take care love from Texas. By the way Danny the zucchini you just picked up that you were sent I think it's a cocozelle zucchini!
I just love when Danny talks to the cows.
WOW Ive never seen or heard a squash horn - terrific !
A squash horn!!!! I love it!! My granddaddy would make a whistle from an old piece of water hose and a piece of wood he would whittle to complete the mouth piece. I wished I could remember how he did that
New sub here, you guys are amazing!! I think my life goals just shifted, I love what you two have together. Have a great day, thanks for sharing.
So satisfying to watch you walking through the gardens! So peaceful and love the bounty you harvested! ~ Jan in Ohio
Oh you two! You're so cute & I just beamed while listening to your excitement over the glory of the green and the fruits of your hard labors. God is good, but listening to your southern draw in the peace of the morning...was like two little kids having a field day of discovery just made my day! :) Your gardens are glorious and I have to admit you inspired me to pull out my seeds (northerners plant after Mother's Day for sure). Thanks for sharing, giving me smiles & inspiration.
So many people want these pristine cookie cutter houses and lawns without a blade of grass out of place. Your place is an absolute dreamscape!
Love to watch y'all walk through and give us tibits of knowledge that we can add to our files.
They was fun picking with you guys! What a joy
Danny my grandkids are really a huge help to me in my garden's. Their ages are three, five, and seven. They are going to love to make musical horns. I can hardly wait for my squash to grow now.
I LOVE to see your garden tours!! Especially when there are surprises for both of you! Hoping for a bit of rain to come your way!!
You two are awesome. Love watching your videos. God Bless you two.
Nice tour! Thank you for sharing the tips on growing, importance of trimming & of course the squash leaf horn 🎷..
Glad the wind didn’t blow over your corn. Mine is all on it’s side.. hope when sun comes back out it pops back up.
It should
Enjoyed the video. Just ordered some of that Dr. Earth Organic and Natural Golden Bloom. The squash horn is so neat. Going to show that to my grandson. Thanks Danny and Wanda.
I just realised my honey berries are getting ripe. They are never this early here in Minnesota. Your gardens are beautiful. I just planted my gardens the last 3weeks.
What great blessings for all your labors. It gets tougher as we age. At 75 I am still gardening
and looking forward to it this Spring. tms poet Ohio
I love how you cheer each other!
You two have the greenest thumbs of anyone I have ever seen. I thought this year my garden was amazing but compared to you guys my garden is just way better than it was last year which was a big old flop. Oh, the good side mine is growing and I know I will be picking something this year which is better than my nothing last year. I have learned from you two which has helped me this year. Love you two.
🌞Good morning Danny and Wanda that was amazing a squash horn I never knew you could do that with the leaf of a squash the garden is doing really good thanks again for sharing this.
Love your garden. I’m learning from you. Thank you🥰

The Blueberries Are So Gorgeous
Good morning from Ontario canada 🌞😊❤
I like the concept of his & hers greenhouses. I learned and relearned a few things on this crop tour.
It's a squash shofar Danny. Thank you for the upload. God Bless you and Wanda ❤❤.
Omg!! I am 30 and plan on having a "harvest horn". Thats gonna be my cue now for everyone to come help. That is one of God's cute little wonders.
Y’all amaze me at all the food you are growing and it all looks so good!!! I’m jealous. I wish I could do all that. Maybe one day before I die (back issues). And let me just say this……I HATE STINK BUGS!!!!! 😡
