This situation for instance. Toya was not in the wrong for trying to keep quiet about it. His reasoning being he doesn't want to add any more wives into the mix, but the girls are pissed because he wanted to keep it a secret he's getting 3 more wives (which they are the reason he gets married with them in the first place)

for the most part, it was just badly adapted is all. in the original LN, Touya actually learns about having 9 wives all the way back when he first met Bell Flora (the alchemy ward gynoid. But he kept quiet about it as he didn't actually want that to happen. Fast forward to meeting Liora, and she ends up spilling the beans to Touya's fiancees (minus Hilde and Sakura who actually hadn't yet joined at the time). But bottom line is, it's not supposed to be something he "just found out"; it actually was supposed to be something he "hid from his wives"
as for just using his powers to force out of the situation, of course he could. But that means actually turning his back on the relationship with his fiancees. permanently. which he won't do because he actually does love all of them

In fact, part of Yae's invitation to Hilde involved wanting to fill up the remaining 3 spots with women they could trust to love and support Touya. and upon being told the limit would be 9, Hilde hurried to add herself as the 7th of 9.

As much as i Think it is kinda funny especially since all nine wives are in the Room with him. But i Think its just as annoying that touya gets punished for a future he knew nothing about. Especially since its the girls that went over and asked to Marry him all 7 of Them. Yes touya is kinda of a wussy to say the least and dense as hell. But touya was against some of the marriages at the beginning and was even against it atleast until he was Old enough which personally is pretty responsible considering he is a teenager and have all this power in both magic, title and influence. They could easily just Said ok touya no more wives or something but no they Said it was the ok and even their best interest to have more wives. I do agree that touya should this whole a bit more serious and give Them as much love, Care and respect as possible.
But considering he is not in a world he is akin to, he suddenly gains insane amount of power, he meets new allies, suddenly marries 7 woman after hearing they all love him, he gets granted a title, servants and subordinates. Later he has to save a dosen kingdoms from frays which are apparently stronger than most military forces and Can barely be beaten touya. All of that touya has to solve or atleast be part of while he still s teenager. So of course he doesnt have the time be with the girls consistently i mean no one Can.
the only thing I don't like bout Touya is that he folds too easily in front of them, i wished his character had some assertiveness or at least to some degree stand his ground and be a thot slayer at times

i honestly hate the mc's character, and that type of character is sadly used so f***ing much nowadays.....They give the Male mc so much power and knowledge but his character a literal b**ch!! and i know to everyone is their opinion but i prefer mc characters similar to the ones from "i am the heavenly fated villain", "Keep a Low Profile, Sect Leader", or "master this villainous disciple is not the holy child".
would recommend reading these manhwa/manhua they are great and the mc has an actual character and backbone.
