As someone who has driven screws professionally for years, I highly recommend the Klein 10-fold. It doesn't have bits for knife maintenance, but it has served me well.
Came down to the comments to suggest the same thing. Mine has been in my edc for a few years now.
Klein probably is my favorite gear. My favorite tool is my Klein electrician scissors. Buy one immediately, thank me later. I will return the favor and order the 10 fold ✌️
@@chevy4x466I’m a maintenance technician at an optical lab and I beg to differ. If v tried almost all decent brands and I would say Knipex is in a class above Klein. Don’t get me wrong I like Klein tools but Knipex is a level above. Along with Wera
For my needs the Milwaukee 5 in 1 fastback is best as it’s very flat, with a good pocket clip, the driver is locking, can be opened one handed, is 1/4” bits, and you can get substantial torque on the inline position. It is perfect for handyman type jobs. A common job which needs the slim extension is changing door knobs. Those short stubby drivers just won’t work.
Definitely!
Great vid. That 711L EDC Ratchet Wrench is super cool. I like that Big Idea Design EDS II too.
I'm working on a redesign of the Bitvault to launch next year. I'll be sure to get an extension option in there. Cheers.
HOTO Precision Mechanics Screwdriver Set, 24 in 1... can't go wrong with this one. Also, Topeak sets are great!
It’s only $14 right now for Amazon prime day
This is the correct answer. No idea why this thing doesn't get more love.
Great video man! My CRKT driver stash tool lives in my little maintenance kit as my back up driver! I’ll have to check out that bit bar inline max!
Wow, what timing…just decided to try looking for drivers for my EDC, and there you are. Great recommendations and reviews, thanks!
Pb Swiss insider pocket bit driver is a great option for a bag or cargo pants pocket. It’s the smallest I’ve found that’s still big enough to be useful. I work facility maintenance and it’s my edc at work. Outside of work when I’m in jeans or shorts I carry the bit bar inline max.
I picked up a Sata bit driver for my Maxpedition micro tool kit. It takes 1/4 inch bits. One end holds a bit at a 90-degree angle, so you can torque down on something if you need to, and only cost about 20 bucks.
I love the smallrig folding camera tool. It lives in my belt work pouch and can handle most things I come across at work, and I always have it on me. And in addition it can hold a set of screws and bolts in the driver itself for any quick fixes or rigging options. It's built mainly to use on cameras and other filmmaking accessories which is perfect for me.
Olight recently released the Opry. It is a pry bar, bottle opener, wrench, stores 3 double sided bits, and has a pocket clip. Plus it’s only $50 with the potential of being cheaper when they run deals.
This is the best video about this topic. Thanks a lot. And one more thing! Where did you get the watch? Is it Titanium? Love it!
I’m a big fan of the Gerber Armbar Driver
I’ve used it many times fishing , to tighten the screws on my reel, and the scissors work great to cut the newer super line.
My favorite pocket driver and prybar combo is from Teale Designs, the Bandless magnetic drive pry.
File 2 flat spots on your driver extension for the bit vault
That's a good idea
The victorinox cybertool m is my edc screw driver it goes great in a pouch and has 4 double sided micro bits and a glasses screw driver in the corkscrew so 9 options total
I just ordered the 711L Mini Ratchet Wrench and I think with a few Wera bits and a bit extender this will be a good EDC tool kit together with my Knipex XS. I carry it in my Blue Ridge Overland Gear Bum Bag.
I really like the Big Idea Design screwdriver products, but they are sometimes not easy to get in Germany and cost the equivalent of 150 - 160 US$. That's just a little too expensive for me.
im loving the silexgear fix
I was excited to see the olight driver in there. Its such a cool little guy. It takes up like no space and handles a lot.
I literally was thinking about this yesterday. How did you know
Great top ten there. I really like the bit bar max. It comes the closest to what I have had in mind when thinking about an edc screwdriver: small, many bits, tough as nails.
Imagine a full dressed one 😮😮😂
You forgot the precision screwdriver from hoto tools. It holds 24 bits in the most elegant design possible.
I have been carrying and using the Leatherman Skeletool, as well as the full bit kit, basically since I first heard about it through your channel. Now that I am looking to downsize and specialize my carry a bit more (i.e., I don't use 95% of the bits), this is exactly the kind of stuff I am looking for. I have also been carrying a LeverGear ToolCard for ages but had never heard of the BitVault (must have missed you video on it) and it makes me sad.
