EJS Trail Ride With Youtubers Turns Into A Recovery

- During EJS we went out with everyone for a trail ride on Hells Revenge. When we got to Hells Gate someone said a rig was stuck on the exit. We went over and helped them back down to the bottom. I drove the wrecker down the exit to help repair their broken steering box mount. Just another day on the trail. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting what we do.

Rory does better welds in the middle of Hell's gate than most can do in a controlled environment welding shop. Laying on his back with a welder run off his truck. AMAZING talent!

I've been a lot of places, broken a lot of things, and seen thousands of different rigs. I can confidently say that you will never see a rig as universally capable as that rusty tow truck.👏👏👏👏

Impressive. I’ve watched a number of videos from the CZcamsrs recovery guys and gals. One thing is evident…they’ll always stop and help other people out. Says a lot about their character. Nice job Rory and crew. Great camera work by all involved.

I’m pretty good are reversing, taught myself car control by driving down the drive and reversing back along it, I can even reverse a trailer, but reverse up somewhere like that, I’ll leave that for Rory! 👍
Paul from fab rats is pretty good at trail fixes, but Rory is genius. I think he enjoyed this more than the trail ride.

This really shows the difference between an off-roader with a CZcams channel, and a CZcamsr with an off-road channel.
Rory is just overpowered. I mean come on… forward and back, holds a phone, takes a welding brake, does some spotting and just casually catches up to the group like its nothing.
So cool to see you added land anchor back on the rig. It adds a certain medieval presence to trailmater!
Just imagine running into these guys on the trail while seriously broken lol what a blessing. Like you literally have all the big CZcams recovery guys gettin you out of a crappy situation

I swear I am going to click on this channel one day, and see Rory and Trail Mater completely upside down driving with one hand and holding his phone with the other. He'll be saying, 'OK NASA. Stay right where you are, and I'll have your Mars Rover back on its wheels before you know it. Do you need me to call in at the Moon on the way back and collect that Hasselblad camera you left there ? No problem.'

I just wanna say I wish there was a part 2 to this video showing Rory finishing out the ride and taking on more obstacles and riding for a longer amount of time just to show everyone with him the skills this man has It is so cool to see the intimidation in other riders and how funn he makes the trip no negativity just happy to help and ride 🤝
Trail blazing rock crawling all the way. The combined knowledge, combined rigs and jeeps all come together to make a perfect day out on the rocks. I never imagined two years ago after watching one of Matt’s off-road recovery’s that I would get to witness so much fun coupled with so much experience in one place - CZcams. All of you guys are awesome. Outstanding skills and machine Rory. Thanks again for another day in the life of some rock crawling community’s life. When you all come together to help one another out, it is awesome. Men, and women at their best.

I love the variety of cameos in this recovery. I dont think there’s ever been a video with so many people in it. Change of pace from the usual quiet and orderly recovery videos. Looks like a fun day.

That was *THE* best video I've seen yet! And I don't mean just on *your* channel, but out of all the others like Fab Rats, MORR... and many more that were present in this video! The camera angles and footage was just AWESOME and it was really good to see SO many people together working to get that Toyota fixed. Whoever edited this did an amazing job! Rory you make the Escalator look easy like it is another regular day. I loved the ending when you decided to show people why you are one of the best going up the obstacle backwards keep being you.
I will say watching TrailMater doing front digs is something I really enjoy because I don't know of that many vehicles that can do that. The only other one is the Moorvair

Who wouldn't? The problem is that it puts such a tremendous strain the whole front end that those types of maneuvers are usually reserved for dedicated tube chassis competition buggies and RC cars.
The last time I was around to see a Jeep try and do a front 'dig' the right front U-joint exploded,shattered the guts of a WARN hub,and ruided the ARB front locker/carrier and housing....and that was in a 3300 pound Jeep that probably weighed less than 1/2 of what Trail Mader does.

Is there anyone you’d rather have on a trail ride with you than Rory. If it’s broken he’ll fix it. If he can’t fix it, he’ll tow you home. And he even fills in with the stand up routine when Mike is not there. 😀. And going up backwards without a spotter while casually talking on a cell phone … priceless!
Rory! you know what's better than a glass side mirror? a polished piece of stainless! might get a little distorted if you bash it into a tree branch or a rock, but you can still use it to see things behind you. Stay safe, keep posting Trail Mater content!

I got an old shoe box i keep receipts in, its a transgender shoe box. I got a small cooler on my truck i keep random sockets in, its a transgender cooler and i keep my dogs food in a large bucket, its a transgender bucket.. Stand up comedy gold right??? I got loads more of these, i keep my socks in a laundry basket in my closet, its a transgender laundry basket.. Oh i better stop im probably cracking you up too much

Trail mater is set up to address just about anything on the trail. Amazing piece of equipment there.

You're a better man than me Rory. I'm a mechanic by trade, and every time I go wheeling I end up mechanicing on everything. It has taken all the fun out of it, so I've basically given up.
I’m surprised that everyone doesn’t try to do a trail ride with you.

fact that his youngest boy was sick , and his wife , Michelle , wasn`t too keen on the rock crawling . In addition, she was still recovering from a car accident where her
car was written off .

It's got to be a good feeling for anybody on a trail ride when they see Rory and trail mater join them. You have to know that if you break anything your chances of getting out of there, either by repair or tow, increase by 100%! Awesome job as usual Rory!
