The Oakland A’s owner hated when they made it to the playoffs. So what did he do, get rid of all the players that got them there. And that stadium is so disrespectful.
Why would he hate that they made the playoffs? What an idiot he is then 😂
They were first round exits those couple of years. What a waste
@@TBevill1231 That’s true. But is it better to make the playoffs or never get there?
Craziness. That's pretty much the plot of Major League. Never good when you're emulating a bad guy from a movie lol
@@aaronbroomfield4420 That’s exactly what’s going on. He got a team/ City that he hates. But these business men talk. He knew Golden State & raiders was leaving Oakland way before anyone started talking about it.
As a long time A's fans. And NFL fan I'm slowing realizing we are the commanders of the MLB
@@Flirken1nah - I think he’s right. If the other owners would’ve let him, Snyder would’ve moved the commies to Tijuana just to skirt some laws
@@Flirken1 *3 rings

I am a Washington Redskins fan / commanders fan. This comment hits too close to home for me haha
Don’t diss my commanders like that😂😂
Connor and jetts beef always catches me off gaurd lmao love it
Jeez. I did not expect Jet to come with the heat like that 😅😅
im 42 been a As fan my whole life, we deserved better
That was the greatest baseball game I have ever been too in my life
Was at the game last night, felt like the playoffs lol. Might’ve been the last time it ever gets that full. It was a cool experience cause all of us joined in for one cause and came together for one night 🙏 sell the team n stay in Oakland
I've always said that if franchises leave a city the shouldn't be able to take the name with them.
The A's brand should be owned by the people of Oakland so that if an MLB expansion happens the new team inherits their history and keeps the name
@@moosiethestaggie5100they were the As in Kansas City and Philadelphia too
Being there yesterday was awesome! I’m a giants fan, however I’m close with many A’s fans. I loved every second of it. Felt like a small part of history.
Seeing this on the Pat Mcafee show just made my day. This was one of the best games I have ever been to and have been a season ticket holder for 10 years. Thank you for shining a light on what is fans accomplished. We even had a fan funded giveaway of 7000 shirts that said sell. What a great night.
I was there as well. Unreal experience. Such a shame to see the gaslighting and everything coming from the commissioner
I was there Pat! We did this strategically, we want new ownership! They keep giving away our core players and not signing anyone. We still compete and love that coliseum! Got so much love for this fanbase! We just want a new spot in Oakland and it’s 90% finished! Finish the job in OAKLAND!
So you gave a bunch of money to a bad owner to “Boycott”? This country is getting so fckn stupid.
No
Umm they’re going to Vegas. If you wanted them to stay then y’all probably should have been going to the games
@@davidbarnes4742 lol, right?
Umm, how bout the owner spend some money so we aren't the farm team for the rest of the league anymore? Easy to blame the fans and not the billionaire.. I guess? People who don't think we supported this team have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to Oakland fans.
Such a shame what has happened to one of the most successful and iconic baseball teams in history. Hopefully they get a new owner because they deserve so much better
What team have you been watching this whole time?
Lol most successful. You’re delusional
@@ac8274 what are you talking about
@@Brandon02493 I get the feeling he doesn't know the 100+ year history of the A's.
@@chrisbg99 yeah that's what I'm guessing
Everybody keeps saying that they shouldn't put money in the owner's pocket, well, this was announced right before the game:
"Two hours before the game, the A's announced they were donating all ticket revenue from the game to the Alameda County Food Bank and the Oakland Public Education Fund. One of the sticking points in the Nevada deliberations was the team's commitment to the community, which was deemed inadequate by several opponents. The bill passed only after it was amended to force the team to commit $1.5 million to the community once the ballpark is completed."
The Jet is a 10 out of 10 guest! Bring this man on more!
So glad this is getting National Coverage!! SELL THE TEAM
Its the only time we get national coverage.
i dont know why any city would build a staduim for the cheapest owner ever
I was there in the coliseum, it was the most exciting pissed off fan experience I’ve ever been to. Sell the team!
People who think Oakland has no fans don't realize that they've basically been doing a regular boycott on the ownership for the past 2 years. The point of this doing a reverse boycott for one night was to prove that there are still a lot of loyal and passionate A's fans and show that they are not the problem.
The memories of taking Bart home after an A’s game.
Always an event on Bart hammered
@@jft7174 Too short or Mac Dre playing on a speaker.
