Join us as we explore Melk and its abbey. We will give you our review of Melk Abbey and show you the grounds. If you are in Melk we will show you what signs to follow to get to the abbey. Prices are included in the review for you to decide what admission options are best for you. We also discuss the cost of visiting Melk Abbey on a river cruise excursion as opposed to visiting independently.

Many river cruises e.g. Emerald, include Melk as part of a guided tour. Agree that it is stunning and a shame that pictures are forbidden. We also thought the manicured gardens were equally beautiful. Some great photos opportunities.

Good to know you can do this on your own, great info. Another stop we have yet to do.
Yes I would recommend doing it on your own and perhaps paying for the English guided tour as it still worked out a lot cheaper than an excursion. Thanks for watching Karen
