You can use a sock and an elastic band to make a dust catcher for your sander. Just put the sock over the dust port and use the elastic to hold it in place

Good thing I scrolled down to the comments because I was gonna suggest the same as far as the sock goes only maybe use a clamp to hold it on to the sander. Hi Ame. You crack me up . I'm 15 years or so into van life and you are discovering all the things I did and it tickles me, I'm sat here just smiling and nodding, yupp wooden surfaces, oil and grim lol . Do have a tip for the sander though, duck tape and a sock , thin sock , or you know the drawstring white fruit and vegetable, kinda mesh bags , duck tape it over the hole lovely. My log burner creates untold amounts of dust , gets on every blinkin thing , even gets through the cracks in my wardrobe door , because I made everything out of pallet boards sanded down and oiled , 67 pallets to be exact lol , ivy is a horsebox. Sometimes I'd love a little Gloria but Major the malinois wouldn't fit lol. I love Gloria ❤. One ❤

"Close friend Ame"? Do you even know what it means to have a "close friend"? Someone you watch on youtube that doesn't know you exist doesn't qualify as a "close friend". The term itself denotes "reciprocation" as such. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm trying to impart a level of self respect upon you. Ame took 138,000 "close friends" with her on this particular journey. Do you think it's even remotely possible to have 138,000 "close friends"? It isn't! You couldn't even remember the names of 138,000 people at any given time.
People are lucky to have 10 actual close friends throughout their entire life, and those "close friends" come and go, and change from time to time. Sure, some people have a very loose idea of what constitutes a "friend", so if asked they think they have alot of "friends". Those are actually just "acquaintances" and that person doesn't understand what a "friend" is, let alone a "close friend".
Oh my gosh! Just let James think freely and imagine her as his close friend! I joke all the time with my daughter and grandkids and say , oh yeah my friend ame did this or that today….it’s just good fun! ❤ let him be.

A sock over the sander exit port makes a good filter bag in a pinch. It doesn't get it all obviously but really helps.

TIP = before waxing it is always advisable to seal the wood surface with varnish/ lacquer etc. This is to allow you to achieve a decent build up of wax polish which with no sealer would just get rubbed into the wood grain and require much more wax and work to arrive at the desired result.
As previously mentioned I would always recommend OSMO Polyx Wax Oil , it’s just a fantastic product

I first found this channel looking up van life. I myself am building a van so I need some ideas. After viewing a few of your early videos I became addicted to your demeanor and out look on life. Now I worry for you do to being alone all the time. I know Europe is not the states when it comes to crime, but I still worry for you.. I also found you familiar in a strange way, I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I figured it out.. I'm a big history buff and after watching the last kingdom several times , you remind me of the lady of mercia and the strength you bring to every day modern life.
I am hoping you have someone off camera that has your 6. But if not be vigilant, I'm shur at this point you are.

To get oil out of wood,get some soda crystals(cheap you can get some in most supermarkets),make up with hot water a small handful to about a gallon of water,scrubbing brush to get into the grain dry off with clean rag,when dry light sanding(by hand not much sawdust)re finish.Just a tip from a French Polisher.Its a different colour because pine gets more darker yellow with age
