Also I think you probably already know this, but Venti's music helps with Xiao's karmic debt! It doesn't remove the pain permanently, but the first time XIao heard his music, it quite literally saved him from succumbing to his karma. (This is from his character stories too.) It's really interesting to see that fact implied in the animated trailer. Wish we could see him interacting with Venti and Zhongli both, the two Archons he feels he owes a lot to.
Yeah I realised in the cutscene from the book, it's SO cute, maybe one day we'll see them together!

If you talk to NPC Zhong Li on the 3rd day at the bookstore in Liyue. Zhong Li will ask you to tell Xiao that Happy Lantern Rite'Day. And on the 4th day, Zhong Li will go to see Xiao at Wangshu Inn to tell Xiao to rest. Which makes me want the two of them to meet and talk. Pls mihoyo

If it were not for his outwordly constitution capable of purifying basically anything, he would've suffered much more than simply fainting.

The saddest thing is that what was shown in this story quest was only a small part of what Xiao went through, honestly his profile stories are depressing af.
He used to be gentle and naive being but got tricked and spent hundreads of years enslaved by an evil god and forced to slaughter and devour dreams of the innocent, only after that did he get freed by Morax, who killed his master. And despite that he keeps fighting, this time of his own volition, to protect Liyue. One of his death voicelines says "The day... has finally come." since for him it means he'll finally rest. T_T
I already saw this story quest on your stream but I'll gladly watch it again, really love your reactions^^
Also I'd love to see you read character profile stories someday, they're really interesting and include a lot more story of characters than what's shown in quests. No hurry though, go at your own pace^^

@@BranOnline Friendship 6 is for unlocking all the voiceovers and the Profile stories, but with Friendship 7 you unlock all dialogue interactions in the Serenitea Pot (there are three in total per character).
And if you place in the Serenitea Pot an entire set which is favorite by that character (regardless of the Friendship level) you get another special interaction and some goodies.

My dad destroyed all pictures of my mum after they divorced. So my baby album has pictures with her no longer in them, or just plain missing a load.

One of the things i wanna see the most in the game is venti interacting with zhongli and/or xiao, theres all this setup behind their lores and it would be nice seeing it executed

Just to add, it was Venti's verse (or whatever, I forgot) that saved Xiao from his karma, even though it seems his Karma is still with Xiao.
I accidentally got Xiao last January, and after reading all of Xiao's stories, Xiao's story is sad, in fact every time I read it I almost cry many times.
Theres a world quest after this where you help starsnatcher re build pervases shrine over the course of three days. You can offer incense there every day, so it's become part of my login ritual!!

It is widely believed that it was the Purple/Electro Yaksha who is the Yaksha who survived. If I'm not mistaken, there is a new artifact set (which may be tailored to Xiao) which would explain some things about that last Yaksha.

I love Pervases voice. :) There is a follow-up to this quest btw, which you might be able to stumble upon. I really loved these quests.

In regards to the 5 yakshas, 3 died (lost sanity, turned evil, turned on another yaksha)and 1 vanished. From what I know the one that "ran away" committed suicide or went to another world after Liyue was finally at peace, as there's a world quest in Liyue called "Yaksha's last wish," and there is dialogue in the quest that shows the quest is related to the 4th yaksha. Hope you'll get to do that quest, and have a lovely day :)

Childes and Albedo are probably the best ones imo since the others either feel like a dating sim (mostly towards female characters) or a bit boring. Ayakas and ittos are nice because it feels like you spend time with them and connect with them. I liked the concept of Xiaos but I felt like we barely was with him ;o; I probs think that because you only see him for half of the actual quest lmao

I love xiao, his design, his backstory, his abilities.... I was devastated I lost the 50-50 to him for Diluc.
Honestly , since then I kind of feel Meh about genshin. Plus I didn't get 1 yujin and only chongyuns in that whole debacle.
I did get Zhongli though, so that's nice.
Now to power him up and use him as a tank. Lol.
Actually I've been more into Another Eden atm. They just had the 3rd anniversary and the things they gave out to people was amazing. They really are fair.

