The Speed Champions line is the pinnacle of LEGO design at the moment. And I am not a car fan at all.
So true. I am indifferent to cars but love buying speed champions. It’s the price and the building techniques.

The same could be said about the Ferrari from a while back. Same windshield mold, and the same problem with print application, except in red.
I feel like the Speed Champions theme was created so that the designers could flex their building techniques.
The only problem with this entire line seems to be the canopy printing. The other issue with trying to build multiple Countachs in various colors is finding canopies to match.
This will go down as one of the greatest Speed Champion models. The building techniques are simply incredible. It looks just like the icon that is the Countach.
The bad windshield print aside, this is the best-looking speed champions car to date. Besides maybe the bronco, i really liked that one too.
This recent Speed Champions wave is incredible. Can't wait for the August sets.
I've had a thing for the Countach ever since Need For Speed 3. That game was really trying to showcase the yellow Diablo, but I was just drawn to the harder lines of the silver Countach. So iconic.
Literally just finished building mine earlier today and I agree with every word of your review. It's So good. I really would love to see more classic cars get this treatment and less concept and racing cars. (Perhaps an 8 wide F40?)
Speed champions is almost like a treat theme for me, and I'm not even a car guy. Got a day off and a few bucks to spare, I'm getting a speed champions set. They're so fun to build and use pretty unique techniques like the sides on the Lamborghini. Makes me wish we had this quality of building in all themes
Would love to see a Creator Lamborghini with working Lambo doors in the same scale as the F40
Literally got this today from the store I work at. My first Speed Champions set and my goodness what an amazing first impression. Very much a display worthy representation of an all time favourite car
Thoroughly enjoyed this build. The Countach was one of my favourite cars as a boy in the 90’s, and this sits right next my Technic Sian 😄
Really like this one, but I would love to see some color variations of this set. They really should make a red and a yellow one!
I've loved the Lamborghini Countach since Sideswipe & Sunstreaker from the original Transformers. They were sooo beautiful!
I don't mind the windshield print that much. I think the gaps are required to portray the edge, which is an important aesthetic for the Countach.

I am in lovvee with this car!! I got it a few days ago and when I was done I was like wow..this is just amazing, cuz it is it’s a beautiful masterpiece. And yes the technique they used for the intakes was flippen incredible, I did that like twice just because it was so satisfying😂 But an incredible build

I wonder if the stickers are clear to avoid more off-white. Their white color matching has been historically troubling. Too bad they couldn't avoid the cockpit color as well.
I saw someone make a full size NACA duct version, and it's just too big. I like what they went with for it.
Building it now and just got to 1:38
Putting them on I thought they felt kinda flimsy and didn't feel right... then they slide down and fit in perfectly and oh god is it fantastic, it really is brilliant.
These sets and GT7 make it such a great combination for the weekend

I'm glad I came back and rewatched this video. I overlooked sticker #7 with the front Lamborghini badge and had thrown the sticker sheet away. Thankfully I hadn't taken out the trash yet. Phew!
Might have to look through the brick list and see if I can make a red one instead.
This is my favorite Lamborghini, definitely gonna get this and attempt to do a couple color swaps

This amazing Lego set in particular actually got me back into collecting the smaller sets, and I'm so glad that speed champions in particular have gotten so good over the years coming from a car guy. I honestly just wish they would get into cars from Honda, because I would absolutely adore an old school NSX type R, or even the new Civic type R LE (easy picks aside, a CR-Z would be an absolute grail for me, being my all time favorite car and all)
Yeah Honda's by far the biggest gap in Lego's repetoire and the NSX is probably the single most hype car they could bring in for the fourth wave. I think it'd be fine just on its own, but I can see a 2-pack having some sort of racing/rally Civic, especially if they decide to go with the Castrol or Takata NSX
Yeah, if I can only buy one Speed Champions set this year, this is the one I'm getting.
The taillights, man! The overall shaping, of course, but the taillights and the rear intakes? WOW!

March 5 - I went to the lego store and they were out of stock. The cashier said 'I've never seen a Speed Champion set sell out that fast' (referring to the Countach). I ended up buying the Tuk Tuk set, which hasn't been at my local store until apparently recently.
I was lucky enough to pick this up yesterday and I cannot wait to build it! As a fan of both Lego and GTA, I’m thinking about it more as the Infernus from Vice City. In fact, I may swap out the driver for the 80s Yuppie from the CMF line to complete the look 😎
Note the grin on the mini figure. You could pass a wok thru it. LOL. I would be making the same smile.
I got this as a late present for my birthday from my brother last week and I love it. It looks more like a regular toy car than a lego car.
All the lego speed champions set I own have some plates on the top of the front.
But the countach just angles down so well and is so low it looks much better.
And the way the back of the car is build is so interesting. I have no idea how these designers come up with these methods.
Sometimes I wonder how long it took them to get to the final result with some sets. And how many concepts they had but just didn't quite make it.
My only complaint with this set is the clear stickers. I feel like they could have used stickers on white instead of clear.
I hope the redo some of the earlier 6 stud wide cars in a 8 stud wide form and make use of the new parts that have been made since then.
Best Speed Champs model, and best set in general in ages. Was very sceptical about the back end/rear window during the build but in the end some really nice techniques in there to give it its iconic shape - bought 2 already so I've got the basics to make a red one, then yellow and black will be next. Would be nice if they came up with a better idea for the mirrors though.
This was my first Speed Champions set. I was very impressed with the rear end and how Lego captured and created the angles on the car. My one criticism on the build are the rims. I was disappointed with the stickers; Lego dropped the ball there. If they were machined that would've been amazing!

