Today, we have another collaboration with our boy Will John, who will tech you how to improve your finishing and score more goals in a match by giving you five simple tips on how to become a better goal scorer and to improve your finishing.

Will John is a professional football player and has scored a lot of goals in his career, so if you want to become better at finishing and score goals, todays video will teach you just that, giving you tips on how to practice and what to do when you shoot. Here, you need to set up nicely for the finish and shot by getting the ball slightly away from you to take the shot. After that, you need to see where the goalkeeper is and decide on how you want to shoot - do you want to chip it, or should you go close to one of the posts to score the goals? Lastly, you need to decide on whether to go for placement or power - a placed shot may give you bigger control and improve your finishing accuracy, but if you decide to go for power, it leaves the goalkeeper with less of a chance. It's up to you and the situation you're in. If you follow these simply tips and practice a lot, you will undoubtedly improve your finishing so you can score more goals and become a better striker.

Accurate but the defender some times keeps you away from the goal so while he’s concentrated on you look for the closest team mate that isn’t marked and he can score. Unless the defender has a gap open and it’s always good to analyze your surroundings

I frustrate myself at football because every week I do the hard stuff well, but then do the simple stuff badly. My dribblings my best strength as I can use both feet and have very close control and dribbling. But my finishing ironically is one of my worst. I only tend to score inside the box. Sometimes my finishing from close range is on point; often in the bottom corner almost perfectly, but when I get a little further away I struggle.

The problem with me is that when I take a shot my it soars wayyy over the bar, I'm never able to hit the ball without it rising and just Missing the target, or I just don't get power on it, do I need to watch my body position or what because I've never had this problem ever but now I can't shake it 😂

For whatever it's worth, I had many many players with the same problem and I fixed it for them. The one main thing I noticed about 90% of them is that their upper body is way to high and that is because they are reaching for the ball instead of being on the top of it. The ball needs to be close but not too close (you will find that balance yourself) and you need to keep your head down until the ball comes out. Train on this by yourself (1000s of times) until you find that sweet spot and develop the muscle memory. Watch best shooters in soccer in slow motion but do not focus on the ball, keep your eyes on where their foot is planted, where is the ball and the position of their head and upper body in general. One more thing: watch how much of a follow through they do. A ball must stay low as much as you can because the air and the power of the shot will raise it up a bit, so do not follow through too much but instead bring your foot slightly back after you hit (see Ronaldo's technique and your will know what I am taking about). I hope this helps

Right backs will definitely get the chance to shoot in games. If you want to be a top RB you have to help offensively not just defense and sometimes when you go up you might have the chance to shoot on goal. Look at some of the best right backs like Dani Alves and Valencia who have scored some amazing shots.
