Todd's eclectic ballads like those of prince is just beyond words where few artist fail to ever get to despite the many drugs they consume.

I agree 100%. Hard to believe!
Oh, he certainly was in the 70s. Problem was he swung wildly between AM Friendly pop ballads (several that were Top 10 hits) and prog/jazz stuff that required far more attention from the listener. He always put on a really great live show, though.