I bought the Countach, Evija and 512 M.
I have the long love history with the countach, having a framed poster of this exact version since i was 6 (im 29). The Countach is really amazing, Top 5 singular speed champions Car. But imo, the best one of this batch is the 512M. Elija is ok
I don't even like these kinds of cars, yet that model looks incredible!
I just built mine this morning and it's awesome! I do agree the frontend could lend itself to many cars. When I got done I looked at the front and immediately thought first gen NSX
The build for it is on par with top tier Megabloks COD sets
when i got my first speed champions set back when they were still 6 studs wide, i thought man these speed champs set looks so great and couldn't be more realistic that this, but when lego made the conversion to 8 studs that is when the speen champion line really took of in my opinion, i really like most of the design and the building process is just so enjoyable for me, i just wish they would redo some of the 6 studs one like the F40, i mean look at this countach, imagine this level of design and technique to build an 8 stud wide F40.
I hope they do the Diablo lambo next

Edit: done. It is awesome. I used the long black stripe from the sticker sheet on the pieces that form the NACA duct and it really pops now that it is all black inside.

One of my main draws in Lego is interesting building techniques so i'll probably pick this up. I also liked it when I first saw it. Its a car I recognize immediately from my childhood in magazines and video games.
It’s on sale these days. Great set. I’ve like this car since I was a kid in the late 70’s. Wish we could get this in blue.
I'm not even a car guy and definitely don't have a taste for this style and era of car, but purely as a Lego fan, I can see how charming this set is; streamlined from front to back with minimal gaps or studs showing, amazing head light and brake light renditions that capture the design of the original car whilst also clearly showing that it is indeed made of Lego, and the wheels don't feel too small for this particular car. Really unfortunate that Lego just always fails to colour match their prints for some reason.
This is great. I'm still hoping for a Ford RS200 some day
Instead of using a 1x6 tile on the spoiler they should have used an upside down tile. Would have made it feel less bulky and more correct
Honestly I couldn’t get this set in my local stores so I just looked up the instructions on the app and built it out of spares, there were a few pieces I didn’t have but it was fun to make a junker type of car and to figure out solutions to the parts I didn’t have, great set👍

it's odd they used the LP400 engine cover for this which is supposed to be a LP400S/LP500S
I've ordered mine with the ferrari I'm literally picking them up in the next hour lovely ornamental pieces something to build over the weekend brings back memories of the 80's of my bedroom wall posters and great review by the way 👌

This is my very first Exotic car crush! I have the die-cast 1/18 of the same Countach in white and red interior! This Lego version is really cool! I might just get it, already saw it in stores and most of the other new Speed Champions!

100% agree on the techniques used in this car being mind-blowing, and they work so perfectly! The rear end was an absolute delight to build and the headlamps and front splitter mounting were almost as good too. I used to think the Audi Sport Quattro blew other Speed Champions models out of the water, but this Lambo has raised the bar SIGNIFICANTLY. 😁
I’m happy the outfit for the minifigure is actually useable for a Lego city, I’m kind of tired of the jumpsuits that I just toss in the Lego bin. I could give that Lambo Jacket to some gangster or person in a club and it will fit well.
I swapped the wheels for white 6290262 with no inserts , even though they lack the holes, the deep dish effect looks way better than the wheels that came with this set.
I got out of Lego’s a while back had tons and tons gave them to my cousins for Christmas and turned into a car guy. LEGO you have done reeled me back in with the spectacular designs my only dislike is why they won’t adjust and make a longer fender piece to blend the body with the tire better. I got the GTR, MK.5, Elva, 69 Stingray and C8 vette’s respectively. Going to get the Proto One, and this Countach soon
Hi, Jang. Do you happen to have a tutorial for how you apply stickers? I don't recognize the tool you use in your build videos.
I found out the hard way that you can't touch the translucent stickers that come with the Countach - at all.
That nose irk me quite a lot and that spoiler is a bit thick but the rest is really good. I wanted to pass but I’m gonna give it a chance, after all it was my dream car when I was a kid.

My eyes/brain just can't get over the color mismatch on the windshield. I really want to like this set because everything else looks amazing, but that white printing just does not blend together with the rest of the car at all to me. Makes me so sad since I was really looking forward to this :(
The first thing I thought of when I saw this car was lance Vance from gta vc. Not sure how much of his infernus was based on this car but the resemblance is there in my eyes and I love it
Thanks Jang. I was always interested in this, but to see it get your approval has pushed me over the edge and I purchased it. It is vanishing off the shelf here in Melbourne as fast as the car itself. Most Kmarts had already sold out. I drove to a Kmart out of the way that said it had it in stock. It wasn’t on the shelf with the other speed champion sets and I thought driving across town and dragging my son through an endless mall was in vain. I turned around and saw a set hidden among some Harry Potter sets. Had somebody hidden it for later?
Replace the windscreen by the red one of the Ferrari Laferrari. Looks surprisingly nice in my opinion

This is a phenomical display set and fun to build. My only gripe with it is the size, it's a tad too big for the minifig :D

This was the first Speed Champions car i bought... This is the kind of stuff we only dreamed about as a kid when Countachs were sold new 😍😍 I swore i wasn't going to get back into Lego as an adult... i swore... lol... i was wrong. (Now i need to get the back catalogue too🤣) These Speed Champions cars are just brilliant tho! The McLaren F1 is absolutely on point too! Definitely the lego range for car guys... or girls 👌👌
