- I just got some of these tools, so i decided to fit them in a Maxpedition Micro. The Micro is a bit larger than a wallet, so it could be a great edition to smaller EDC kits.

As a tech for automated machines I recommend the Knipex plier wrench. They dont mar bolts quickly adjust to sizes and would take the place of the cobras and crescents.
That's a good point, I've been using them lately and they are fantastic. I'm actually considering not carrying an adjustable at all but I'm still afraid that I may need it one day.
I like that micro driver because the bits will fit into deep holes. Good balance of flexibility there.
It's something I've been using a lot lately, works very well when adjusting sensors!
Solid 💥🔥
Thank you!
Smallest wire cutter: consider a pair of nail clippers.
That's a good point, and nail clippers will allow for better storage!
@@dirtyboytools exactly! Great at cutting package zip ties too.
Gedore is pronounced ''gay-door-uh'' (not joking), as there aren't silent letters in German, and an e after a consonant doesn't change the pronunciation of the consonant, or the vowel before it. It doesn't change a g to a j like it does in English.
Wera is ''vay-rah''.
Felo is ''fay-low''
Knipex you got right, no silent ''k''
Hazet is pronounced ''hatset''
Witte is ''vit-uh''
Looking at it there are some weird rules about pronouncing letters differently in different combinations in German too but I don't remember why, I just know how to pronounce the words correctly.
Anyways some of my options in a micro EDC toolkit - smaller than this though, nothing above 4 in long are:
- same Wera you have (813) or Hazet 816BHK (a bit longer) or Sabrecut micro ratchet...or I could even squeeze in my Felo Bitboy bit holder with bit storage in the handle if I wanted
- Bahco 4 inch adjustable
- Knipex Cobra XS
- Leatherman Bond - yeah I know it's a multitool but it has pretty good needlenose pliers and wire cutters, knife and file, and it's quite compact. Even the drivers are good by multitool standards.
I never carry all of the above together, I carry them in various combinations, often with a Swiss Army knife. This is for EDC and I'm not a tradesman.
One of the days I'll get one of those Engineer screw extractor pliers, they are not too expensive here in the UK
I also like the look of the Channellock slipjoint pliers , the 4 1/2 inch ''Little Champ''. They cost the equivalent of 35 bucks, but thinking about it that's not much more than I paid for the Cobra XS, and I know the Channellocks are excellent, could be carried in a pocket, and have wire cutters. So those are also on my shopping list for next year.
I appreciate it, now that I think about it, the English language has a lot of strange rules as well. I'll definitely look at some of the tool companies you suggested, always good to have options. I personally love using channellocks, they grab on and hold very well, most of the mechanics I work with use them. I'd say the cobras are better for thinner fittings and preserving what you grab though.
I think it's funny that German doesn't have silent letters and French is mostly silent letters.
