hi, everyone! i hope you enjoy my video sharing my college decision reactions. i applied to 20 schools (washington state university, harvard university, university of michigan, university of washington, northeastern university, johns hopkins university, university of california, los angeles, university of california, berkeley, rice university, washington university in st. louis, northwestern university, vanderbilt university, duke university, cornell university, dartmouth college, princeton university, yale university, brown university, university of pennsylvania, and stanford university). if you are applying to colleges soon, please be kind to yourself. you will end up where you need to be. thank you for watching!

For future college applications I would recommend to trim their list to ten max. If a school doesn’t excite you, don’t waste your time. My daughter applied to only six and was accepted to 5. Rejected by Stanford. She only applied to one Ivy (Brown) and got accepted. Their aid sucks though. By keeping the list small you can really give more focused and thought out essays. Just don’t forget to throw in a favorite safety school. Having more time to devote to scholarships is also a plus.

@@bellsurprise3203it just means you should have one or two applications to schools that are either not competitive or at least easy to gain admission to. Just in case you get rejected from all of the competitive schools.

@@bellsurprise3203 a safety school is a school that you know you're probably going to get into, like your stats are way above the average and the acceptance rate is high.
