- USA Knights take on Australia in the 5 v 5 team battles during the 2018 International Medieval Combat Federation World Championship, being held at Scone Palace in Scotland. A win for the USA Knights.
- Sport
I like how the United States and Australia, two nations that had nothing to do with the actual medieval era, are the ones fighting in the world championships.
We can use 19th century rifles as clubs!
I think you just explained it
Our ancestors sure did.
Idk if you knew this about USA but before we were a country and in the 1500s with the European settlers we actually had knights for the last 100 years of the medivial era
@@fadedjdean6546 that's badass
If they ever ban football from schools, I vote that this replaces it.
I say schools should introduce this sport alongside it.
Me too
Significantly less dangerous. Less head and neck injuries
Fuck football id rather see this its more entertaining then watching people chace other people with a ball
Yes
never expected to see US and Aussie knights trying to kill each other in Norman armor
not norman but mhm
going back to their roots
@@Bdelliumharts the americans are beyond the medieval times tho

Haha
I want this to become super popular.
In my opinion this is the funnest sport to watch and would be really fun to be in.
Yeah ide watch this over any sport anyday.
Not in-person though. One loose piece of metal sent flying and you're lucky to only lose your fingers.
@@JohnDoe-su8ewAudience members should get to keep stray weapons and armor if they catch them.

I am absolutely in LOVE with the pattern for the USA team, It looks so badass!
@Colin Porter ikr! Like know samurai armor when you see it SMH
ok but the Kangaroo banner is making me laugh so much, like this amazing alternative history
It looks so damn cool 🇺🇸

Im gonna try to make it in for honor
Don't care what anyone has to say. This should be on main stream TV there is so much a TV company could do from showing how the armour and weapons are made to the training and interviews with the players. Seriously if I had the money this would be prime viewing
Duuuddeee it totally would
I would watch this, Im hoping men and women do this and I would do it and I don’t care about fairness/unfairness it just looks awsome and style points go to usa.
@@mermaidmimsy Men and women do both compete idk how much so in the global level but in the national level they definitely do
3:54 the guy running in with the axe was obviously Australia's most badass knight
I don't know the rules, but shouldn't the guy he hit have been downed and out after that strike?
@@Newbie4Hire No, only when a knight goes to the ground (it counts when the knees hit the ground) or when someone loses one of their armour pieces. Also, some spots on all the knight are prohibited from hitting but I don't remember those
@@BossBabyBestAnime ah ok, thanks for the clarification.
@@BossBabyBestAnime Late response, but I'm pretty sure it's neck, back of the knee and groin. There might be more but I'm not sure.
@@499predator Late response, but also the foot ;)
Just like the real 1300s, when Australia and America sent their knights to finally settle their bitter border dispute.
😂
Lol
Ah yes the Great Backyard brawl of the early 1300s there was barbecue and shrimp strewn everywhere truly a bloody brutal conflict. ;)
Yeah right..
I did not think for Honor would look like this in real life
well if they knew they were going to die, they would fight a little more better. with some years of training added, then it would look a little like for honor. lol
Admortem inumidus
@@lisi8thagrate69 It would most definitely not look like for honor, there's no hyper armor in real life.
Haha if they were fighting to the death...It’d look a little different

pankek senpai armor protects you yeah but blunt force is still painful
basically hacking him to pieces in real life
I’m British and I don’t know why but I couldn’t help rooting for America so bad

3:35 the block with the axe was sick
Simon is a beast. He was my favourite for Knight Fight Champion
@@XanderLovesKpop I follow him on youtube, absolute beast. Nerd Rage!!
3:25 what a beast move from that axeman
This shows the difference betwen fighting as a team and as individuals, but it is kinda funny to see two nations who never had knights fight so well.
The medieval interpretation of the US nights is awesome 😎
Shoutouts to WIld Bill impersonator who just runs just around with the flag as a wild west hype man.
When he started taking swings to the head while being held by one and bashed in the head by the other I really felt that
I trained for this, but my wife told me I looked middle aged so I stopped 🏰
Wow
Dude there was a 50 year old thats only just retired from his last match. You do you dude
Lol
Lots of r/wooosh in here lol
Don't ever let anyone stop you from doing something you want to do

