Everyone thinks George is on the hotset. Notice how Sean keeps talking bout him? He was a big part in this. He is respected around the league. He was a highly coveted assistant gm in Minnesota that was offered tons of GM spots throughout the years. He denied them all and waited for a good spot to open up and selected Denver. He has been absolutely great in the draft process and got voted to best draft class his 1st year in Denver from all his peers. Yes he swung for the fences with Russ and it hasn't looked well, but just know Broncos Country, that he isn't the one who wanted to sign the extension before the season started. The owners pushed him into that before the market reset with Lamar Jackson. Something they will learn from (no doubt) in the future. So don't blame George for taking a chance. We have been in QB hell since Manning has left. He tried to do something about it. He wants to win. Him and the ownership wanna win. It's all a hard process with swings and misses. I hope George stays here for a decade or two. I know the ownership is willing to spend for winning. I feel like we are in good hands now with Payton. Some of you need to lighten up and stop calling for everyone to be fired.

2 things really stood out to me.
First he kinda mentioned being more anonymous with social media (controlling the hype) to know they’re working and success will come in time.
And then I loved how he said we should never root for our rivals to win anything! I’m glad Sean Payton is our coach!
I’m a saints fan and y’all got one of the best head coaches of all time so good luck to the broncos and I hope y’all succeed with Sean Payton and I’ll be rooting for y’all to the Super Bowl so we can get a saints vs broncos superbowl and the story would be sean Payton vs his old team

This was the last HC presser I want to see for years to come. I’ve always admired Sean Payton during his long career with the Saints. He, the staff and players bought in and experienced a culture of winning. We all know what winning would mean to the Broncos Organization and to Broncos Country. Now, if Sean can kick Russell out of his private office and dismiss Wilson’s private coaches, the Team will be better off. No distractions, just business! GoBroncos and love this Hire!
I’ll bet all the Russel Wilson Stuff will go away b4 new season. SP is a larger than life character, alot like Parcels. He commands respect without asking. He’s not going to allow distractions like that.

Chargers fan here, I too hope this is the last coach yall hire for the next 10-20 years. Payton’s a stud, intelligent. Looking for some great rival games for a long time baby!

@@britneyystaples91 it sucks forsure, I really wanted Herbert to get an offensive minded HC that way the offense remains consistent for the next decade. But, we did hire Kellen and he looks very promising the way he wants to run this O under Herbert. I think he’ll be the key to really unlock him. To be honest, I see Staley being fired next year and Kellen being promoted to HC. Kinda feels like it’s an inevitable event and if so that’ll be great. Not as good as Payton, but on the right track.

I'm definitely feeling optimistic now after things were looking hopeless after the Rams embarrassing loss. Payton will bring much needed discipline, focus and confidence to this team that desperately needs it. The little things matter in football and Payton has always been a detailed-oriented coach and that's one big reason why he has been successful and is well-respected around the league from fellow coaches and players alike. And I absolutely believe he can 'fix' Russ and bring out the best in him.

What a genuine coach who speaks with authority and clear relatability to build respect. Hackett was constantly acting like a head coach and spoke in constant empty talk with fake motivational cliche one-liners because he was in over his head. The future is brighter.
I never knew he doubted the saints in his first season with us. It's understandable. Glad I watched this video. I miss my guy tho, hope he does well for ya'll.

This guy's got a well-earned level of confidence that will serve us tremendously. He's not trying to prove he's a leader and a solid professional because he's done so already over a long, consistent period as an HC. This feels different because it's a kind of stability that we've not had in a while. I don't know how Russ will look and all of that. I don't know how long it'll take to truly challenge KC. I do feel confident that we'll be moving in the right direction now.
@Mitchell Geisen Say we’d won that game: any team in the league can win on a particular day - especially against a rival, but I would consider truly challenging to be contending for the division title. You know what I mean? How many AFC championship and Superbowl appearances have KC made in recent years? They’ve gone beyond simply dominating the division. KC has (gross) set the bar for the entire league.

Accountability starts at the top. The ownership team did a great job of doing their due diligence (asking questions, scouting, and analyzing talent). Sportswriters want to make this about who didn't want to come to Denver but that was never the case. The bad trades and Wilson's contract were a result of how things were run in the Elway/Ellis regime, and we know there was zero accountability with those two. It's refreshing to see ownership heavily involved in every facet of the organization.

He still lights up when he talks about New Orleans smh i don’t know why he left for sure, I have a feeling why but not 100% sure but he will never replace what he had in nola , it was family, teams talk about being family but few really are , Sean Mickey and the Bensons are family, I told bengals fans when they drafted joe burrow that the future was so bright in cincy they would have to wear shades lol and Denver hit a home run with Sean as well , there are thousands and thousands of people in the nfl but just a few people like joe and Sean , he is one of the great one , this is so hard to watch man smh congratulations bronco’s, I’m sure you guys have an idea how big this is but it’s even bigger smh but he’ll always be our guy lol when he retires for good it’ll be as a saint, y’all are gonna love having him there but we love him, he is to us what John is to you guys smh

@@edubb2491 Terrible draft this year. The Broncos do have a number of players that are gonna be released or have contracts restructured to free up at least 15m in cap space which would be around 30m overall. Not great but not the worst. We need a real running back, and QB protection desperately.

Russ was not by far the only issue with this team. The O line has been almost non existent for several years. Injuries last year made it worse. Especially at LT. And since we dont have many if at all 1st or 2nd round picks. We need to build solid O line and look at LBs, since we traded them all away. Maybe we can finally let our WRs out of the garage and let them go! Nice hire. But still it's one piece. This is very much a team sport. From. Coaches to players it still takes the right plan with the right talent to execute that plan. Not one HOF HC is in the HOF without a HOF QB right beside him. As a Broncos fan since before Elway ever took a snap here, it's been a miserable 8 years. I'd be happy just to have a winning season again.

I’ve said it before, but, as silly as it is, I hope they get new mics. These Arrow mics aren’t professional grade. Get a Shure mic and just slap an Arrow logo on it. The crackling and static is awful.
I knew he was going to end up in Denver, the way he talked about how he fix Russell Wilson all season was pretty obvious he was eyeballing Denver when he decided he was going to coach again.
Sean had that eye of the tiger in those first yrs , I’ll never forget the first time I saw him lol he got off the bus in front of the super dome lol he had one of those Mattock suits on and looked kinda geeky but was stoned faced like a fighter lol