Great stuff
Great compilation! No Combat beads MK2 bit driver? I recall you sharing it in one of your previous videos.
I love it, but not as something I'm going to throw in the pocket
I don’t use a screwdriver much considering I carry a bit kit in my edc bag. But on my person I have a HART Driver from Walmart and a couple bits wrapped in a piece of gaffers tape. Both go in my alpaca zip pro along with micro stream, knipex, a homemade prybar made from a harbor freight wrench , and a zebra 701 pen
For the Lever Gear BitVault, if it's that close to fitting an extension, grind, sand or ideally machine the end so it fits in there.
My favorite EDC screwdriver is just a mini Craftsman 1/8 inch flathead. It's a common size I need, and it also works as a prybar and a bottle opener.😂
I only really carry a TI Croc Tool from Vice Anvil Tactical as my flat head screwdriver while using the Philips head screwdriver insert on my Keybar.
I carry a LionSteel Eggy on my keys. Great little driver with a cool design.
Victorinox cybertool
Thank you!
Just saw a new Boker drop at Knife Center that falls in line with these sort of products. Bolt action with a pen form factor.
Also, is the leatherman extension's dimensions any different from the regular extension (regarding fitting in the bit vault)? Don't have one to compare to myself.
I have the Pittsburgh set. I put in better bits - Red=Phillips, Yellow=Flat, Blue=Torx.
You can put an extension peice in the bit vault diagonally, I know that’s not ideal but hey
I edc a countycomm titanium screwdriver they sell for dunno like $30 and it's tiny. Love it so much but bits don't go inside. But it works well 🙌
My favorite is the Combat beads mk2 screwdriver
Knaf's bit diver! Comes with 3 wiha bits, 25 bucks, super slim profile!
The brass one knurling and big idea design 17:06
Kind of surprised not to see the micro-mark dual drive ratcheting screwdriver on the list it one I edc regularly
I see you are also carrying the Leatherman Ratchet Driver. I was a bit disappointed with its build quality, with the plasticky ratchet switch that does not really snap nicely into place. Is anyone aware of a better option (which is still compatible with the Leatherman flat bits)?
If the Armbar’s driver had a detent as strong as like a Victorinox tool (or even a bit stronger!) it’d be a wildly great multitool, imo
Have you ever thought of or done a keychain only EDC set?
It looks like that Gereber Armbar bit driver is a whistle also..
What is the second item you always carry? looks like an extension arm? @15:07
How about the Kershaw TX TOOL? Is it good?
I immediately eliminate anything that uses orings for retention or leatherman bits -- overhyped for any bit size too large to be full 3D
I definitely use my Milwaukee 1505 for the screwdriver everyday.
Tbh the best screw driver I ever had for less then 20$ is from aliexpress their solid aluminum screw driver set come with like 50 nice bits and case the size of my s22
I'm a fan of Big Idea Design.
What is the watch that you are wearing here?
check out the picquic teeny turner
Excellent voice
Titan Nano Ratcheting Swivel Tool. You're welcome
These, or ... my 2$ screwdriver works great as well 😅
15:28 Please identify the precision screwdriver that would be better suited in your maintenance kit. Tks.
Knafs Bit Driver collabs.shop/jy5ycs
You're leaving out the hoto. Nothing beats it in terms of the amount of bits in storage.
I came here to say this. I've got a couple of the others in this list and find I keep coming back to that one. Great price and bit storage - but no rattle, and easy to find individual bits. I do miss having full size bits, but I use my Leatherman for that if I need them.
15:32 what is the black driver called?
I paid 26.90 for my armbar on eBay new free shipping.
whats the last driver u showed that spiiiiins
Dude i cant understand your blind love for bigideadesign they have double price utility knife and not much better than tirant razor v3.. sry for English..
He lives for getting free products, I don’t trust his recommendations
Maybe it’s a Sponser 🤷🏻♂️
He's sponsored by them. It's on their website. Don't like that he doesn't put it out there so obviously
RATCHET T-HANDLE SCREWDRIVER EDC SABERTOOTH TOOL POCKET SCREWDRIVER RATCHET PRO
Time for me to buy something I don't need!😂😅
You should put some links to the bit kits you recommend. I am looking for 4mm hex for the Pittsburgh
They're all in the description ... as they always have been
zippo bit driver
Man can you please let me in the Facebook group? My request has been sent a couple months ago and nothing...
The is no request under your name
Yes, you can easily replace a poor quality bit. After you destroy a screw. Buy the best tools you can.