@@ohgee674 I was in the E-40 BART car ;)
The last time I took the Bart to a game, we had to get off a stop early cuz some someone was stuck under a train
Man… that was so damn convenient
Connor got REKT😂😂😂😂
As a kid my grandfather had season tickets for the A's. I went to 2 world series at the coliseum. Rode bart with crazy fans after games. Great memories, that said they deserve better. Hope the franchise gets back to being successful
2-3 years ago A’s had a great team, 4-5 of the players are CURRENT ALL STARS
Matt Chapman and Matt Olsen 😭
Murphy, Bassit, Hendricks, Semien, Marte ☹️
If Fisher didn’t go scorched earth on the team, fans, and city we would be going to all the games. 18,000-35,000 per game easy. Just look at the attendance history records. If we got a shiny new stadium in Oak, it would be even higher.
Go back and look at the previous rosters between 2012 till now and it’s littered with Allstars and Champions. Sonny Gray, Josh Donaldson, Sean Doolittle, Max Muncy, it seems like every player that’s gets free from here becomes a superstar else where.
@@Charles_Groebs Imagine the power house the A's would be if they kept Muncy, Olsen and Chapman.
For those that want the missing context in the A’s pursuit of a new Oakland stadium:
After the team’s failed attempts to relocate to other Bay Area cities, the A’s haphazardly proposed building on the Laney College / Peralta site. They never even got permission from the community college district so it was shot down quick. Then came the Howard Terminal proposal. That wasn’t just for a stadium, but an ambitious creation of basically an entire new neighborhood in Oakland’s waterfront. The proposal had many hurdles and involved many governing agencies due to it’s location: City of Oakland, Alameda County, and Port of Oakland. Things were moving slowly, almost stalled at times, but many hurdles were cleared. Oakland also secured hundreds of millions of dollars in state and federal grants for the project and surrounding infrastructure. There were also concerns around affordable housing. The A’s had been negotiating quietly with the city and new mayor up until that April announcement. Was Oakland slow to react and at time not taking the A’s seriously? Yes. But the A’s definitely dropped the ball too. Multiple times. Some of Fisher’s ambitions and demands were honestly too much. He never liked that Oakland did not want to provide him with a taxpayer subsidized stadium. Can’t really fault Oakland / Alameda County as they’re still paying the bonds on that stupid monstrosity that is Mt. Davis (which was part of the agreement to get the Raider’s back from LA in the 90’s).
The owner wanted to move to Fremont on a piece of land he owned but Fremont rejected it. He's been trying to stall and get out of Oakland pretty much since he bought the team. He has used every excuse not to stay.
@@jw3638 He’s another nepo baby billionaire who never had to work for anything. His parents built their legacy in San Francisco. Hell, SFMOMA is all but named after them. But John Fisher has forever tainted his family’s name.
theyre both in the wrong. A's ownership blows and Oakland just runs teams out of town. Oakland ran the raiders and the warriors outta town and now they're gonna lose a ton of jobs
@@deuces_shoelessHow is Oakland driving its teams away? Because it won't pony up hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded welfare to billionaires? Raiders left because they wanted a welfare stadium like the A's. Warriors left not because Oakland was bad for them (they won 4 NBA championships in Oakland and fans packed Roaracle every night), but because SF is more lucrative, period. No amount of money Oakland could produce was going to beat a stadium on prime SF real estate right next to the SF Giants ballpark. Sure, Oakland fans were disappointed with the Warriors move, but they didn't lose the Warriors in the way they lost the Raiders or will lose the A's.
@@deuces_shoeless wrong.
Lacob made plans to move the warriors the second he bought the team, regardless of what Oakland did.
And Google 'Mt Davis'. Oakland bent over backwards to bring the Raiders back from LA, and Mark Davis skipped town the second they gave him any pushback
I remember waiting in line after an A’s game to get Rickey Henderson autograph when I was a kid. It was the tail end of his career but he stole a couple bases that game. I’ll never forget handing him a ball to sign
90% of the deal in Oakland was done plus they would own the land they were on in Oakland, their essentially renting in Las Vegas. A truly dumb owner in John fisher.
Thank you Pat for bringing this situation to your show!
They been boycottin more than packing it out
Sad to see the A’s go because they are an iconic franchise. Moving to Vegas could be good but the Raiders are still trying to figure it out as well.
Raiders home games are filled with the other teams fans it’s a disgrace
It'll be a win in the long run, although the decision to have the stadium built on the strip is a dumb one. Way too much crap down there already
In my personal opinion professional athletes and Las Vegas is a horrific combination. Ruggs, Kamara, those other Raider players getting DUIs… it just seems stupid to me.
