    Anyone seen anything to compete with this with better features?

    After you make your changes do you have to leave the obd device connected in the port of your car? Or can you just remove it? Meaning does it always have to be in the obd insert?

      @DIYReid  Před 12 dny

      Make changes and you can remove it.

    Is their another Subscription free product that competes with this? And if so can you do a review?

    • @DIYReid
      @DIYReid  Před 4 měsíci

      Not that I’m aware of. If there is I’d be happy to review.

    Got a question. Under the heating and a/c function, does it give the option to leave the a/c compressor on after you “cycle the ignition”? Get annoying having to keep pressing the button to turn the a/c back on.

      You can actually change that in the Vehicle's settings under A/C

    Do you have to pay every month to keep the sound off? Will the sound come back if the subscription is canceled?

    • @DIYReid
      @DIYReid  Před 8 měsíci +4

      No. The subscription is only to use the device. Once it’s changed it stays until you change it again.

    Do they have a remote engine start button in the app that could bypass the subscription?

    Thanks for the video! I have 3 questions as far as the features it offers if you have time to go back in and check. Does it offer parking brake service mode so someone can replace the rear brake pads? Can you calibrate the speedometer if someone were to put bigger tires on the vehicle? Are you able to enable the All windows down feature with a long press of the unlock button on the remote. Thanks again. Your video was much appreciated.

      Do you mean to bleed abs?

    • @sandromammi6483
      @sandromammi6483 Před 9 měsíci

      No, since the parking brake is electronically activated on the tundra when it comes time to replace the rear brake pads the rear calipers need to be put into service mode. I was wondering is there is a way to do it with carista. You are able to do this manually with the parking brake switch but it doesn’t always work the first time. You have to follow an exact sequence.

    Can you program the remote start without the subscription?

    • @DIYReid
      @DIYReid  Před 5 měsíci

      You don’t need the subscription for remote start on the key fob.

    • @letstravelsandadventures8326
      @letstravelsandadventures8326 Před 5 měsíci

      YEAH YOU DO. I have a 2023 Tundra that I took to the dealer because I could not use the fob to remote start the truck after the trial subscription expired. I tried using all variations of press lock, lock and lock and hold and nothing worked. 2021 Highlander remote start works fine with pressing lock, lock lock and hold@@DIYReid

    • @DIYReid
      @DIYReid  Před 5 měsíci

      @letstravelsandadventures8326 the remote fob doesn’t connect to the internet so it would have no way of knowing.

      @@letstravelsandadventures8326 You can start the car without a subscription. Press the lock button twice and then hold it down a third time until the lights flashes and 5 seconds later it should start. It's a little finicky to get used to, but 100% don't need any of the subscriptions for that to work.

    Will this void vehicle warranty 2024 Tundra?

    • @DIYReid
      @DIYReid  Před 4 měsíci

      The only way it would void the warranty is if it caused an issue with that specific part.

    Can this stop the car shutting off when you remote start the car and open the door? That is driving us crazy!
