  • Boeing will plead guilty to a criminal fraud charge related to the deadly 737 MAX 8 crashes that happened in 2018 and 2019. The news comes six months after the high-profile Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 door blowout incident. That dramatic incident, taking place in January 2024, brought the safety of the aircraft type into question again.

The message to the airlines and passengers is simple.
If your planes fall out of the sky, no one in the Unaccountable States of America will care. Especially the Department of Junglelaw.
The worst is, the victim families won't be able to bring Boeing to court with this agreement.
If anyone asked the victim families if they agree to this? Guess what...

Since Citizens United, how many corporations have gone to prison in criminal prosecutions? Zero. CEOs are the face of the organization they work for. They are paid millions for little actual work. It seems fitting that for that much money, there should be significant risk. Put them in jail.

  • @delta_cosmic

ok but that's not the only criminal charge boeing has the face. What about those whistleblowers who were killed? And what about the fact that they neglect safety/quality and abuse their employees? Also just because Boeing is fined, that will not affect the CEO's payment at 33m dollars...

What was 5 years ago? The crashes or the ongoing issues with the specific aircraft in question? It looks like what the evil pilots tried to cover up in the past crashes boiled up in their face in January of 2024 when something happened on American soil... I hope & pray that Boeing's criminal pilots and anyone who is involved will be held accountable for their crimes!!!