@@PizzaHutCEOlol truly I mean they moved to the biggest dui city in the nation and immediately had one of their players kill someone. Crazy.
@@TheRealGoat889lol Vegas will never have an atmosphere like an Oakland game.
As a massive baseball fan i love when the jet comes on. Always a great guest
If the fans really want to do something about this, they should sue the ownership of the Oakland A's for fraud.
Hey, Oakland has now raised over $400 million in grant money from the state, bullcrap they haven't tried to get a stadium done
of course they have, but Fisher isn't letting it happen
the bastard prefers whoring out the team over keeping it where it belongs
I think people keep forgetting that Fister didn't want to spend any money and just expected the Town to foot the whole bill for a new staduim.
@@russellchristian4320 Yeah, he's just swell

It was Amazing last night and brought back good memories.
Great goodbye if a miracle does not happen.
It’s sad when a POS owner who spits in the face of his employees & fans is rewarded with a brand new stadium & relocation to the most desired place for a sport team to go
Mlb should have investigated after paying his players next to nothing while profiting off the mlb streaming revenue without having to sell tickets. He’s a disgrace.

Joe Lacob has expressed interest in the Oakland A's in the past. He is part owner of the Warriors and a self-made billionaire unlike Fisher. He has access to venture-capital and much greater financial resources. Sell the team to him and his team. Nevada will regret doing business with Fisher.
Living in Oakland for 15 years taught me that the city is incapable of doing anything right.
Great segment. When This show goes on ESPN you think Passen going to come in like that? No, he will have to water it down.
Yup this show is gonna suck
Whoever stuck with the A's from the moneyball era to now deserves respect.
You gotta be loyal to stick with a franchise that guts the team every few years.
A's fans deserve better.
The split between the As and the city was about 80 million for the whole Howard Terminal and coliseum site. The city is about to receive another grant for about 100 million. The A’s stopped negotiating at the last minute . This is on ownership.
John Fisher is the Dan Snider/Donald Sterling of MLB
Nope. He's worst. The MLB's Dean Spanos.
reporter is an absolute savage.
The city of Oakland failed the A's. 27,789 fans is all they could muster to "save" the team? 16 MLB teams average more than that every night. The night before this game had 4848 against the best team in baseball.
Fisher is a disaster as a owner, but Oakland is an utter failure as a baseball town.
Went to the game yesterday. Pics of Fisher's face were pasted on the urinals 🤣🤣🤣
Less than 30,000 attendance and upper deck almost entirely empty, they couldn't even come close to selling out the stadium for the one hyped up big game.
damn bro went at connor there at the end😭
5:54 got me😂
Meanwhile the evil franchise SF Giants working behind the scenes to help Fisher move out of town.
It's no joke that John Fisher Price is still the MLB's version of Dean Spanos.
Not a A’s fan but I hope they could stay in Oakland. It would be weird to see them in Vegas. It’s ashamed they can’t get a new stadium Oakland Coliseum has always been a dump.
What people forget or don’t know is that the A’s were the first champions of the Bay Area! Before the Raiders, 9ers, Giants and Warriors ever won anything, the A’s were already 3X World Series champs and had nothing but HOFers. Without them Oakland and the Bay Area will never be the same!
Oakland is a dump tho
Every major city is a dump because they’re all run by democrats and weirdos. Oakland at least has culture
The A's need to sell to a real owner that will actually spend money on the roster
The city of Oakland did get it done. They were dysfunctional for years but became morw functional in the laat 3-4 years. They passed every environmental, land use and funding hurdle in the Howard Terminal deal. They were 90% done w the new stadium in Oakland in April when the A's made the announcement to move to Vegas
They have been trying to get a stadium built in Oakland for over a decade. The fans should protest city hall.
Team is doing exactly what they should.
I love that Hendrix 'Band of Gypsies' album in the background.
As born an raised in Sacramento i can understand thier pain. We too have had close calls with owners wanting to sell and move the kings. Also being from Sacramento our Triple a team the rivercats for a long time funneled into the As then in recent times now the giants. Sacramento did something similar with the kings. Hopefully the city steps in and makes the right decision.
Shotout to that amazing Band Of Gypsies box set. Insane sets! Love live Hendrix! 🔥
Raiders got taken from US TWICE!!!!!!
As a SF Giants fan this makes me sad. Rivalries make sports way better. And this owner is killing a whole Org. SMH
Thanks for bringing this up, Pat. The owner hasn’t invested a time into the team and blames the fans for not showing up to games. Just sell the team.
