As someone who absolutely adores Nero. His blatant lying, and gross misunderstanding of his amazing character disgust me. Nero's arc in 5 is one that's of finding your family, Acceptance, Rising from Failure, Change, and of course gaining power. Nero is the reason Dante, and Vergil are alive, because they are his family. And he's going to do his damndest to keep them. When Nero finds out Vergil is his father, he wants to fight him still. And everyone else around him goes. "You can't kill your own father." All the while Nero never said he was going to kill his father. It was clear that he was never going to kill Vergil, but everyone else talking about killing him made him doubt himself. But when he spoke to Kyrie and she said. "You Always which path is right, and which is wrong. There's no need to doubt yourself." Hearing that from one person he loves more than anything in the world gave him the confidence to believe what he was going to do from the start was right. He couldn't save Credo, and he wasn't going to lose another family member. Not when he has the power to do so. That desire unlocked his true Devil Trigger. And it's very poetic that his Devil Trigger is the one that looks the most like an Angel. Because in both instances of him awakening the Devil inside of him, it was always to protect someone else. Never out of hate, or revenge. It was always to protect.

The bit about Yamato power to separate man from demon has been included since DMC4 lol, in the novel Dante uses it to free Nero from the Savior as they had fused and become one single unique existence. It doesn't work only on yourself but on others too but just like any other Yamato power it requires to user to want to actually do that

I think it's fairly obvious that mister Twin Twin formed an unreasonably stubborn opinion on DMC 5 before it actually came out, and didn't want to accept the possibility that he was wrong and unreasonable, so he doubled down with shoddy evidence, and tried to claim superiority by saying he wasn't "afraid to dislike the game," and that he somehow thinks more than every other player. It's honestly kind of embarrassing.

Even then Dante's age is never definitively given in any game, hell last I checked a lot of theories and discussions are debated about how old he actually is back before 5 came out.
Hell even in 3 we're never given an exact age that isn't in spin off/lore notes, we can only guess Vergil and Dante are late teens with Vergil being older.

The Yamato wasn't designed specifically for Vergil, as it was just one of the pieces of Sparda's power that he passed down. It being able to separate man from demon is more of an activated ability that requires the willingness of the stabbed for it to happen, and it did require Vergil to need to fully stab himself down to the hilt before it fully separated him, so that could also be a deciding factor on if it actually does anything to the stabbed.

I wanted to add this because it is important and it is a counter to his "only good point" you agreed with.
Let me break it down when that Guy mentions how in their reunion they don't talk or share Information it goes a lot deeper than that.
    1. In the Story/Manga Dante is OFTEN shown taking this mission very personally. Tbh him not sharing he knows who Uriezn is speaks about his character we seen only a bit in the Novels or older Mangas.
    2. In The game's Story When V talks to Morrison after getting enough money to pay him (The Manga you mentioned in your video does mention this. You even show it which is great 🔥)
Dante and V talk The only characters who knew who Uriezn truly is, are Dante and V. In the Manga we see Dante get upset and think V is making a Joke at his expense.
Now in the game before they have that conversation Morrison tells Dante he is gonna give the girls a call (Lady and Trish) Dante even says "What you don't think I can handle this gig on my own?"
After their reunion in the Tree
When we play through Dante's route when he makes his way to King Cerberus. He says to himself "this is my gig" and says to himself that Nero basically shouldn't be here because We know and he is obviously hinting to people who never played DMC 4 before that He knows something about Nero and Vergil's connect
We fans knew actually what he meant and later after he tells Nero that Vergil is his father it brings it all together and how he doesn't want Nero to try and Kill his own father.
Dante bringing up at the is just him mentioning before he was gonna go off and end this.
All of this is again I mentioned is a Character Flaw which is fine especially since we know he does care about his brother and the situations involving him.
He feels like it's his problem. That's consistent. So to me their reunion is fine sure I would love to see all the crew talk and interact more. Them just having that simple talk works imo.
I can go on and on But that's my general response to that and why Dante saying it's his brother at the end matters.
Tbh your video and response is so well done and I plan on seeing part 2 shortly but yeah the other guy is being a moron and it hurts to hear him lie and or not understand that his own ideas are not only shit but would be worse for the overall story.
But his thoughts generally are bad. You really covered it really well and countered the necessary parts 👌🏾😁

