RICKY, I have noticed my S7 settings are different from yours in some ways. Your "display" is my "display and wallpaper". Why is that? I have viewed your 20 hidden features and I love it. Thank you for the tips.
You forgot 1 "hidden" feature. Enabling the developers options! Go to settings, scroll down to the phone's info and tab it. Than tab 'software info' once, scroll down again to 'build number', and tab that 7 times. Now there's a new button in the settings menu. It has some great stuff for the more techie phone user :)
Hi, and thanks for your videos.. I learned so many new things about my phone. I was unable to move my apps onto my memory card when I tried. The button to move to the app the the external memory isn't there to press on that final screen. Am I doing something wrong?
+suzanne keller That's also our problem. S7 edge ate 10G for system apps (Oculus etc.) and left with 20G. Everything you downloaded with apps that can't be moved will add in phone memory. We bought 128G external storage but seems it is useless. :(

I live in Los Angeles and use the GoMetro app. I had downloaded the schedules. The app became 183mb. I went to the app manager. I chose to move the app to external storage just as the video shows. After that, I went to the file manager. The app and data were still on the internal storage. There are videos that explain how to enable the phone's ability to actually move apps to external storage.
The Keep Screen Off in Dark Places does not work if you have Edge Screens enabled, just an FYI. The Edge screens also make it VERY easy for your phone to go into the emergency dialer and dial 911. Had this happen 2 times before i realized it was the Edge Screens.

Why is my galaxy s7 different than yours? Mine doesn't have a LOT of the same stuff. Like my camera/ video quality. I tried to take your advice on video quality and my video doesn't say HD or any of that, it just says 1:1, 16:1 bla bla... and I don't have galaxy labs in my advanced features. I don't get it. Is it because of how my phone is set up vs yours, or because of updates since this video.....?
I bought my s7 edge Sep '17. The difference is likely that we have Android 7 Nougat, whereas this video was with Android 6 Marshmallow. There were quite a lot of changes, including the camera settings. E.g. my video resolution list is QHD, FHD, 1:1, HD and VGA, with the resolution for each next to the name. The still image settings are different too, now accessed by swiping right on the camera. Galaxy Labs was also removed.
Preordered this phone about 12 hours ago. As a long time iPhone user, I really struggled with this decision, but this phone was calling me to it. I am now freaking out over switching to android and all that pertains to that. Lol.
I love the pulse feature where the phone takes your pulse, all you do is open the s health app and press for heart rate then you place your finger on the sensor on the back of your phone under the flash light, you can also take your stress level

Many of these seem to be removed by my carrier. No idea why, but it's definitely a trend. Lots of the settings shown in videos of this time simply are not there on my S7.

I wish Androids had a way of sending videos via text messaging - like iPhones. Basically, ANY video you take is too large for sending via text messaging or even attach to an email. iPhone users are sharing videos all the time!
But this capability of sending video files is native from iPhone to iPhone, without having to download a specific app to make it happen. What you're describing is completely dependent on the person to whom you are sending the video has the app and checks it.
You're asking how it works on iPhones? I don't know. All I know is that iPhone user are always sharing high quality videos through text messaging. I suspect that there is some proprietary thing going on, that is native to iPhone, that allows these very large video files to go through the messaging system. For instance, everybody in my family has an iPhone except me. Whenever anybody in my family sends a video to everybody, and I'm included in the text message, the video file is reduced in quality to be almost unviewable. However, if I'm eliminated from the list of recipients, the video quality goes up dramatically. That is because an Android phone simply cannot accept large video files through the text messaging system. iPhones, somehow, circumvents that and it is obviously something unique and native to iPhones.

So I have been having problems with my 32 GB micro SD card I used it in my old phone and it didn't work. I have it in the S7 now and it still doesn't work it showed up on both phones, says I still have 29.8 GB (That's what it started as.) and cant move anything onto it. 1080p 60fps may not provide the best image quality depending on what matters to you the most. You can't use HDR on 60fps, for instance, and there are many circunstances where the S7 excellent HDR makes a huge difference in image quality. Apart from the fact that some people don't even like movies with high frame rate, for not being "cinema-like". We've all heard about the "soap-opera effect", right?
ye but you need to make your house a trusted location so u might have to have gps not sure. personally i dont have any trusted locations on my s7 cuz gps wasted a lot of battery on my old phone so im not evengonna try

My S7 doesnt have the Categories but instead it has the Favorites where you can pic(or star) your favorite photos and it will go directly to the Favorites
You can't, there's only a certain MB limit up can't go over even on Gmail you can't even go over 25MB you'll have to upload to YT and then send it to your friend just upload video so only those who have the link can view it that way it will remain private.

I read recently that Android N is rumored to incorporate a "no app drawer" ui standard.

I'm not sure if you know why my s7 edge when I get a phone call and I have it on vibration mode on the notification panel it still makes the ring tone

I can't find the Always On section in Themes. it seems like I remember seeing it sometime ago but it's not there now

I have a trail cam that uses a regular SD card I like to be able to download pic from that card to my galaxy S7 without loading them into my laptop is it possible? and how if it is.
1080p 60fps may not provide the best image quality depending on what matters to you the most.
You can't use HDR on 60fps, for instance, and there are many circunstances where the S7 excellent HDR makes a huge difference in image quality.
Apart from the fact that some people don't even like movies with high frame rate, for not being "cinema-like".

Yeah it does, and i think theres a setting that could change that if you dont like it like that

ye but you need to make your house a trusted location so u might have to have gps not sure. personally i dont have any trusted locations on my s7 cuz gps wasted a lot of battery on my old phone so im not evengonna try

So in that case, logically it would seem to follow that if you traveled for business, to get calls at night in every hotel you stayed in, you would have to make that a trusted location.
Seems like an awful lot just to use the phone.

My S7 doesnt have the Categories but instead it has the Favorites where you can pic(or star) your favorite photos and it will go directly to the Favorites
I cant see all of those icons on my screen, effect, hdr, etc & I cannot figure out how to get them to show up

You can't, there's only a certain MB limit up can't go over even on Gmail you can't even go over 25MB you'll have to upload to YT and then send it to your friend just upload video so only those who have the link can view it that way it will remain private.

+Jack Againski you didn't get my point. i wasn't talking about the ' Always on' display. i just got my s7 a week ago and yesterday while surfing the net , the screen freezes and went black while the blue led was on . but i was able to search in youtube what to do. and my phone works well now.
How come my new Galaxy S7 don,t have the option to change application storage location from phone memory to SD card, it's running Marsmallow 6.0.1?
