    Non-Catholics should change the wording from "catholic" to "universal church" in their usage of the Nicene creed.

    • @anonjohn7571
      @anonjohn7571 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Catholic means universal. Non-catholics should just come into communion with Christ's catholic church.

    • @Douggg1000
      @Douggg1000 Před 2 měsíci

      @@anonjohn7571 I do not disagree with the definition of "catholic". But using the term "catholic" in the Nicene creed presents overtones of the Roman Catholic Church - which not universal, but specifically under the Vatican hierarchy and authority.

    • @anonjohn7571
      @anonjohn7571 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @Douggg1000 The word catholic is also used in the apostles creed and recited by orthodox and some protestants. It just means universal. Also, no matter what kind of mental gymnastics you attempt because you were influenced to hate catholics, you cannot escape the fact that the catholics were and always have been the original Christians and it's riddled in history.

      @@anonjohn7571 I am non-denominational, neither Catholic nor Protestant. I have no hate of Catholics whatsoever.
      The disciples were first called "Catholics" at Antioch in Acts 11:26 ?

      @anonjohn7571 Před 2 měsíci

      @Douggg1000 I am well aware calling Christians catholic, is a biblical term. You are anti-catholic tho, because you refuse to acknowledge catholics are Christians and the original Christians, to the point you want to change the wording. Non-denomination is protestant, it's one of thousands sects within protestantism.

    St Spryridon and St Alexander of Svir agree all three are God. St Alexander saw the triune even though he was Eastern Orthodox his visit was Catholic. Like St Spryridon and others show that our limited human understanding, logic, and languages make it hard to comprehend God. This is why arianism grew. His glory is vast and great like Padre Pio affirms, spanning dimensions, stars systems, microcosms, and possibilities.

      Catholic means "universal" There is one true church, that of the body of all believers, past, present and future, the bride of Christ. It includes Roman Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants, all who can truly profess and believe the historic creeds of the church.