I have to disagree on the trish/lady point. I don't think he made a very compelling argument but i do think that the lady and trish in this game are quite the far cry from their original versions. Lady in DMC3 was parallel to dante. Without her, he never would have changed into the man that could defeat vergil. He even tells her that in game. They share a bond because through the actions of the characters lady learned, like she says in the ending, that not every demon is evil, and that humans can be as evil as any devil. She never wanted to kill her father, but she felt a responsibility to do so because of the deaths he was likely to bring upon other people. Which is the mirror to dante. He never wanted to kill vergil. But ended up having to save other people. He woke up to his fathers true ideals of justice and that gave him the strength to beat vergil. That's compelling.
I fundamentally disagree with the fact that they didn't have enough screen time. You really don't need a lot to make an impact. That's the reason i dislike the fan service scenes. Delete those and take that runtime to let lady have a true conversation with dante or nero. How much more interesting would it have been had lady been the initial foil to dante wanting to kill vergil. Saying she regrets killing her father and wished there was another way. That could have been a great emotional moment. Or even a conversation with nero on what it means to slay family and how it affects you. Or just a conversation on how nero feels about dante and unveiling he wants to protect the family he has FOUND rather than was born with. ANYTHING but what we got. "you wouldn't want to do that" Doesn't say anything. It doesn't speak to the depth of the character.
This is the finale of the saga. These characters SHAPED dante into who he is. You would think they would have some great moments but instead, when dante gets incapacitated they selfishly try to take over his shop and than get called bitches. Why would lady ever do that. She's supposed to care about dante. I can't imagine the lady from DMC3 ever doing that to him. Nor any of the fanservice. She feels like a totally different character. If that's how people see the character than i have no idea what they got out of DMC3.

Good comment, just 2 things, one, I really doubt this is the finale of the series (as I said in the videos, but that is in part 2) and even if it is, Capcom will not really care about that anyway, and two, as much as I liked what you suggested, it is absolutely in character for Lady to try to take over Dante's shop, you have to understand that in dmc3 lady was like 17-19 and she had lost her mother recently, and now she's in her late thirties or early forties, of course she changed a lot, in fact, in both dmc4 and the anime she's always scamming Dante, she knows he's the most powerful man on earth, of course she's not worried

Perhaps my issue than isn't than with DMC5 lady, but rather with the way she has evolved over time. I felt like in dmc 1 and 3 the female characters were really well written. But starting with 4, they seemingly transformed into fan service vehicles. I was very taken aback with dmc4's design of lady/trish considering the series had never overtly sexualized their main female characters in that way before. DMC was always subtle. It really respected it's female characters and their agency in the story.
perhaps i am clouded by my love for these characters in their initial games. If what you say is true, than perhaps that is truly how lady and trish would react in this situation. But that's never what i personally imagined these characters would evolve into. And honestly it just isn't very interesting to me. If people prefer this that's fine. I can always go back to DMC3.

with the point about lady and trish its not that the characters where forgotten about its that there was no room for them in the story
the story was closing dante and vergil's plot arcs while setting up nero as the new protagonist and there was so much that they needed to do in order to acheve those goals without bloating the game that sacrifices had to be made and those sacrifices ended up being Lady and Trish's roll in the story honestly I think it would have been better if they where just left out of the story or where implyed to be doing civilan crowd control the way trish was in 4 however given the enviorment 5 came out in I dont think the devs really had a choice they needed to include all the fan favorites and ultimatly that put lady and trish in the position they where in

Also the dude has obviously never played DMC4 and heard how many times Nero yelled "KYRIE!" if he thinks Nero and Nico are a thing, Nero and Nico are business partners who treat each other almost like siblings