they added in the current patch a new daily questline in liyue over 3 days regarding this story quest, i was happy to see them treat the lore of this quest with more respect

There's a world quest called "yaksha's wish", it's about the purple yaksha who run away bcs of his fault if i'm not mistaken. Dont forget to trigger the world quest as well!
xiao is one of myfavorites and as always be.. he carried me for 1 year and last year on his banner igot lucky win both 50/50 and got his c1 and even got his weapon and he is always carrying me on abyss along with his daddy zhong li

After this, you should get access to the new Pervases world quest. When you go past the grilled tiger fish stand in Liyue Harbor, Paimon mentions how you should take some to his statue and you go back to the shrine and find Wang again. It's time-gated (updating each day), but it's very sweet.
Its cool that MHY didnt forget about Wang Ping'an (Starsnatcher) after Xiao's story quest. My man undergo a whole year to redeem himself. He looks really good as well w/o the mask aswell
@@chieftheearl I also especially love that we actually get to work with him to rebuild the shrine and actually come back to see the progress too. I love that we can put incense there, but I do kinda wish there was an offering dish we could put some grilled tiger fish too.

I have a question. Have you done a world quest after Xiao's quest? I'm talking about the quest in which you rebuild Pervases's shrine with Wang Ping'an (Starsnatcher guy)
So Bran, did you manage to get Xiao? I’ve had him since the first go through and ever since I learned about his Elemental Burst I’ve compared it to the Kaioken lmao. Constant damage taken in exchange for increased damage output
after that quest, if you go to the liyue restaurant(I forgot the specifics) you will recieve a world quest for pervases grilled tiger fish
Its the same deal with the 4 winds I think. Theres one of the four winds that just dissapeared, same with the Yaksha. They're out there, really hoping they show up at some point

This quest is one of the sad quest I have ever do in the game. Xiao game play is very deceptive. There is no infinite ult duration in regular gameplay but the pro is better than the con. Xiao gameplay is very fun to play in the test run. In his and shenhe banner, I couldn't got Yu Jin but I want chongyun so I choose Yu Jin in the free character reward. I have not get zhongli yet in the character banner but I get first diluc then I pull the standard to get character or good weapon but I get skyward claymore then I get the chongyun that I want in the free character reward. BranOnline, the 'HI' gameplay is very good then the character god luck of genshin Impact is still can be use in the game. It a very dev mode situation. I got a question, did you done the bean yet? Pervases is the only yaksa I visit everyday to pray because I couldn't get Xiao even though he is behind the temple everyday. I will try to get zhongli within 20 pull cause my pity is 30+. Next banner if I not mistaken, the rumour is the fox lady is in it. I will wait for either Raiden, kazuha and ayaka. If the 3 character is back to back I would choose kazuha. Either way if I lose the race to zhongli, my next 5 star is guarantee because of diluc.

Wait paimon mentions that pervases was a Yaksha. Since from the cutscene, rex lapis summoned only those 5 yakshas, so is pervases one of the other 4 yakshas? Again, pervases did say he was a junior and didn't explicitly mention that he's a Yaksha, could be possible that paimon misunderstood him

That trial xiao make me want him so bad... hahahaha, and saw 12k damage per plunge in trial thinking it is a good damage, but after I build him, im shock because my xiao's plunge doing 40k to 60k without buff.

No, the one who vanised isn't the one who has survived. 3rd one just vanised without a trace, supposedly dead. And the last remaining Yaksha (5th one) is Xiao who fought and survived.
3 died, 4th vanished (unsure if dead or alive) and then Xiao, they haven't mentioned if the missing person is dead :D I'm hoping we get to meet them

@@BranOnline Yeah agreed! Also, I think Xiao is one of the oldest characters, back then Mihoyo wasn't as good as it is now when it comes to quality cutscenes, better storyline. If they had released Xiao now, I'm sure they'd have done better.
