I had a GL1500 of the same color which I kept for 13 yrs. I changed my front steering bearings to the All Balls tapered bearing and what a difference in the steering. I also went with the hard wired heated gloves and they get real warm and dont worry about the battery does not die. Be safe, have fun.

39 mpg!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that good of mileage. I’m happy with 34 maybe 36. Rain or cold weather, 1500 Goldwings provide best protection of any motorcycle I’ve run across. Cruising speeds, I’d like to keep it around 70 - 75, but traffic keeps getting faster, and faster. You keep the information coming, I enjoy it😀

Yeah I’m happy with the mileage, my friend got 41mpg with his 1800 efi so I thought 39 was exceptional. Thank you Mark, and thanks for the comment

I enjoy your videos. Rain -X makes a water repellent for plastic such as face shields. I haven’t tried it but could be a solution to visibility in rain.

Hello Bill, yes I have some of that and haven’t even tried it yet. 😁 But I will have to give it a try, my new windshield said not to put anything on it but maybe I’ll try it on my visor. Thank you

We had a great time on our trip. Herbie and my son are really fun to go riding with. I'm hoping we can do another trip next year!

Yeah, rain sure does kinda ruin things. It sure is nice cruising the open road on a beautiful day though, can’t hardly beat it 😁

Hi, enjoy your Goldwing series, I rode motorcycles when i was in my 20's, got married, sold my Bike, 2 years ago, at 60 yrs old I took my test again, I bought a Honda Silverwing interstate [1982] these bikes are full dressed mini Goldwing's, that weigh in at about 550lbs, I'd like to move to a Goldwing, but worry about the size and weight of these big bikes? what do you think?

Hello, that’s awesome that you are getting back into riding! The Goldwing is a little around 940lbs or so, but you wouldn’t know it while riding it’s balanced so well. The only problem is when you stop, if you go a little too far to one side or the other you will tell it’s a heavy bike. If you have strong legs it shouldn’t be a problem. Stopping and very slow speeds is probably the only thing to be concerned with. I don’t really have a problem and I’m 63 years old and skinny fart so you should be fine I would think
