Sean, AVC is Automatic Volume Control (radio controls). When you are going fast and the noise is loud the volume goes up and when you come to a stop or slow down, the volume goes low. Also, in the right saddle bag there is an air outlet to inflate the Harley guy's flat tire!! There is a hose in that bag to extend the air outlet. The right side lower fairing controls that outlet function along with the air adjustable suspension. Just some future FYI.

I have one that color but a 1994 with over 150,000 miles and still looks and drives excellent..I had a 1800 I went back to the 1500.. I think it's one if the if not the best bike out there.. plenty of power, corners like a crotch rocket and is smooth...

Had one of these for 12 years its a shame there not fuel injected but i found this model 1500 handles better than the 1800 gold wing plus there is more room for bags an so on i kept in my bedroom 24/7 sold her and bought the 1800 goldwing so great on fuel but would rather the 1500 instead of the 1800 goldwing .