As a Texas Rangers fan, I grew up hating the A’s.. that said I really hope they stay in Oakland.. that city deserves a damn team!!
I don't feel bad for the Oakland fans or politicians.
When THREE teams leave... yet they still vote in the same policies over and over again... you don't get a chance to complain. Other cities are willing to put together a stadium package and you're just going to turn into the cesspool of California
Roasting Connor at the end lol 😂
All the ticket sale that night went to Charity. That was the whole point of going on that day specifically.
We have been ho'd for too damn long. We have had great coaches and talent evaluators. But it doesn't matter when the owner isnt paying anyone!!!! Its sad to see my team go but hey, it is what it is. The owner gets what he deserves
Feel for As fans. My team still sucks but at least we got rid of terrible ownership. I know a lot of us have awful owners but at least our owner isn’t such a loser he moves the team to another city just cause.
The athletics owner is moving because he can't get a stadium in Oakland
It says something when every team in Oakland leaves the athletics warriors raiders
@@simoncohen9323 he could if he tried hard enough lol
@@TheTEN24 really how please elaborate how he is supposed to get a stadium in Oakland when the city counsel keeps denying him
@@TheTEN24 again it says alot about a city when all the teams flee
I’m a big baseball fan and I actually had no idea all of this was happening and I feel bad for Oakland fans. Being born and raised in Vegas I’m excited to get a team, but Oakland definitely deserved better than what their owner gave them…
@Justlucky
Vegas might be getting an MLB team & a shiny new ballpark but will still have the same deadbeat billionaire owner.
enjoy john fisher
We gotta keep this team here in Oakland because it's like a friend who's leaving the city and you won't get to see face to face with him ever again. Please stay, sell the team, and if this all works out we gotta renovate the stadium.
The issue is that the city officials won't help with the funding to do so from what I understand. That's why the Raiders left Oakland as well. Oakland is a terribly run city and San Fran is trying to join them from the looks of it all. I think the San Fran team owners have better deals with the city though so they're not as dependent on them.
NO, DUDE!
Oakland giving TAXPAYER money to the CHEAPEST Billionaire baseball owner is the STORY!
The As are last or second to last every year in total salaries. Hell no he doesn’t need OUR money to build his park.
Jet Passan callin Boston Connor a female dog is so funny 😂😂
Gotta love the Trough urinals.
Bad Owners + Bad Local Politicians is what is doing Oakland dirty. The double whammy.
It’s a shame what’s happening in Oakland. The Bay deserves more representation than just SF
I went to an A’s game yesterday, 3 times as many peeps then the game I went to last month. I heard the chant “sell the team” sounded more like “LSD” to me.
As a lifelong resident of Vegas and a huge fan of all Vegas sports, this is awesome!
In Oakland California a half full stadium once a year is the new “packing “ .
It's sad that all these teams who people grew up with are just moving to LA or lv. What's next, all teams in California. Absolutely no respect for small city's passion for local sports.
The Oakland A's are a real life version of the Indians from "Major League"
Good movie to

Im 24 and ive been a fan my entire life. If fisher spent money on the team, i wouldve seen a ws trophy
And then you remember that Kyler Murray got drafted by the A's, but turned it down to play QB for the Cardinals and got PAID for it. Seems like he made the right move.
You bet Oakland deserves better. Oakland deserves better city officials who want to make Oakland great..
SELL THE TEAM
Passan is such a schill for the league
I'm not one for moving teams but has anyone been to Oakland lately?
It’s a long shot but the 1995 Mariners were in a similar situation when it came to get money to replace the Kingdome. They made their first trip to the post season, beat the Yankees and the politicians held a special vote for stadium funding shortly after and it barely passed. But the team is still here. I hope the team finds a way to stay in Oakland.
The rumors of the Mariners leaving Seattle started almost from their beginning in 1977
HOLY JEFF IS THE GOAT LOL X'D
Oakland has far bigger problems to deal with than losing the A’s
man jet is the best guest they have on the show, i hope that never get rid of him

I went to the collusiem for the first time last year. There are bolts missing from the brackets holding up the upper deck. I legit felt unsafe.
I thought it was already decided they are moving to Vegas. I heard the Raiders are PISSED 🤣
Imagine seeing all the money you should be making every night but just continue to mess it up.
Fumbling the bag but they know the real bag is moving.
The legislative arm in Nevada didn't vote on the stadium build in Vegas for tax payer money so they are moving yet
