    That's why the youth players should make the squad depth/backup for the team next season. Forson, Dan gore, oyedele, amass, lacey, fletcher, bennett and vitek should be understudies in their respective positions. However, for lacey, its somewhat of a problem that he's a right winger since garnacho, amad and antony are taking up space there.

      We have better cdm talents than Oyedele. I think he should be sold for his own development.

    Foden started playing for City’s first team when he was 17. He featured 5-10 times in his first season so we may see Lacy next term.

    I love this idea and have been dreaming of the club doing this for a while now. As for the teams you suggested, the only two I'd change would be the Belgium team and the MLS . Genk have a insane talent pool and has done so for years as for the MLS Atlanta United, who is consistently a good team.

      it only takes watching one game of highlights to see the youth teams aren't playing the same formation/setup - u18s are playing a 3back if I recall correctly

    Very good analysis 👍 they could even go on loan to the French 2nd division or Spanish 2nd division, if that level is too high, why not the Scottish 2nd division or even the Irish league, there's still a good fan base there and it's a good challenge for them, but for me, these two seem primed for the Spanish 2nd division, it looks like their style of play

    I woupd not be scared about sending players some teams in Portugal cause if we owned a team we would own all their teams including their b teams and so.e b teams in portugal are either 2nd or third division in portugal meaning if we develop them probably we could have a b team in the second division and if rhey impress we can let them do the jump to the first team in the first division meaning they dont have to move clubs and county to make a step up

  • @-_-DatDude

    Im all for the multi club system as it promotes sustainability.
    On average 2 players from an entire youth class breaks into the first team squad a season.
    Obviously the goal/dream would be to double that quota per season consistently. Even if your pragmatic and say it will forever remain as 2 academy gratuates per season... Figuratively speaking atleast the academy lads would be battle tested. We are currently winging it and got very lucky with Kobbie Mainoo seamless integration to the first 11 despite not being battle tested.

      If that’s the case the top development clubs are Philadelphia Union, New England Revolution, FC Dallas, and Chicago Fire.
      Another point I’m not sure if you touched is increased global scouting networks for a cost that can be distributed across the club network.

    If these players need to go to Australia or Asia to find their current level and they can't find a club in any of the top 5 leagues or Championship that'll provide them with gametime, they that would mean they're way off competing for a place in Uniteds first team.

  • @RedDevilDog1207
    @RedDevilDog1207 Před měsícem

    Love the idea but MLS wouldn’t be good for this due to DP cost, and the physicality of league on a 16 yo under developed kid. There are a few young kids playing on first teams but they are early developed physically. Could see them in an MLS Next Pro level though while also recruiting young Americans the other way.

  • @Danny-iv5uu
    @Danny-iv5uu Před měsícem +1

    MLS is a terrible idea. Having our young talent playing in a technically poor league means they come back without a challenge playing against poor players,playing with poor players and will find themselves struggling to transition to prem and first team more than if they stayed and trained at carrington. Keep them in European leagues where the quality is better,just be smarter with placement unlike Hannibal’s loan

    • @AtlantisFootball
      @AtlantisFootball  Před měsícem

      It’s not a terrible idea you are missing the point completely. The MLS is not technically poor hence why a lot South American talents are going over there.
      They need to go somewhere they are going to stay. Keeping them at carrington where they aren’t getting senior minutes is probably the worse thing you could do

  • @mkk2010
    @mkk2010 Před měsícem

    Well "experienced" players are not working, might as well use young players and let them gain experience. So in a few years time we have a decent team

    MLS is the worst place for player development. Especially for them to learn the tactical side of the game.
    Portugal or France might be the better options.

    • @AtlantisFootball
      @AtlantisFootball  Před měsícem

      Its not, the MLS is a much better place for player development than the championship in terms of the tactical side of the game because a lot of their tactical ideas have been imported from modern day europe rather taken from the 80s and 90s in English football which is where a lot of old school managers in the lower leagues of english football get their methods and ideas from
