For the Armorall one, diethylene glycol is an interesting chemical. Wine-makers in Austria in the '80s used it as a sweetener for their wine to improve taste and yield (since they could use fewer and crappier grapes) and many people got sick, and it ruined the reputation of Austria's wine industry for 15 years. I inherited it after he passed. It basically sat for about 3 years. Mom drove it occasionally but she didn't realize it had fuel filler doors on both sides. One of the tanks was full of 3 year old gas. I flew to Oklahoma from New Orleans to drive it back. While driving around town for a couple of days before heading south I switched tanks and the engine sputtered and died. The inside of the gas cap smelled like paint thinner. I put 6-8 cans of Berryman B-12 Chemtool in there and it cleaned it up enough for me to drive the tank dry. I had the throttle body injectors cleaned when I got back to New Orleans. I swear by Berryman.

I know it's one of the best that penetrates bolt treads the best to ease loosening. Also seafoam treatments do remove carbon and leave your engine running and idling smoother after. For the fuel it also cleans and lubricates etc.

The tyre sealant stuff works great - you just need to read the instructions.
If you dump it in and don't rotate the tyre for a day, then sure you might possibly get a balance issue, but the ones I have seen tell you to drive the car for a certain distance/time after using it, so it spreads evenly around the interior of the tyre, hence no out of balance.

I've used Slime one time. Pulled out the roofing tack and removed the Schrader valve and put in roughly a teaspoon of the slime rotated tire to where the function with points right down and put air in the tire it sealed and was still balanced. I use seafoam in my 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9 sucking it through the vacuum system and surprisingly I did get a improvement running and response after 290,000 Miles

@@birdlady2725 2004, seafoam works perfectly fine in the gas tank and in the intake every now and then. If you have a GDI car that has problems with carbon buildup, then use seafoam before going to a mechanic.

I like how he does give certain products some leeway for the certain times it can be used. Tire leak- great ONLY for emergencies, SeaFoam only for 2 strokes, etc. Actual information, not just, "I hate this crappy product, don't ever buy it."

  • @charlesrockwell3923

Calk up another one for Scotty. I used Slime to repair tire leaks caused by construction nails. Each tire treated with Slime was unusable over 50 mph because the imbalance was so bad, and the tires could not be rebalanced. Lesson learned. If you have to repair nail leaks, don't use Slime. AND I really don't like the way Slime hides this defect from their customers. They know all about the imbalance issue and never put any warning on their product and refuse to acknowledge that Slime has a serious product defect causing a dangerous driving condition and ruining your tires.
