- It's the Crash Bandicoot game that's been accused of killing the franchise. But is that true? I mean, it is the internet, people tend to exaggerate right? So, let's play some Crash and see how it goes.

Oh wow.... I actually used to collect those things when I was a kid. It's always a neat feeling to get a reference THAT obscure.

Twinsanity's the most glitchy crash game, and is still less glitchy than Spyro Enter the Dragonfly.

This game really didn't have a sense of direction. Now its not really terrible as the game is ok but compare to the original trilogy, its pretty underwhelming.
This is hilarious XD unlike Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly I actually loved this game as a child, it was the first game I had with my PS2, and in my mind it was as good as the original 3 games. Sucks to look back at it through a critical lense to see how poorly it holds up by comparison. Bless Twinsanity for redeeming the series though, could actually be my favourite Crash game.
Did Twinsanity redeem the series?... That one isn't perfect either. It feels just as half assed, except the cutscenes and general sense of humour of the game are on point.
They fixed the loading times in the Greatest Hits rerelease which I played as a kid.

I've been playing this game recently up to Medieval Madness and so far, I really don't like a lot of what this game has to offer. The platforming is worse than before since they botched the controls heavily by getting rid of a lot of smaller stuff like slide-spin-jumps, higher jumps when holding the jump button and slide spinning.

This was one of my first crash bandicoot games aside of Crash Bandicoot 1 on PS1. Despite the flaws I have great memories of that game, especially for that ball level in world 1, I love this level so much, it's my best way to grind lives any time I was short on them. Great review Goomba and I hope you do more games on the gamecube! My favorite console ever!

Well, some of Traveller's Tales Genesis Games have some impressive things in their Genesis games. And they may weren't good at doing games at the time before it became TT Games, but they perfectky knew how to get around some hardware limitations.

Glad to see you have more then a Gameboy and a DS between those pipes. Honestly though, Crash and Spyro are some of the only platformers that I have no experience in what so ever. Nice to see videos on them though, and this made me laugh.
Good thing an actual Crash 4 came out in 2020.

I did really enjoy Twinsanity, unfinished as it was.
I have to admit... i really enjoyed this game back when i was a kid, i mean, come on! I played most of the game on the living of my house with my family and expecially with my dad! (and damn he was a god on crash bandicoot back on the PS1 days, he still does in N. Sane Trilogy) and hearing from this game now it really hits me from nostalgia, i wish i could revive those days... i even completed it at 120% with the help of my dad, most of the time on the relics and if i remember correctly all the crates + relic on that secret skying map, oh, and i loved the first secret level!... somehow, expecially the music (this comment was made before even watching the whole video, lmao)

Tbh i always preferred the variety the Crash games provided compared to other platform games of the time, andI personally think if this game had stronger development of all the levels we saw, I think this would of been look upon more fondly. Like it has all the right elements (pun) but like the masks are cool, I personally think the level variety is cool, it's just the execution at points.
Also the 4th boss is my favorite mechanically, felt pretty satisfying to over come growing up.
Also Also, Tag Team racing is fun, it is a fun collect-a-thon, with a lot of neat concepts, not perfect, but fun.

The secret world originally had a skeleton boss, which would unlock secret areas you could access by breaking elemental crates.

Wrath of Cortex? More like Wrath of the Vehicles. To be fair I like this game but out of all the classic Crash games that do not include stupid mutans or titans this is probably the least interesting. It just has nothing special to make it stand among the rest. But I think it gets too much hate. Sure it has some terrible levels especially the water levels but it's still fun. I mean Crash 2 and 3 also had lots of gimmick levels with terrible controls. I still hate the motorbike levels from Crash 3. So I don't understand it why Wrath of Cortex gets all the hate. Sure it has more vehicle levels but except the water levels there excactly as worse as they were in the previous titles. I prefer Twinsanity and even the GBA games over this one but it's sure not as bad as Crash of the Titans.
