There are so many food options, a lot to decide, thanks for the time to rebook the cheaper price! I agree with buying excursions from the cruise because of the reasons you mentioned! We are not use to having to make so many reservations while cruising, there is always space for the Disney cruise shows! Loved seeing your footage from Harmony of the Seas.

Great tip on watching prices in the planner! Didn't realize you could cancel and rebook. Tip 4 is something we missed on our first Royal cruise and it caused us a bit of stress. We were able to stalk reservations and finally get what we wanted but it was more difficult than it should have been.

Never been on a cruise. Some great tips there especially on the drinks and food. Sounds like you might come back an overweight alcoholic �🙂�Best book some of those active events thro Royal Carribbean to offset some of. At least if you get stuck somewhere they're responsible for you. Looks like plenty to do on there but I suspect I'd be finding the quieter spots quite a lot to chill out with a cocktail

I don't think I've ever been to a Royal Caribbean cruise.. I sailed through Norwegian and MSC though. These are great tips! They always have several packages to pick, so if you're a drinker, I can see why you'd want it. 🙂 I'd probably take the dining package lol.. I agree with you about excursions, I'd rather pay the extra. Yes, get the app! I think I'm doing a cruise next year, so I'll keep these tips in mind. 👍

My sister and I love a good cruise (Steve likes them but not like we do!) but we've never been on Royal Caribbean. Hope you had a fantastic cruise! The planning is so exciting, deciding what you want to add and what excursions you might like. Great tip to keep looking at prices, I'd never thought to do that! I do love trying at least one specialty dining. I usually book excursions through the cruise line but on occasions have booked through a third party (some of them now guarantee to get you to the ship or your next port too.). But you are right, it's a great feeling to know you have that 'insurance' of a cruise excursion. Great tips! Makes me want to book another cruise!!!

I have thought about getting the Soda Drink package but never have. i always just bring a 12 pack of soda on board. Also on carnival if you buy your Wi-Fi package before boarding you save some money. We always book our excursions through the cruise website. not worth risking missing the ship.

We actually have 4 Carnival Cruises planned between 2024 and 2025. We have never done a Royal Caribbean yet but we will someday hopefully! It takes a lot of planning to have it all go great.
I wish I had watched this before all of our cruises. We cruise a lot, but we always feel like we are just learning what to do each time. lol We're newbies every single time and we have probably been on 20+ cruises easily. (It is Sean's preferred vacation mode) Neither of us drink much alcohol, but we like mocktails and had no idea you could get those with the regular drink package. I totally agree about booking the excursions only through RC because I am not willing to take the risk. The little additional cost is worth the peace of mind. We miss the reservations to shows EVERY time because we forget to book them in advance (or even on the first day of the cruise) Good thing there is standby. We only have been on the Disney Cruise and since it was our first time we just did what was available and did not add any tours on which was perfect for a 4 night cruise. We are thinking of cruising again not sure if we should try Disney again or Royal Caribbean which looks pretty amazing . Love your tips and will use if we decide to cruise again.

My sister and I love a good cruise (Steve likes them but not like we do!) but we've never been on Royal Caribbean. Hope you had a fantastic cruise! The planning is so exciting, deciding what you want to add and what excursions you might like. Great tip to keep looking at prices, I'd never thought to do that! I do love trying at least one specialty dining. I usually book excursions through the cruise line but on occasions have booked through a third party (some of them now guarantee to get you to the ship or your next port too.). But you are right, it's a great feeling to know you have that 'insurance' of a cruise excursion. Great tips! Makes me want to book another cruise!!!
That's interesting to know about the refund. Cruises would be dangerous for us because of all the yummy food options!

I have thought about getting the Soda Drink package but never have. i always just bring a 12 pack of soda on board. Also on carnival if you buy your Wi-Fi package before boarding you save some money. We always book our excursions through the cruise website. not worth risking missing the ship.

I wish I had watched this before all of our cruises. We cruise a lot, but we always feel like we are just learning what to do each time. lol We're newbies every single time and we have probably been on 20+ cruises easily. (It is Sean's preferred vacation mode) Neither of us drink much alcohol, but we like mocktails and had no idea you could get those with the regular drink package. I totally agree about booking the excursions only through RC because I am not willing to take the risk. The little additional cost is worth the peace of mind. We miss the reservations to shows EVERY time because we forget to book them in advance (or even on the first day of the cruise) Good thing there is standby. You are so much more organized than we are!! Awesome tips, like 117, thanks for sharing!

We only have been on the Disney Cruise and since it was our first time we just did what was available and did not add any tours on which was perfect for a 4 night cruise. We are thinking of cruising again not sure if we should try Disney again or Royal Caribbean which looks pretty amazing . Love your tips and will use if we decide to cruise again.
