Thank you so much for this video. As much as I love the thread guide rod, the height even retracted makes it so difficult to store my machine in my RV. I’m considering removing it and using an independent thread stand instead.

Can you remove it completely & use a Thread Nanny cone stand? It won’t fit into my cabinet with the thread stand…even when I push it all the way down.
Yes you can remove it, there's a small screw on the bottom.
Is there a way I can lower the thread guide on my Juki TL2000Q a little lower, I can't close the top of my sewing cabinet.
If you pushed it down all the way already then no! Unless you have a very creative friend to help redesign it :)

This is the shop machine, we put a variety of stuff on it mainly our scissors. :)
I’ve been looking for a replacement rod on your website but I haven’t found it. Do you sell them? I bent my rod literally putting the machine in my sewing room after opening the packaging. It works but it doesn’t go as high as it should I believe.

Off this topic but on the Juki TL 2010 Q, the pre or first tension set up at the top, does that have to be adjusted and how do you do it.
That knob shouldn't have to be adjusted much; it controls how long your thread tail is when you cut. Check out this link for a video on setting up your tension :)