Twin twin might have a kind of polarized opinion about this title in some things. I enjoyed this game, but I have to agree with him on the character's aspects. The main characters don't show growth. Dante looked more matured on DMC4: still funny, but smarter. The one in DMC 5 was a big step back. Lady's past personality is lost, and Trish is... there. Nero acts like a spoiled child, and Vergil is the most unmatured character. It's practically the same guy from DMC3, trying to achieve the same but at the same time, the developers want you to empathize with him. It's the worst character. They had to let him go and get a new villain. This was a good chance for Vergil to have a redemption arc. In conclusion: Great hack and slash, but weak story

DMC suffers from this too a bit, actually. I watched the full video, I've learned new things but, I disagree with one of your statements and then I will tell you about Twin Twin's video and other videos about Nero that you've showed. The first paragraph is fact and the rest are my opinions but take it like you will, time will tell eventually.
This topic is very conflicted in the fanbase, and it's DMC5 being the finale of the series or not, sadly most people don't bother researching and making sure if it's true and they act like they know everything because of one brief sentence. I know that you showed the summary from Capcom's USA website that it stated this game to be "latest chapter in the Sons of Sparda Saga" but it didn't give anyone a lot of detail, most articles that said that this game is the "final chapter in the Sons of Sparda Saga" and DMC5 was also meant to be Itsuno's final DMC game as he had moved on to other projects (he was going to move away from the series after making DMC3 and make Dragon's Dogma but one of the executive producers pressured him into making DMC4, hopefully with giving Capcom a wishlist, he'll make any game he likes) also, Twin Twin wasn't wrong about this game wrapping up the entire series even other CZcamsrs had said that 5 ended the series, I don't really care about what Reddit, Twitter or fanboys on the comment section say. You also brought up The4thSnake and even he said that "DMC5 makes a great sendoff to Dante and the series as a whole". It's totally fine to end a series on a high note rather than milking it to death, that's Itsuno's decision to end it and move on and I respect his choice. Besides, bringing in a new director depends on Capcom and how much they care about the IP - which I highly doubt that - It's not an opinion but a fact.
Now that that's out of the way, let's go over Twin Twin's video. It's just a rant and they wanted to point out the flaws because they felt like it. Nothing is wrong with having freedom of expression and freedom speech. They weren't happy with the game's shonen anime, comedic and teenage theme for a series that had started with gothic horror and deep emotions it's like comparing Thor with Thor: Love and Thunder, you get what I mean. It may not be well-received by people who believe in perfectionism but at least they shared their opinions about the game, just like how you shared your own opinion - but it doesn't matter how much better your opinion is because others had explained it better. Btw, if someone's title says "sucks", "garbage" or "terrible" even "godawful" doesn't mean they're starting a fight, again they're ranting, now fighting is for toxic fans who get offended by every big and small criticism and act like they're going to be the head of the company tomorrow but that's another story for another day.
I watched these positive videos about Nero and they only expressed how overwhelming it is for a young man to express his human side to stop his father and uncle from killing each other. Now, I'm a Dante fan but I really don't like Nero and judging from your video, you're one of those who like Nero and that's your personal taste but I bought this game because of Dante being playable in it, his arc wasn't done but 5 meant to close up his story and Vergil's too, Nero had a key role in the story and it was him ending his family feud. I see nothing special in Nero other than still acting like a hot-headed teenager obsessed with Dante's approval, while Dante was being overprotective of his nephew because he didn't want him to be depressed like the anime and 2, it would even ruin his relationship with Kyrie.

If dmc6 ends up happening, then ttrr is just as wrong as the rest of the youtubers, including the4thsnake, in the end the ending is just satisfying enough so the series can end well if they don't make more games but open enough in case they do.