I can only imagine what a time traveling George Washington would've thought of this.
“What the foockin ‘ell is this.”
1:36 The guy on the ground felt every pain for hid teamate the music also made it more emotional for him
Splendid match.
god this is so entertaining. Who knew you could get such great fighting nowadays?
The warrior side of youtube I love it.
I was not expecting this!!
Taking multiple axe hits to the head like that can't be good.
dude how can i join this ?
@Arthur Thaete fr tho how do we join this
@Arthur Thaete well if that helps then thanks yeet
Go look up the armored combat league it helps you find a chapter near you. After that you contact the chaptwr and it guides you from there. I just joined a couple weeks ago its great

@@Goofy-G why dose so many americans have english surname despite huge german population ?
@@hailhydra8888 Maybe they took English names to fit in, or they were forced. My great grandfather on my mother's side was Irish, his last name was similar to that of O'Derby, the U.S. government changed his name to Darby, as at the time there was a large anti-Irish sentiment.
And with the last knight downed the correct way to pronounce tomato was resolved.
That looked like a whole lot of fun! 😀

I think it’s hilarious seeing knights clad in Stars and Stripes lmao
This is what happens when someone travels back in time and accidentally steps on a butterfly.
How do you get into this it looks fun and like good training
I love it, and Andre is my friend
How much does it cost to have one of these made for you? How much does it cost to buy the materials to make one yourself? Is it really hard to do?
How do you sign up to train and try out for this?
What are the rules? Like can someone be marked dead after a certain type of blow? Or do you just lie down if u get hit too hard?
My ancestors where Scottish so I'm pretty sure we all have a place and part to play in this beautiful sport. It's about comrades and friendship
This…. Is awesome
This is the best sport.
Two counties which never had a midevel history having knights contest, that's nice 👍
DOESNT matter! Look at Japan with skateboarding, Japan had nothing to do with the origins of skateboarding and now they pump out skaters winning gold in Olympics
This pleases me
IMCF is Renaissance Fair skills. BITN is where the real fighters are.

Nice i looking 2 get into that myself seems very fun
I want learn more about this game. Please who know tell me.
Can anyone explain the rules? Sometimes the fighters would get tagged a fair bit before going down. Is it a sort of honor system?
What are the exact rules of elimination for this sport
USA vs Australie.
Sans nul doute les plus vieux jouteurs du Monde.

I know I'm probably going to start a comment war, but I'm actually not surprised to see the United States in this sport. Just remember that we're the ones that have stuff like the Medieval Times arena/restaurant combos, people in Maryland and West Virginia have jousting tournaments, and a lot of college students join groups who pretend to be medieval characters!

This looks cool, but also super expensive to be involved in.
I'd like to meet some of these guys, I bet they're some very interesting cool dudes.
Hey I'd love to get involved in this sport. What should I do to get started?
Hi Heinrich, all the countries here are part of the International Medieval Combat Federation IMCF so have a look at their website for details of teams and contacts. Good luck.
Braemar Media thank you
Go back in time about 800 years.
I'd say look at your countries international combat league website and purchase a kit, start doing some physical exercises with and without your gear. Then, join up, if you don't have a chapter or a league to join, make your own. That's really all it takes.
Don't KEEEL
Dang USA is brutal, and I love it.
This is probably what a mid-evil battle looked like
I imagine they had more training and were a bit more careful.
USA ALL THE WAY!!!!!! 🇺🇸
My new favorite sport. I need some armor.
There should be a mass limit on those ax heads, I was cringing when that USA knight was teeing off on the Aussie knight's head.
Us flag carrier at the end of the vid competed in that new knight fight show
This armor from like the 1300s right?
It's a mix. Mostly 13th-15th and some 16th century helms with 15th-16th century plate armor.
In fairly certain it was made in the 21st century lol jk
I want to do this... How can I sign up?
Buy armour, go fight
HEMA (would help a lot) and about £5000 (I'm guessing $7000) minimum for armour.
Right in his dome 😮
Where is the trial by seven
The toilet paper isle:
So true
is that a weapon or a stick?
A dulled axe blade.
Normally, sharps are no effect to armor. Blunt heavy weapons on the other hand are deadly.
Imagine a thin light blade versus a 3 kilo short mace. Forget cuts, forget armor penetration, in fact you won't remember anything at all.
i wanna be a part of this stuff how could i chivalry 2 is gud game but i wanna actually do that the armour must have actually bin thinner those days
What is the rules?
First rule of fight club:
"You don't talk about fight club"
Lol 😂 this is awesome. However, think of real warfare, like this, must have been so crazy.
