I get frustrated with how many missed shots, fail to pull up shots, zero offensive rebounds, very little defensive rebounds, no strategy being utilized. Makes my head hurt.
Well CC is constantly standing around flat footed, just like her college days at Iowa. The Fever are playing with last yearâs Rookie of the Year, Boston from South Carolina-who showed some brilliance last year and a potential to be another Aâja Wilson type of game changer (who happens to be from South Carolina too).
Only so many former South Carolina players to go around though.
Watching a couple of the games, I quickly noticed her teammates are literally standing around waiting for Caitlin to magically make stuff happen. As for the coach, she needs to find her callingâŠin the fast food industry. The fact that it took two preseason games and two huge losses to finally move Caitlin into the âGeneralâs rollâ as the playmaker tells me sheâs not very bright. âOK Caitlin, stand off to the side over there while double or triple teamed and make something happen.â

How many layups did the big girls miss under the basket? It is unbelievable that they can miss those shots! The rainbow-haired girl is terrible with rebounds and defense under the basket and makes about one out of three shots standing under the net.

Itâs amazing how some people are just losing their mind. The problem is C. Clark. Itâs not the teammates. Itâs not the coach. Itâs Clark. And the last team the fever played against gave her a pass. You can clearly see that the defenders did not block her. For a record, the Indiana fevers had a certain amount of people every year to the game just like New York so theyâre not really doing much with attendance. Try to make it out to be. The problem is Clark. She really wasnât ready.

Yes, we are serious. That is what we're saying. Anyone with eyes could see they're not skilled enough or mentally prepared to catch her passes. Watch her with Czinano and Stuelke at Iowa. They ran the court faster and had better hands. This team does not appear to be built for a PG like Clark. Boston seems slow, lazy and makes bad decisions under the rim in the games I watched.

This is a made up narrative . Turnovers were (8): one offensive foul, 2 times she stepped on the sideline, 3 deflected passes that were stolen before reaching the target and two long passes touched by teammates first. One was an outlet where she tried to lob over Stewart and her teammate was only able to get one hand on it but never controlled. The other she tried to thread the needle on a bounce pass to her teammate between two defenders. The pass made it through but was either deflected or thrown off line. Her teammate tried to reach behind to make the play but the ball hit her hips right as her hands touched the ball and she never controlled it. True her teammates mishandled some other balls that could have led to baskets but they didnât lose possession so no turnovers went to anybody. Clark had a lot of the same type turnovers in college averaging nearly five a game her last year and being high on the list of turnovers all time in the NCAA. She is known for throwing passes others wouldnât which fans love. In college her teammates bobbled balls too. The difference is WNBA players reaction time is better than B10 so instead of a recovery and basket those passes turn into steals. True she was close to another double/double accept a couple of offensive fouls werenât called and a deflected passes went out of bounds or were recovered by teammates before being stolen. Not saying Sides is making good coaching decisions or that a lot of the players that are getting into the game arenât playing to their ability but Clark has to own most of her turnovers.
Go look back at the tape of Caitlin Clark in her last game in college when she lost to South Carolina came off the court and she barely hugged her coach. Just my perception I think she's a spoiled brat she's now in the big leagues you have teammates for a reason can't get along with them your success will be limited.
Play the video it sounds like you're making this up. Five out of eight of those turnovers was Clark's fault three of them were mishandled I watch the game over again. Clark can only fix what she can control and that's taking care of the ball and getting back on defense. Her defense was trash in Iowa and it is trash in Indiana she needs to fix that part of her game also a mid range shot this can make her unstoppable. All baskets win the game not just step back threes.

I watched those games. Clark played solid. As for Indiana fever girls, I can't believe they are playing pro. I'm from Europe and have never watched Wnba before. I'm shocked at how bad that Fever team is. How can you play professional basketball and not be able to catch a pass. Just wow. If I were CC, I'd be frustrated too, tbh.
Sides should still be fired, needed defense but never put Celeste Taylor or Lexie Hull in , Kristy Wallace was no help 1 for 5 , Aliyah Boston looked terrible like she has no confidence left in her game she looked gassed an unsure what to do next, Erica Wheeler needs to be traded. Fever players still can't seem to catch a pass from a Caitlin or make simple layups. The fact that this team is so out of shape and bad at fundamentals lets us know they haven't really been coached.
Caitlin needs to control/orchestrate the offence in every game . Sheâs a complete offensive force, scorer and playmaker. Unfortunately this team is going to continue to struggle the fever aren't going anywhere until the starting lineup has some changes including the coaching spot.

The Iowa girls struggled with her passes at first too. There are stories of them being hit in the head, etc. because they weren't ready when she zipped them the ball. She's an elite passer and they need to be expecting it any time the ball is in her hands.

Feel like it's a lot of things. Boston for example clearly wasn't in the best shape to start off this season. I think the organization as a whole needs a lot of reworking, and we are seeing why they only won 13 games last year.
Also, they were thrown to the wolves right off the bat having to face NY and CONN. NY in particular is a very talented and stacked team. I mean FFS, they have two of the the very best players in the nation with years of experience, Sabrina & Breanna.

Caitlin was drafted by the worst team in the league last season. She is frustrated with the worst team and the worst coach? She is right and she needs help. She made her debut in college and she had not a teammate massive problem with the Iowa Hawkeyes and she still loved her teammates.
This looks like a team that hasnât been playing or practicing for anymore than a month. Thereâs some talent on this team but they all need to focus and that focus should be around Clark being the starting point guard. Offense goes through her and anyone that doesnât like it needs to be let go. This team should be all about helping Clark get better as a pro! It's a team sport, Caitlin is used to vibing with her long time teammates at Iowa. She's used to team chemistry and trust. If I was their coach I would be doing team bonding exercises to get the girls to trust each other intuitively.

I think that if she IS a coach, she will have to. The era of mediocrity in the WNBA can be at an end if the coaching throughout the league is improved! CC has, and the wealth of talent that was drafted this year has exposed the fact that these (Pro) athletes and coaches are not producing a sellable product. Relax. Why does it seem everybody thinks they will play together as well as the Hawkeyes played together within a month? She had the same players with her for 2,3 and 4 years. Even so she averaged 4.7 turn overs a game when her former teammates KNEW the passes were coming. So she has 3 or 4 more turnovers a game with a whole new set of people? Just growing pains. They will get more cohesive with time, if people don't get in the middle of it and screw it up.

Clark one of 4 to score 50 or more and 15 rebounds in their first 3 games in the WNBA and she still has a team that can't perform. Maybe if they can catch and score on half the passes from Clark they might actually have a win. Lets hope Monday will be a better game for Clark against Connecticut for the second time.