I'm sorry? He literally says in this video that people should realize dmc5 is bad (except the combat), he doesn't state anything as opinion until he pretends he does in the ending, he also seems to really like dmc3 which already had the same style as 5 so that doesn't make much sense, of course if he said "I simply don't like it for personal reasons" I would be perfectly ok but that's not what he says. Also please stop putting words in my mouth, I never said "my opinion is better that his", not everything is opinions, for example someone can say "I like the exploration in dmc5" and others can say "I don't like the exploration in dmc5", those are two opinions, but it's not the same as "I believe the exploration in dmc5 is well designed" or the opposite, those are perspectives which are trying to be objectively true, but they can be wrong.

Not part of the argument myself but uh, only got two parts to reply to since if the series keeps going, it keeps going, the most I could honestly hope for would be for it to become less "World ending event" and more "Case by case", Personally love timeskips in games if they're done right, and it'd be pretty cool to get to see some of the more individualized events, anyways-
"Now that that's out of the way, let's go over Twin Twin's video. It's just a rant and they wanted to point out the flaws because they felt like it. Nothing is wrong with having freedom of expression and freedom speech. *They weren't happy with the game's shonen anime, comedic and teenage theme for a series that had started with gothic horror and deep emotions*"
I mean aside from 1 having its "Fatalities", 2 is the only one lacking the whole Shonen thing, the whole "Here's your Crown." line probably being the only intentional comedic highlight. Dante being willing to joke around and basically toy with his enemies in 1, along with being the first in the series being where the Comedic part comes in, but Dante getting a "Shonen Powerup" in the form of the Sparda and flying through the sky chasing down Mundus is definitely something I'd count if we're going by broad generalizations.
3 introduces the entire wacky-woohoo part that quickly dies off around the time the story is prepping to close up, Lady handing Dante the Kalina Ann was pretty much the last stop before stuff was routinely serious at all times, Dante and Vergil might've joked around about Arkham, but that's also just how they act normally.
4 starts off with the whole "shock" factor of Dante shooting the pope and then him and Nero spending a fight trying to one up eachother, but considering how undercooked the game ended up being it's a wonder they kept things tonally consistent, Credo's death pretty much got entirely glossed over.
And then 5 is simple enough- Vergil hiring Dante to take out Vergil, that old joke.
But even without it being strictly gothic horror, it's still maintaining Horror in the same sense that all of the events that happen, if you weren't the white haired protagonist or someone who could fight pretty closely to one, all the events of the games are straight up cracked, even though it's definitely not the lowest stakes game, DMC1 feels so low in comparative scale when it comes to the spooky stuff because Mallet Island is a "safe" environment for a horror game or spookily themed location.
Even though 2 is pretty much looked at as a joke, Demons being able to possess buildings, Helicopters and so on is scary as all hell if you were a normal person, even if the big guns got brought out, the hell do you do when they just get infested and a Demon wears a Tank or Prius like a skinsuit and starts running people down?
3 is an easy pick, even outside the Temen-Ni-Gru(?) an entire city basically got wiped out in possibly the timeframe Dante was in the shower, when you're in Leviathan you can see an entire school bus and more inside of it, and apparently that thing was just flying around outside.
4 is essentially finding out you were partially right about a religious community being full of nuts, and then discovering they were potentially the cause of every demon related incident before they go on to commit a killing spree using said demons to further fool people into believing that they're good when they get rid of the problem they started, If Dante hadn't been there, they would've actually gotten away with it too, giving about as bad as an ending as possible when the world has to deal with a religious zealot that has actual power.
And then 5 is a whole case of just looking at the remains of people in Redgrave, even though the Crewcut scene gets pushed off as a joke, it's still jarring seeing actual military grade weapons having very little effect against some of the most mook enemies in the game, and given how much time passes, odds are any other groups of soldiers trying to contain the incident within Redgrave along with the Qlipoth getting stronger and probably expanding its range is just everyone surrounding the city getting wiped out too.
"*It's like comparing Thor with Thor: Love and Thunder, you get what I mean.*"
