- Hello everyone,
Welcome back to Automotive Anatomy and in this episode we meet Mr. Clint. Mr. Clint owns a gorgeous Lotus Elise. Yes, we are not familiar with this chassis and it might seem very intimidating to own one. However, As Clint had the opportunity to own the car for the past 13 years he has realized that it is a very capable machine and reliable. He wants to bring awareness to people on how good an Elise can be. With the nice additions of purposeful aero he has managed to get more out of the vehicle. He is not in search of power as he is in search of the best driving capability he can achieve. I hope you guys enjoy this episode and as always thank you for the support! #automotiveanatomy

Nice seeing a new variety of cars. Stay humble man that’s why I keep coming back ✌️
Thank you Aaron. I am im constant reminder of how humble I need to be. I am glad Clint gave me an opportunity. Thank you for the support.
Man this is my dream car
Sweet ride! 😲 nice video, love the rolling shorts. 👍
If only someone would help me..they would be better lol
Owner has good taste in cars and comes off super chill
We had coffee afterwords. he is super chill and smart guy
Keeping it real with building the driver skills and chassis skill before adding hp
So true man. He emphasize that very well. Power is besides the point
Car looks great keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for the support 👍
How can you not love this car?!?!? I will own one soon
Yes!!! Do it. I loved it man. A fast lil gokart 👍
Lotus is legendary, I don’t care what anybody says.
Super underrated. I absolutely love it man.
I was anxiously waiting for him to show the engine I knew that thing might have a Toyota engine but I wasn't sure
Lol This car would makes Scotty kilmer happy since it has a cellica engine
Nice car tough I like it 👌
No because Scotty Kilmer hates the 7th gen Celicas
16:10 funny you say that, I'm from the UK (England), and whenever I've been on a track day or gone to a track to watch racing as a spectator these cars are everywhere, Elise' and Exige's. Would love to own one of these someday. A K20 swapped S2 Elise/Exige would be my perfect car.
No probs with my 2007 Elise shifter. Very tight and slick.
Try a shortshifter, you may feel a huge difference. Thank you for watching
I love this car 😍😍😍😍
Yes indeed! Thank you for the support!
I noticed the Lotus badge on the front clam is faded and worn. Gregs race parts can fix you up with a replacement for $20. They have the black badges too.
cool tips!
My Dream car! ❤
It is an awesome car man
I saw one for the first time in person a few weeks ago. It was orange I think it's in one of my videos. It was pretty cool.
They are trippy cool man. This one soubded extremely nice and the car felt raw.
@@AutomotiveAnatomy I wish the owner would have started the one at the meet but never got to hear his.
@@HumblyDriven It sounds very nice. But this one has a few bolt ons that changes the tone.
Very nice build approach nice mods without denaturing the car.
Can you get that sound just by upgrading the exhaust without the other mods? Best sounding 4 cylinders are in the Lotus.
I think it has to b a mix of bolt ons
I’m inspired by this build for my 2006 lotus Elise. I ordered te37’s in 15x7 +24 and 16x8 +34. Do you think it wil fit? I love this dudes style.
those are nice specs. I am not 100 percent sure if it rub but I am sure with minor fixes it will work with no issues.
That's an appropriate spec for a lotus.
Very nice.
So nice
I never had a problem with my stock shifter. It might have been modified before I bought it tho. I bout it in 2012 from a driver who tracked.
The small changes make a huge difference. Thank you for tuning in
The 2008 MY+ had the shifter column stiffener modification from the factory.
Dope car, nice build. Put a k24 in that and destroy the track.
His already destroying the track. He is a very specific driver. He is working on the driver mod prior to power. Thanks for the support ✌
darte coates K is the way!
@@crxk20r59 K24 is not needed on the Toyota powered Elises - the 2ZZ is great!
What is the spec of the rims?
This guy seems pretty cool
He is. We had some awesome convo after with coffee 👍
😍😍😍
Thank you for the support Rudy! Serio man 🙏
Guy has similar taste to mine 👍
Thanks James. I appreciate the support.
My cousin has an elise and exige. He drives the elise daily.
Jiraiya Sama I really want an Elise. Not the most comfortable car but awesome to drive.
Que tal se siente en ese Lotus broth saludos
Una chulada man. Como un go kart y se escucha machin.
@@AutomotiveAnatomy bien que bueno que lo hayas disfrutado y de paso nos deleitas a nosotros también saludos
@@jorgelopez14 gracias :) cuidate Jorge!
2006+ came with an LSD option which mine came with.
It is full of great little things that appeal to a drivers car.
who cares bout the horsepower n torque
car has the looks
thass all that matters
Agreed man!
0:15 Goodbye clutch...
fix and break again lol
@@AutomotiveAnatomy 😅
190bhp
It has 192 horsepower, not 175...🙄🙄🙄
The Elise 1.8 2zz-ge NA makes between 170 to 175 horsepower at the wheels on a dyno.
@@rombierto Doesn't matter, one is always referring to the engine power, not the power at the wheels. And it's the factory numbers, not some real world measurements...
id have to respectfully disagree. most people who tune or have tuned their car very rarely talk about crank numbers. always whp
@@jay_yo It is always the crank power that is measured for comparison. This is the official power data. The power at the wheels is used sometimes, yes, but the Toyota 2ZZ-GE in the Lotus Elise has 192 horsepower at the crankshaft. Without mentioning the wheel horsepower, it is always the crank power figure. So if he says it would've 175 horsepower, it is just wrong!
@@grossmeister1181 You are clearly a rookie - racers talk in measured power not magazine bullshit kids memorize.
Actual numbers matter, especially for modified cars.
Go back to reading magazines and leave the racing to the men
Lol and it's still slow...
Nobody claims it is fast lol