I'd actually like some further elaboration on this, I get that the movies are focused on the same primary character and cover different subjects, but as far as all the DMC games go, they all cover the same thing; Demon Hunting with STYLISH ACTION or whatever. If you're saying it's been watered down- Yeah trying to keep things semi-fresh without crossing personal boundaries will do that, but outside of Dante making nearly everything a joke in 4 when he blesses the screen- Dude's just so far out of everyone elses league in the game, and he already jokes around with people actually in his league- If it wasn't for Gameplay and Story Segregation, outside of the Savior fight, Dante would basically be unkillable.
"*It may not be well-received by people who believe in perfectionism but at least they shared their opinions about the game, just like how you shared your own opinion - but it doesn't matter how much better your opinion is because others had explained it better.*"
Nitpicky at this point, but isn't that the thing about opinions? Even though some fall into the same category, people might agree with the same thing for different reasons, same for disagreeing? I can understand if you're regurgitating what someone else said and leaving out the actual argument and important bits- then it starts falling into the whole trap of being right for the wrong reasons.
"*Btw, if someone's title says "sucks", "garbage" or "terrible" even "godawful" doesn't mean they're starting a fight, again they're ranting, now fighting is for toxic fans who get offended by every big and small criticism and act like they're going to be the head of the company tomorrow but that's another story for another day.*"
If it's with the intention of being controversial for the hell of it, drawing in views through use of clickbait, I'd say otherwise.
You're drawing off the fact that your statement will attract people of likeminded views, in addition to those who are coming in to comment just to tell you you're stupid- It's like a magical "Potion of Incite Violence", It's entirely possible to state you dislike something without using those words, because more often than not those "strong words" are going to get a "strong reaction"
If someone says they don't like a commonly enjoyed food, people are going to probably be surprised, confused, and often slightly upset- If someone says that said commonly enjoyed food "Sucks", is "Garbage" or so on, it's going to get a stronger response, it's entirely possible to rant without using words that are obviously going to spark up some kind of discourse. Fighting is bound to happen because you're drawing in two opposing sides using said strong words and immediately setting a mood for the interactions. If you say you don't really enjoy Dante's character in 4 because he's not really reasonably pushed by anything, that's going to get a different response than if you say "Dante is a garbage character, he doesn't fit any scene he's in and ruins the tone of the game"- Both things are voicing dislike with the character, but both of them will obviously get different responses, right?
"I see nothing special in Nero other than still acting like a hot-headed teenager obsessed with Dante's approval, while Dante was being overprotective of his nephew because he didn't want him to be depressed like the anime and 2, it would even ruin his relationship with Kyrie."
I'm curious about this part, mainly because I'm not sure when besides 4 maybe Nero was worried about stacking up to Dante-
Homeboy got his arm (And the Yamato) ripped off of him, which if Vergil was actually homicidal would've resulted in Kyrie, Nico, and Nero himself ending up on a memorial T-Shirt. He later finds out that the big ol' Demon thing in Redgrave is happening because of his inability to react quickly enough to not have both his arm and the Yamato stolen, and then to top it off the Dante, the guy who basically functioned as a sort of Mentor to him and trusted him with the Yamato, calls him Deadweight after he shows up and can't put up nearly as good of a fight with a missing arm- Course that's gonna sting, as far as he knows the entire thing is his fault.
The timeskip happens, Nero knows as well as anyone else how cuh-rayzee Dante is, so it's within reason that he doesn't believe Dante is actually dead, and when Dante shows back up in SDT, he's still popping jokes- Ain't until Dante basically tells him to buzz off, being upset about it seems pretty fair considering he managed to make Urizen get off his throne and actually slap him, it's basically like being told you don't know what you're doing or talking about after demonstrating otherwise.
Next time the whole deadweight/having something to prove adjacent thing happens is when he backhands Dante- Genuinely interesting in picking your brain on this stuff considering I'm bored out of my mind, so sorry for the TL;DR nonsense.

4:40 alright I’m just gonna keep it clear with y’all. from the start of mission 5, I really found Griffin to be very annoying a-lot of the times. i’m not joking he really gets on my nerves
Making me not want to play V anymore.
